Our worship team just played I Believe this morning. This video is what I used to learn the guitar parts. Thank you!
Nice! Glad this video helped! 🙌🏻
Been following a while but haven't commented before. Your skill and tone are an inspiration to me, you have such a consistent clean sound. Love that your board is not the size of a house and just shows what can be achieved when you apply skill and effects use effectively. Keep up the good work Sam.
Thanks for the kind words my friend! 🙌🏻
Great job@
No song needs 9 electric guitars. Great work!
lol right?? 😂 thanks!
Great as always 😊
Thanks Joel!
Go Sam, GO!!!! 🔥
Let's go!! 💪🏼
Really cool version!!! Very happy you shared!
Thanks! 🙌🏻
Master Piece 🔥
🙌🏻🙌🏻
Wow! Awesome bro.
Thanks man! 💪🏼
Thanks, sounds great!
Thanks Doug!
Tone was on point as always! Loved the use of the chorus pedal!
Thanks man! Lots of fun effects in this one 🤓
Thank you for this video. Our church just started playing this song this week and your video made it very easy for me to learn all the EG parts. Keep up the good work, brother!
Good! So glad this was helpful for you! 🙌🏻
Good stuff sam! Posting this for the first time on Sunday
Thanks dude!! 🙌🏻
Great job bro!!
Thanks man! 🙌🏻
Really nice job!
Thanks! 🙏
Sam you deserve many more subscribers and love from the UA-cam algorithm!!!
Haha thanks man ❤

New subscriber here. Beautiful my guy
Thanks Stuart! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Can you make tutorial for this song pls
You should do a breakdown!
Yeah I've been considering that! Thanks for the suggestion!
Really good timing and and clean on everything! Your ability to do that and switch effects is an unseen skill that's overlooked unless you try to do it yourself :P. You're going places! I'm glad to find you early! Sweet channel.
Haha thanks man! Songs like this one can definitely get a little tricky with all the tap dancing 😅 I appreciate it!
I believe Sam Wittek is a great guitar player

When you hold down the el capitan for the self-oscillating sound, is that just puttting the feedback really high or what does that do?
You know, I don't think I actually know exactly what is happening with the self-oscillation haha. To my understanding it's continuing to stack repeats on top of itself over and over again, which is what causes it to ramp into that really gnarly territory
You have such a great sound and play pretty much everything how I would hope to play it. I was wondering if you have any 60 cycle hum issues with the tele and how you deal with it? I play a strat and am building a telecaster right now. Thank you and blessings to you
Thanks man! 🙌🏻 ever since I upgraded to the Porter Pickups I haven’t had too many issues with 60 cycle hum. However I have played at a few venues with bad power and the hum was pretty bad. Things that helped were:
1. Removing my compressor
2. Using the middle position more frequently (that pretty much eliminates the hum)
3. Using something like a DISO+ that has a ground lift
4. Avoiding daisy chaining (if possible) and making sure I’m using a clean isolated power supply
Hope that helps!
Thanks Sam
Can you give me more insights abobut yout tone architecture, pls? You're using two Iridiums, right? So both are mono and different Amps/Mics in the setting?
Thx! Awesome videos and sound!
Definitely! And yes that's correct! I actually go really in-depth into how I have them dialed in another video I just made, it's the most recent video called "are two amp modelers better than one?" I'd check that out for more of the details in getting them set up.
Bro! I intentionally didn't watch your video until after mine was done. Just wanted the challenge. But I must say...I wish I had!! LOVE your Chorus 2-4 voicings (and that Juliana is choice)! And several little rad things I missed. Your tone is spot on too. Great, great job! Question--What drive are you using for V3-4?
Thanks so much dude! 🙌🏻 I'm using the Lamb! I'm swapping between 2 presets with the Lamb during this song, a stage 1 and a stage 2 drive, and for that V3-V4 section I have it switched over to the stage 2 preset
@@SamWittek Right on bro! May need to check that one out...
@@thetoneshepherd Highly recommend! 🔥
sounds awesome! I have a question. what happened to ruby red?
Thanks! Ruby Red is on the bench for now 😬
Great cover! What is the effect at 2:42?? I’m playing this Sunday and would love to try to get that sound! Thanks!
Thanks man! So I'm holding down the tap on the El Cap to have it start self-oscillating. Might look a little different depending on what delay you use, but that's what that effect is!
@@SamWittek thanks for the fast reply! Sweet I didn’t know that was something you could do with delay after 18 years of playing 🤦 learn something new all the time I guess!
What key is this in? Also is there tabs for this?
Hey there! This is in the original key of D, and I don't have tabs for this. Happy to help with any questions you might have though!
Dang!!!
😁
I can’t stop watching this. Very anointed on the guitar. God has put a gift on you!
Praise the Lord. Never stop glorifying Him with your music
@@fishboots7902 Thank you, Praise the Lord indeed!
Do you keep the Julia on during the whole song?
For most of it! I don't have it on for the instrumental turns or for the verses
Your tone sounds amazing. Can you explain your delay setup?
Thanks! 🙌🏻 Yep for this video I was just using the El Capistan set to a quick dotted 8th delay for that rhythmic delay sound
@@SamWittek Thanks! I a "quick dotted 8th" different from a standard dotted 8th?
@@SamWittek Also, if you wouldn't mind -- what's your right hand doing on the verses? Is it all downstrokes?
@@SirTupsAlot Nope no different! Just a standard dotted 8th. And yes all downstrokes during the verses!
@@SamWittek Thanks so much! I think I just need your rig :)
Hi Sam, may i know what type of amp&cab sim you are using here? Thank you for this video 🎸🎶
For sure! I’m using 2 Strymon iridiums. One of them is set up on chime with the Tonefactor AC30 (greenback) IR, and the other is on round with the Tonefactor Prosonic IR
@@SamWittek Thank you Sam! your covers helps a lot to shorten our practice time 😁. Looking forward for more covers of yours. 🎸🎶
So glad they're helpful!@@kevinreyes970
do u have tabs for lead?
Hey there! No tabs unfortunately, hope the video helps though!
Very good. Excellent teaching the parts. I would like to add that the video is out of sync with the audio.
Thanks Chris!
Lol. My mistake. I was listening through my Headrush Prime using the Bluetooth and everything was out of time. Using the aux input and now things are great. Thanks for putting up the video.
Haha no worries! @@chrisstout8451
Love the tones!
Are you running two iridiums?
Thanks man! Yess I'm borrowing a second one right now so this is kind of the first go with them. Planning on doing a more in-depth video soon comparing two iridiums to just one!
That would be a really helpful video! I’m interested in doing something like that and would love your insight.
@@davidoliver3589 For sure! It's in the works, probably will be out in the next week or two 😎 Just out of curiosity, what insights/questions would you find valuable in that video?
@@SamWittek hey. Thanks for the replies. One thing is….does it make enough of a difference in an actual service/live performance. Stereo sounds great in headphones, but does it make enough difference for the extra cost. You already have a full impressive sound, so it will be interesting to know your thoughts. Also, do two iridium’s work together well? Then I guess just general practical things that may pop up, like advice on settings etc….
@@davidoliver3589 Love it that's super helpful. Thanks man!
