@@Psych2go Oh! It'll get real popular very soon! Hope so, becoz I kinda need those vids, I'm myself in a psychological situation and my family won't ever let me have the therapy sessions so I can't tell them...
^ Well with their psychopathic trait and machiavellianism they could probably use these to their advantage,, y'know, hide their flaws and narcissism under a mask of constructed lies and might get more friends than others. Though we'd never know,, people are different from people, honestly, so it's up to the individual to decide what they do (°v°٥)
I had 3 romantic relationships in my whole life and all were a fucking curse. 1st one was sociopathic, 2nd psychopath and 3rd one narcissistic. I dunno if I'm dumb or strong. So this make my life an anime? Lmao
MEANWHILE... I'll offer you a reading source. I don't know one way or another (up front) so you might find a condensed version... "The Prince" by Machiavelli... It's actually more of a "job application" for a diplomatic role in the day than anything... But you'd be well advised to pour into the text and see (sort of) why I have to question terms like "Machiavellianism" as it's used so prolifically today. ;o)
In a nutshell, machiavellianism goes by a slogan of "the end justifies the means". So you take a good end result or outcome and become ruthless and lose sense of morality on how you achieve this end goal. The bad things done to get that end result dont matter; the end justifies the means
In the Prince, this "the end justifies the means" mentality can be sensed but it isn't as present as we might think. For example, he advises against using auxiliaries or mercenaries to conquer territories because, even though it's useful, those means can create a number of problems and hinder your glory in the long run (according to him). But yes, the book overall holds very pragmatic and cynical views. Having said that, the notion of Machiavellianism is pretty far from what Niccolò Machiavelli was.
All I could really think of when I hear "Dark Triad" are the three heads of the "Dark Triad" in Black Clover manga: Veronica, Dante, and Zenon. Their personalities also matches up with the Dark Triad personalities! Veronica has psychopath tendencies, Dante has the machiavellianism, and Zenon is pretty narcissistic.
@Alex Martinez dante is easily narcissistic, vanica i thought was the psychopath, but seeing how she could use her charms on the dark disciples as manipulation, she could very well be machiavellianism lol.

