  • My over the board classical chess league has kicked off this season and I played a future indian chess grandmaster, indian chess prodigy in today's classical game analysis. I always like to come out swinging against higher rated players so I played a gambit style sicilian defense which he declined (as I knew he would from previous games against him) and went into a very aggressive line to try to catch him off guard which worked incredibly well. This kid is 100% going to be a grandmaster in the future and maintain the newfound tradition of indian chess prodigies so I can't wait to see his future successes but maybe we can make today a bump in the road for him...

It seems like you played a grandmaster class game. The pressure continued through the end.

Thank you man, I think it helped a lot that I knew how my opponent played and I was waiting for him to lash out
