this engine or this head has a C mark that means that head wont crac like A(99% cracking) or B(50%). perhaps head gasket at 2 cylinder leaking a bit of water. try looking on first start of the day does it have a litle bit of white smoke, that is 100% water (but it cant be to cold outside when testing/looking)
Thank you for your response. I have ordered a test kit where I can test whether exhaust gets into the coolant. If it is positive, I will try a top parking sealing product. The task of changing the top parking is just extensive enough for such an old car.
@@MichaelKroese i know the one with the blue fluid. Did u buy the screw one or with the pump? I know your trobles youst bought altea xl 2.0 tdi with dsg...
@@ivanperac5843 I bought the one with the blue fuied. It is the Carmotion tester. The best for the price I think :-) Is your car ok or is it the same problem?
My lets say every 10 dajs starts to raise temperature above 90. Every thing is new water pump, termostat, checked with tester no co2 in coling. Last thing to replace vas temp probe. Now i m waiting to see if its start to overheat again... And have stupid problem with heating in cabin it takes a loooooong time to start heating...
Yes, I'm afraid it's due to water, as a little water has actually dripped from that cylinder while it's been standing a longer period without turbo. There are no other signs, that it is the head gasket, but I can't see where else the water is coming from.
@@MichaelKroese Well, it's not exactly certain that the problem only occurs on cylinder 2, or did you catch it as it happened on #2. If you have a water cooled turbo (I don't know shit bout VAG's, more of a Fiat/Renault guy, just going by stuff that MIGHT be at fault) it might be spewing some coolant into the intake as the engine is cold, everything is at it's lowest size, and when it goes to operating temperature the leak magically goes away. To check that i'd get some hose, attach to both ports on turbo, fill them all the way with coolant/water, plug one end, blow about 1.5 bar of compressed air into the other, check for apparent fountains. If none, next thing would be EGR stuff, as it is sometimes watercooled too. Check for things that connect to the intake in a way that makes it easy to directly spew water into #2 and difficult for other cylinders. Do you have any trouble codes? Even minor?