4:28 brings up an interesting point. Although I have clinical depression, I sometimes still worry I might be a sociopath. I have all the symptoms except, weirdly, lack of empathy (which is pretty much the central trait of sociopathy). *EDIT:* it’s been a year since I posted this, and looking back, most of my “sociopathic” symptoms were just regular old emotionally/psychologically-abused-person behaviors. I’ve also been trying to unlearn my biases about folks with AsPD (often called psychopaths or sociopaths), since a lot of media (including this video) demonizes them. The worries I expressed in my original comment were mostly because my mom called me “a psychopath and a sociopath” when I didn’t let her provoke me by screaming at me. I have a lot to work through in terms of both personal issues and general biases, but I didn’t realize how far I’d already come until now.
your not,to be a sociopath you need too survive trauma this will alaws you to get anger, rage or even hatred this will be the first step to activate your self defense mechanism, you might be lossing lots of emotions like me for example i actually only have one wich is rage, but really hardly ever i have diagnosed big lacks of empathy egoism or machiavelism doctor says that if im not gona change i might beacame a sociopath in future you also might find enjoyment in others suffering such as me,you also will be feeling emptiness its actually a side efect of this mechanism.
A sociopath (and psychopaths) do not worry about even being one. Rest assured, the chances of you being a sociopath is little to none. So remember, if you are having worries you are a sociopath, you most likely aren’t
I am no therapist, and definitely could not diagnose anyone. But a lot of this is familiar to me from two biggest (and honestly) most important people who were in my life. My mother was a master manipulator, she was the best in her head, if anybody was better it was unbelievable or she’d have to upstage them. Would never listen to anyone’s opinions, yet watching her around other relatives she had mad acting skills. She could fake her way through anything. It was actually kind of scary growing up, watching how easily she gained others trust, them turn around and use everything against them just to gain whatever leverage in what she wanted. In the end, most of the family won’t even talk to her, she lied, cheated, and betrayed so many people. Even her declaration of love for her own children sounds so rehearsed and fake, we don’t speak anymore but I feel sorry for my siblings in a way. Secondly, my ex wife of twenty years. I stood by, and watched. Every lie she told to another. How quickly she faked and turned on her charm. She was very smart to, she knew just the right things to say for whatever your interest was. I thought nothing of it, that she was just playing up socially. What started bothering me, only time she showed any care or concern for our children, was if it made her look bad publicly. If I addressed anything otherwise, I was being a nag. If I engaged the children otherwise, she’d get upset because they didn’t need me bothering them while I was “ignoring” her and her needs. Turned out in the end, she had a complete second life, or second self. Filled with lies and affairs. Oddly I wanted to reconcile, but she told me I was selfish and controlling. Because people aren’t hurt by affairs. Between the two, and some of these traits here, I see a lot in common. Yet more importantly, I should really look into myself. I just needed to vent. Still want to say great job as usual on the video. Thank you.
Sorry you had to go through that. It’s rough seeing people who they really are inside sometimes . Especially if it’s a family member ( spouse , parent etc ) . No empathy and enjoy when they make others suffer.
Abubakar Mohamed Fröknegårdskolan 8E People with these traits are generally really toxic to those around them. Unless you’re into that kinda thing, it’s generally a good idea to avoid said people.
To be honest, narcissism is a spectrum. Everyone ranges somewhere in between being a full on narcissist and not with each of those being on either side of the spectrum. Everyone has a degree of confidence, superiority/ego etc and sometimes, we can get caught in it but if you're aware of these things, release it isn't very good to have and boast of these things without cause, then you're okay
It's the 'I'm number 1' aspect of these that throws me the most. I don't consider myself some hyper empath or anything, but I can only imagine how lonely or cold my life would be if I ALWAYS did what was best for me and me alone. Getting ahead at someone else's expense has always made me feel really guilty. It weighs on me until I own up.
Thank you for the video. Very educational and easy to follow. I think is essential to be aware of these traits to avoid suffering and be of service to others
I do have machiavellism, but i wouldn't call myself a bad person. I sometimes manipulate people into doing something benificial for me, but it also helps them or at least they do not have disadvantages out of it. Manipulating others without them knowing seems (at least in my case) insensitive instead of dark. I think people with this trait are a leader without others realising, but it depends on them whether they are a good or an evil leader.
I love seeing that psych2go is replying to comments, the other day I saw they was also making another verison of this in another language. I just love this channel in general as well, it helps a ton with some of my bad mental health traits.
@Calix Destruction Wild guess is that the implication is that being normal = desierable / should be what people strive for man. Ironically that mindset of opposite atleast on the onset can be viewed as just as rigid as the idea that being normal is good.
Without everything the way it is, we wouldn't know the difference between happiness and sadness. It's the way life works. I believe there is a balance of good and bad in the Universe, in whatever way it is incarnated. In thid case, manipulative, evil humans. So you can't truly be happy as some form of sadness will balance you to a neutral state, unless you channel suffering into delayed gratification. That is the best way to find "happiness".
@Calix Destruction Your statement is pretty good. But just because they aren't the problem doesen't mean that they can be a huge one. If you think hard some of the worst most inhumane humans (dictators, for example) can be grouped into these categories. However that persists through not inherently understanding them and the topic or as you stated IGNORANCE! So I agree with your baseline statements but not your structure. Overall if people were actually scared they would be smart enough to learn about them enough to avoid them and understand the difference between Hollywood and Reality.
If you try to 'cure' people with the dark triad, you'll only sink into a world of shit, believe me. If you try to brainwash highly disagreeable people, you'll only end up being manipulated yourself.
Real people struggle with these conditions - I very much appreciate being informed by this video, lots of good information, but depicting them with dramatic and comical caricatures is potentially harmful and misrepresenting. I really believe that understanding others is the best path towards caring and acceptance, but demonizing anyone for something that is outside of their control is cruel. Knowledge is power and it gives us the power to not only respect but also help people we may not share common experiences with. Sorry for the long comment. TLDR - No more knives, shadows, evil faces. Treat every kind of person with decency, no matter their condition.
I see a lot of people saying the dark triad sounds like an anime villain group but are we all frogeting the shadow triad in Pokémon black +2/white +2 ?
The guy i am sadly with is exactly this,he's convinced that i an introvert who is very simple to get along with, and have a ton of hobbies, good job, can't hurt someone without beating myself for months afterwards. Is a bad person,he projects some crazy shit on me and i am always blown away by his attacks on my person.
This video is sooo interesting. As someone who is about to start psychology studies, I could approach so many things with that. Didn't know really the difference between sociopaths and psychopaths, didn't have a clear definition for narcissism, didn't know what a subclinical desease, disorder or whatever was, etc... So, ehm, well, well done
I've been thinking about how I've got some narcissistic traits, but it's hard to find a psychologist that's willing to study more appropriately about it :/
That is called "your personality". Everything that isn't all roses is not necessarily a psychopathology and you will be hard pressed to get a person who helps people for a living to "study" you. In fact, with a modicum of research (google) I found out that "Paulhus and Williams (the originators of the dark triad theory) showed that each of these traits are clearly on a continuum-we are all at least a little bit narcissistic, Machiavellian and psychopathic." So basically, congrats, you're "normal"?
Watching this video I found out that one 'friend' of mine could be in The Dark Triad. She copies my homework and answers and makes me help her cheat in examinations. She also has 'princess temper' where basically she's an entitled brat. She'd bully me and my friend by taking our hair ties and disturbing us in class and forcing us to do things. She even caused me to cut ties with my friend because my friend wanted to stay with her when I decided to leave because I couldn't take it anymore. But the biggest indicator to me is that she used to bite people, and those marks stay for at least a week. She came crawling back to me after we had our falling out a few years back, but I don't cater to her needs anymore. I don't even talk to her anymore. She may have changed, well, maybe, but she still only comes to me for homework and examination answers. But I try to ignore her messages. I have better friends now. At least most of them are better friends.
@@rosalina5755 When she did this she was in secondary school, she was 14. Sure, not that far off from 12, but still, she shouldn't be considered a child at that age.
Love how the psychopathy and sociopathy are portrayed as deranged slasher killers in a video based off a thrown out study based on an uninformed comprehension of destructive personality traits/personality disorders. Good job peddaling this ignorance! :)
Valid point. Those are very Hollywood depictions of psychopaths and sociopaths, when in reality they come off more normal and customary than you’d think.
Probably to make it more relatable to the masses. To basically say "this is what the stereotypical movie tropes are based on" and to also distinguish the 3 personalities. If they all looked the same the viewers would probably get mixed up
Hi Do you have a question? Are you battling depression? Are you in a toxic relationship? Don’t worry about it, I and other people who come to the comment can give advice
Yo psych2Go I want your opinion on dis so when I get older I wanna be a film maker and My latest idea is a sitcom about two guys in collage ones a empath and the others a dark traid but there both best friends due to other similarities they both have that don’t have anything to do with there personality
Just the fact this channel is not going to upload one day. I LOVE GETTING KNOWLEDGE FROM THIS CHANNEL AND BECOME MORE SELF-AWARE, I don't want this channel to stop :((
We should spend more time and money trying to figure out how to help these people and less time studying and defining their behavior. The first thing you learn in the real world when suspecting someone of a personality disorder is that they have some, but not all, traits of several different disorders, making the researcher very confused. It doesn't really matter when there is very little hope for treatment. Isolating them and picking up the pieces if you were in their life is not a good solution.
@@MehmetAli-jd3jz honestly only animation is great there If I'd have to explain: It's basically putting all of the popular tropes together and not even tries to hide it, for a person who watched more than 50 animes it's obvious, that's why I reccomend it to beginners (if they must watch it). Some fights are cool tho. And well lastly and most importantantly I didn't get the "that's great" feeling watching it so yeah, that's it
@@RandomVex That's only partly true. Before making Black Clover, Tabata had a Manga named Hungry Joker which was not accepted in the Anime Studio or something like that because it was 'too different' from usual animes. That's why he made Black Clover full of cliches in the beginning. Later on, especially when it becomes a show about devils, you can clearly see the author really dealt with devil literauture a lot. And because Black Clover still has a long way to go, it has the potential of becoming one of the best animes...

