That episode with Seven suffering from paranoia had the most insane chemistry. Heck, most of their scenes do. They both had such magnetic personalities and an unbreakable bond. I miss them
which is ironic considering it has been said Kate Mulgrew and Jeri Ryan didn't get along because Mulgrew was against sexualizing Star Trek , but their relationship is maybe the most memorable and impactful from the series. 7 of 9 and her story are still meaningful to me in 2023
Admiral Janeway's revelation to her Captain counterpart about Seven of Nine's death is an incredibly moving scene! Thank you for including that scene in this compilation!! 💙
Think that was the spit in the eye at the time…but it rly was a diff time. Literally her and the Dr would have been better. FML I was sooo pro Janeway Chakotay ship in the beginning. But all that seemed wrong after Seven ❤😂. Like Xena it clearly was not ok to be “filmed”. But all these moments seem more impactful or special then if they just smooched?
To be fair tho, Chakotay didn't have chemistry with anyone, was a Maqui that should never have been First Officer, and goddamn was the Native ep stupid and boring....
To think that they have such a great.. even inspiring chemistry while during that time they apparently didn’t get along.. I am glad they reconciliated.. and sad we didn’t get to see them together in Picard.
Seven was right, Janeway wouldn't accept her death, and wound up traveling back in time to save her. The captain wouldn't accept the mission until she was told Seven would die if she didn't. And this is why I ship J/7
I don't see them that way. For me their relationship was more akin to a Mother Daughter relationship. In how they could talk about everything in some situations and how they could fiercly clash the next. She was Sevens rolemodel of a mature Woman. And the Doctor took over the Surrogate Father role. There was some one sided interest there for a moment yes, but that faded rather quickly. But, you do you.
@@Thatslifebro_ a mentor-like relationship definitely isn't mutually exclusive from romance and attraction between adults haha. of course that's not how it is in the show, but just saying :p
There are times when I watch Voyager I’d get teary eyes with just the interaction between Seven and Janeway. Then there are times I’d just wish Janeway would give Seven a hug, but protocol of Captain and crew relationship prevents that. Still there are times, Seven would do well with just a hug regardless.
10:20, As much as I shipped these two during the run of Voyager, I also see these two in.a mother - daughter relationship. I now see Seven as an adopted daughter of Janeway. Heck to be quite honest the whole crew were Janeway's kids. But I think Janeway realized Seven was that one kid who needed extra attention.
Janeway loved Seven like the daughter she never had. I really wanted them to have a reunion moment in Picard. I'm hoping that the idea of Legacy is picked up and that we do get that moment. Same with Seven and the Doctor.
Bullshit. I dare you to educate yourself about what feminist actually means. Of course that would require that you actually use your brain to do critical thinking, something you have not yet demonstrated an ability to do.
@@melodiefrances3898 I'll be honest with you: "Modern Feminism" is a bunch of nonsense which actually has nothing to do with real feminism from the 70s anymore which really targeted equality. All what those so called "opressed women" do is whine "how bad they have it" and "how the evil patriarchy keeps them down" while as westerners they have all the liberty and freedom they actually demand. They can go to school, make a career, wear what they like, look how they want, love who they want to love etc. etc. For years I witnessed those so called "feminists" and guess what? Those are just some sore losers who somehow messed up their lives with poor judgement and now blame men and society for their misfortune. "Modern Feminism" is nothing more but a huge witch hunt towards men to blame them for every little shit, at the same time going for this marxist bullshit ideology that women are "victims" and "citizens second class" just to have a justification to fight for "rights" which they actually had from the beginning but left them behind to look like victims. In other words, feminists fight actually to get back to square 1. Moreover, it is always funny to see how "modern feminism" targets only the benefits without accepting the responsibilities that come with different "rights". Only good jobs, good positions and all the good that men have but never the same crap they have to go through. When the whole ukrainian war started my country was thinking about bringing back compulsory military service for everyone just in case and guess what? Suddenly all feminists over here went silent and the world started to look "perfect" for them again. A few became quite cheeky and said "yeah, this is a job for men". So much for "equality" and "feminism". Always seeking "rights" without responsibilities and positive advantages. Pathetic. Oh, by the way: I am a woman myself so don't try to pin sexism on me or that I am "uneducated". I know my rights as well my responsibilities and your "feminism" is just a delusion and a sorry excuse to do what you want without any disadvantages and on the expense of men. Men are in no power positions by default, they WORKED for it. If you want to have women in power positions than EARN it too and prove that you are skilled enough for it! It sickens me that those "feminists" demand equality but opress men at the same time and that is horrible because they don't have a community as backup or are taken seriously by media. They have feelings too, you know? Whenever seeing my loving boyfriend I get so angry that some frustrated bitch out there tries to wreck him because he is a male. I would happily bear our children some day in the future if we are lucky enough. If someone has to "educate" it is you. Even using this kind of "buzz sentence" shows me where you are coming from. The soundtrack is very far from being perfect.
Geez the Admiral went a long way to save Seven.
Knowing it would be a one way trip for her
I read that Kate Mulgrew didn't like the addition of Jeri Ryan to the cast and gave her a hard time, which contributed to the tension in their scenes.
