Mel is a legend. The man does not miss. Whatever you may think of opinions he expressed in the past or present. The world is a poorer place without Mel Gibson movies
Braveheart is a modern version of Kirk Douglas' 1960 movie Spartacus, a hero who rebels against oppresion leading an army, and a romantic love story, they both die in a cross.
Seen Mel Gibson on my wedding night in Double Bay, Sydney, Australia. He had sunglasses on as he walked through the hotel foyer. He smiled at us as we walked past. You could tell he was a star and a stand up guy.
I see Mel Gibson, I press instant like. Can't help it. This guy has real masculinity, traditional values, morals and integrity. Which is something I can't say about this generation of men nowadays.
I met Mel after mad max came out, at Queens Beach hotel in Bowen Qkd Aus, so real, so nice, he had drinks with locals and blended in, not pretentious, a good man. Much respect.
We love Mel. He's charismatic, smart, extremely funny, speaks the truth and he's the man. He still got it. We want movies with him and directed by him.
Mel Gibson is truly a piece of work, you never know what he’s gonna say next, you never know what movies gonna be in next. I list him as one of America’s top 10 actors ever… And the show will go on.
What most people don't realise is that Mel is one of the great stage actors as well. I saw him in Death of a Salesman in Sydney's, Theatre Royal with the great Warren Mitchel. Ohhhh my word the man can act... Mesmerising performance.
As a combat vet I love his comments about PTSD. "They used to call it 'shell shock', then they called it 'battle fatigue'. Now I don't know what they call it... 'nuts' I guess". This is partly why I love Lethal Weapon and Riggs. Mel definitely understands the psyche of soldiers
People don't get just how rich he is. He is one of the wealthiest actors in Holywood. He never needs to work again, but he does because he loves doing it.
@@V3ntilator I don't think Bale's house is that cheap, and also he probably has few more cars, just using the cheap one to not bring any atention to himself. Zuckerberg also drives a cheap car but at the same time owns probably more expensive ones and few yachts.
Mel, a true heavyweight of filmmaking. Hard to think of a bad film he was in. Still not too late to give us an old grizzled, rough and gruff Max to round off Mel's Mad Max franchise. Great to see he's on his way back after is breakdown. His talent has been missed.
I love how generous Mel is with his time and his answers. He gets asked the same questions in every interview he does, but he answers them with enthusiasm like it's the first time he has been asked.
What a brilliant man. He can still pull of Mad Max way too good than all of today's actors combined. Not too mention, the king of money that can Producers can make off of it. He has still got it.
One of the last great movie stars ...if your in 30s , 40's or 50s we grew up watching this guy ....just look at his career from Mad Max, the Lethal Weapon movies ,Air America , Taqueila Sunrise to Braveheart , Conspiracy theory ,Signs and loads of other great movies ...amazing actor
The Patriot has always been one of my favorites of his. Great movie with a phenomenal cast. Mel Gibson, Heath Ledger, Tom Wilkinson, Jason Isaacs, etc.
Mel Gibson is an amazing person...and the most thankful I am to him is for using and subsequently saving the demolishing of Trim Castle [co Meath, Ireland].
I’m not sure anyone will read my comment but I will write anyway. I always wanted to meet Mel Gibson for more then past 30 years. My first Mel movie that I watched in cinema was We were soldiers and Signs. Year 2002 was crazy year that I actually watched his movie in cinema because I was too young to watch his movies back then. Signs gave me chills, it gave me hope it saved my life saved my soul. I even watched the movie twice in the cinema because the movie was too good and I was just in early teenage year and I went alone to cinema! After that year, it was difficult to watch him in cinema anymore because he was more focusing on directing and.. personal stuff. I really hoped to see him in cinema and if not, in real. Always wanted to meet him, take picture of him, with him, get his autograph signed, talk to him, interact with him, communicate with him, see him giving speech or anything. And during fanx, I did everything! I met him, took photo of him, took photo with him! Get autograph signed, had a small short conversation with him, saw him talking and giving speech for panel and I even got rejected by him that he refused to wear tin foil hat where all the family in Sings wore it except him. I was hoping Mel to wear tin foil hat that I make because in the movie, he said everything should do together as family but he refused to wear the tin foil hat because he didn’t believe in any of those. And in real life, he kindly and politely refuse the hat that I make and that was the moment where the scene in the movie was totally completed 😂 It would be good if he wear the hat but it was good that he refused the hat. Anyway back to the point, fanx was crazy and insane experience because I don’t live in US or any near region. He hardly come to my area or any region around and that was the reason that I had to fly over to see him. His movie saved my life, saved my soul and saved my emotions. Mel’s movie gave me hope, gave me courage, gave me faith and gave me reason to continue. I really thank Fanx and the team to bring him for the event. At first when I saw the line up I thought it was a joke or prank but it was not. Dear fanx, please invite him again. He said he choose fanx as his first “comic con” kind of event because it was near and I could walk to Utah from LA 😂 so yap why not again? 😂 please invite him again next year please please. I will definitely go there again
A great career derailed because of public stupidity and personal addiction problems. This man is one of the greatest stars of all times. I hope he is able to make a proper comeback. As an actor director Oscar winner.
He said some very offensive things about Jewish people and African Americans. He has a zealous religious streak that tends to obscure his genuine acting talent.
Mel is a great actor, but he's an even better director. That man is truly gifted behind the camera. I really hope he directs a few more movies before he hangs it up and retires from cinema.
Jail House Rock is 52 Blocks. I was a kid watching Lethal Weapon and I was triangle choking everyone after that. That movie got me doing Brazilian Jiujitsu.
It would be cool if Mel plays the creator of the Buzz Lightyear toy or that he plays the actual voice actor of the Buzz Lightyear toy. The unnamed voice actor picking up and talking to the Buzz Lightyear toy. Mel Gibson talking to Tim Allen in a way, so it becomes very meta.
@@DanielThureskog Or toystory buzz meets star command buzz(Mel Gibson). But i guess that would mean Star command Buzz would be talking to a toy! Haha! I didn’t think about that!
Accents are so effortless for him. He is the only non American actor I can think of who can do an American accent in interviews and doesn't slip into his native accent at any point. Back in the Lethal Weapon days, he would do this but would slip a little into the Oz accent. He is someone who would travel to Russia, Mexico, Vietnam, etc, and just sponge up the local accent without even thinking about it. It is very endearing.
Mel gibson to me, is one of those hollywood greats, action star greats who can really act while doing action.. He along with the likes of Harrison Ford, Bruce willis, even Tom cruise, who can really bring acting to their action star persona! Watta goats!!

Mel is a gem, a truly honest person and Hollywood doesn't like that.
They didn't like how he reacted to his ex wife, but they forgot to realize she is Russian. Russians are geared to mess your life over.