Overall if people were actually scared they would be smart enough to learn about them enough to avoid them and understand the difference between Hollywood and Reality.
some guys here are #victimblaming.... This must be a symptom of DARK TRIAD
Treat every kind of person with decency, no matter their condition.
i see you got Naphia to animate this...i like their style a lot :)
I immediately thought of black clover-
Aw I saw a comment saying “I miss the leaves on their heads” and look you listened
I would like to know more about Dark Triad and the associated personalities. Kindly include how depression is related to Dark Triad.
It’s inversely correlated with narcissism and especially with psychopathy. Machiavellians can and probably often feel negative emotions.
The new animator is Ate naphia! Yay
I see a lot of people saying the dark triad sounds like an anime villain group but are we all frogeting the shadow triad in Pokémon black +2/white +2 ?
Umb and Samuel Moonliight plays more like: Lysandre= Narcissism, Cyrus= Psychopathy/Sociopathy?, Ghetsis= Machiavellism
@@chocohashi2076 where giovanni go? he literally made a psychopath (mewtwo)
I find all these traits desirable, it is always beneficial to think of how something could affect you before you think of how it could affect others.
The scary part is when a person is oblivious of their dark side.
@@Mordz34 do you want to talk about it?
Scarier when people don't see it.
I've been thinking about how I've got some narcissistic traits, but it's hard to find a psychologist that's willing to study more appropriately about it :/
Narcissism is caused by childhood insecurities, it's a coping mechanism.
Daamm I like the new art style!
Naphia the new animator is good at drawing!
*I clicked so hard my hand cracked my phone screen*
What are your thoughts after watching this video? :)

