This video has been EXTREMELY helpful. Thank you so much for your great 987 Boxster videos!
Thanks for watching mate:)
Superb video. I’ve learned now how to do it 🙏👍
Great video. I have just purchased a 987 so this will be a massive help. Mine also has a small coolant leak and I suspect the coolant housing so at least I now know how to access it and have a look.
Nice purchase Richard. Good luck with the diognsis hope its an easy fix :)
Thanks for the warning. No Boxster in my future. This makes getting at a 914 motor an absolute breeze
Really helpful video, think I may have a failed coolant housing also, what were your symptoms, I’m getting white smoke coming from that side of the car, coming out side intake and over wheel arch. Think I can see drops of water under the car
Engine cover question I think it is a light weight cover option vs stock
Nice and this is really helpful as I just got a 2005 as well. However, I just can't get that bose connection loose..not sure why but just "stuck" Also I have the welded spot just like yours on the engine cover
Thank you for the excellent job in showing how and what!
What was the problem of the cooling housing. Mine makes a supercharger noise and I suspect the water pump
Thanks for waching Peter. Mine just had a cracked housing so coolant was flowing out. simple enough to replace. Im not sure what yours could be
Mine has the zero on the heat shield as well! (2005 Boxster S)
Also, my 2005 Boxster S has the same welded panel in the engine cover as yours. I suspect it's probably factory.
The square piece you refer to as a welded piece of metal appears to be sound deadening material. SImilar to Dynamat. It makes sense to put that there right under the Bose speaker module.
Im having incredible difficulty with the bose subwoofer box. The wiring is attached to the actual box, trying to pinch the sides doesnt release it.
It can be a bit difficult to get access. Maybe use a flat head screwdriver to pinch in the clips.
@@will_behind_the_wheel a day too late but it turned out both sides of the clip were broken off already, so all i had to do was pry it out. Incredibly difficult to pull out, kinda suprising.
Thanks for that
Thanks mate. Hope it helped
Useful content - thanks - I notice your hood inner elastic is (like mine) overstretched (a bit like the outer ones but not seemingly often changed?) - Its behind your head and I think pulls the inner liner of the hood taught. I'm going to do mine at some point - could be a good video for you ?.