The music in the background sounds so sad, yet relaxed... Fits the video well...
It's been almost 3 months, and I still can't find it...
I've watched your other videos about these disorders. Those videos and this video are very interesting even if I can not relate.
Love the animation!! 💕💕

The biting threw me off ... I think your ex friend is a vampire 👀
Lets be honest , you guys are probably 12 yo or younger , any kid would act like that .
@@rosalina5755 When she did this she was in secondary school, she was 14. Sure, not that far off from 12, but still, she shouldn't be considered a child at that age.

Oh, Kay-
This video really scared me as I see a resemblance of all three types in myself
*Intriguing! Never even heard of this before now.* 🤔
Sincerity alongside resolve. Impressive and insightful.
Love how the psychopathy and sociopathy are portrayed as deranged slasher killers in a video based off a thrown out study based on an uninformed comprehension of destructive personality traits/personality disorders.
Good job peddaling this ignorance! :)
A little passive-aggressive are we?
spotted the psychopath
Valid point. Those are very Hollywood depictions of psychopaths and sociopaths, when in reality they come off more normal and customary than you’d think.
Probably to make it more relatable to the masses. To basically say "this is what the stereotypical movie tropes are based on" and to also distinguish the 3 personalities. If they all looked the same the viewers would probably get mixed up
Bro is punching the air over a youtube video 😂

YO NAPHIA DID THIS?? WOOOOP
@@litty4553 Thanks. Appreciate any and all validation. 😆

POV: You're looking for black clover fans in the comments
whats that?
@@kristoffseisler2163 a very mediocre anime
If you're a beginner I reccomend it
Quite long tho (170 ep)
What the hell do you mean by mediocre? It's greatness. Only the animation is mediocre
@@MehmetAli-jd3jz honestly only animation is great there
If I'd have to explain:
It's basically putting all of the popular tropes together and not even tries to hide it, for a person who watched more than 50 animes it's obvious, that's why I reccomend it to beginners (if they must watch it).
And because Black Clover still has a long way to go, it has the potential of becoming one of the best animes...
after watching all your videos ive finally found it, this video straight up explains me.
