Hi Sam I have problem with this son. The correct setting of Battle Belong Delay is BPM 162 in .8th with mix 11am to 12 pm (Low Mix) Remember Delay setting 162 BPM
Important Note: part of the song is in .8th with a low mix and ultra-low repeat so that the repetitions cannot be heard and other phrases are in .8th with the highest mix to hear the repetitions.
I need to learn this song bySunday morning! You have made it soooo much easier!!! Can’t thank you enough.
So glad to hear!! Hope it went well! 🙌🏻
Thanks for amazing video!! I’m trying to learn this and your video was very helpful! In Christ 💕 love.
Yessss. Love it man. Awesome job!
Thanks dude! 👊🏻
2 Years back and still love this song. Every part is a piece of heavenly art. Love it! Inspiring stuff. Bless you and Merry Christmas my brother! ✌ 🙏 🎉 🎄 🛎
Thanks man! Merry Christmas! 🎄
Dude you nailed it! Great job!
Thanks for teaching me that lick in the first part of V2
Thanks for the kind words Chris! Glad it was helpful! 🙌🏻
I was looking forward to another upload from you man. Sounds killer - love your use of the Julia on this. Sounds very M83. And you were right about the Bloom setting on the BigSky, I'm loving it!
Thanks man! I really appreciate it. Definitely love getting to throw the Julia in when needed, it's such a fun pedal! So glad to hear you're liking Bloom too. It makes it hard to use any of the other algorithms! Haha
Nice! Love that tone and the playing too. Looking forward to seeing more vids from your channel.
Thanks man, appreciate the kind words!
I found this a great help, thank you.
Thank you John! Glad to hear this was helpful!
This is definitely inspirational! I would love to play like this with the worship team! I can definitely rock out to God! ✝️
Thanks Angie! It's a great song!
Do it!
Nailed it!!💪😎
Thanks dude! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Sounds great!
Thanks Fernando!
Great job! Thanks for showing me the way on this one!
Thank you! Glad it helped! 💪🏼
So clean! Great tone! Keep it up and God bless!
Thank man! God bless! 🙌🏻
Great job! 👏👏
Thanks!!
this is the exact sound I'm looking for!!!!
oh, I see the julia there!
btw... you NAILED it.
@@164Vault Thanks so much!! Glad this was helpful! 🙌🏻
Bro. Very inspiring playing. I hope more videos same like this to come with using pedalboard.
Thanks man! Yes more vids are on the way! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Get it. 👏🏼
I know most folks are asking musicianship questions but I have a spiritual question about letting go of anger.
Amazing Playthrough, god bless you Sir, love the verse on your desk💕
Thanks so much 🙌🏻
Daddy love you daddy
Wow dude, flawless. Nice use of the board
Thank you!! 🙌🏻
woooow!nice bro!
Thanks man! 🙌🏻
Very nice. Been looking for single EG video tutorial. You cover all the right bits necessary I recogn - I'll probably still simplify it a bit for myself just transitioning from acoustic. We're doing it in E. Cheers.
Thanks man! 🙌🏻
THanks a lot for the show and tell....great....and stil learning that db2 timing...lol, I a slow....helped a lot!
So glad to hear that this helped!
@@SamWittek ya, playing it in a concert.....and well, I need help....all is good now...just got to perfect the apreggio :)
Alright, now you gotta sing it too man! Aha In all seriousness, great job! This is a fun song to play for sure.
Hey Blake! Thanks man, haha I don't think anyone wants to hear that 😂
Good to see another upload! It's been a while!
Thanks Matthew! It sure has haha life got a little crazy and I needed to prioritize some other things. Pumped to be back!
@@SamWittek since the last time you put out a video, I’ve sold my Tele and Jazzmaster, and bought a Gretsch!
@@matthewxiong2970 Nice man!! That's awesome, I've been wanting to pick up a Gretsch as well, they're killer 🤘🏻
Very nice. Very rich, inspiring tone. I’ve been making online worship recordings all thru Covid for our church and your work gives me something higher to aim for!
Thanks Jeff! Really appreciate that. Best of luck with the worship recordings!
@@SamWittek your welcome! I play thru a Line 6 HD500X and I'm wondering if I can come up with a way to replicate your tone. I'm gonna work on it! Any suggestions?
@@24geneva Hmm it's hard to say! Not super familiar with the HD500X. I'd recommend dialing in a reverb with a pretty bright mix, and delay with a relatively long decay + a decent amount of modulation. For drives, I'm not sure what options are on the HD500X but personally I'd probably stay more in the low gain territory. Amp-wise I'm using the Vox setting on the Iridium, so if there's an option for that on the HD500X that could help. Hope that helps!
Great job! Tone sounds great :) Btw, for the breakdown - I've found it easier to play the C#sus4 on the G,B, and E strings (11,9,9 to 11,9,11) live.
Thank you! And thanks for the suggestion! I actually chose to play it on the D, G, B strings because it sits a little bitter with my tele, but playing on the G, B, E strings definitely makes it a little easier to play!

I need to practice the rhythm guitar to post this song
Skylia
Hey Sam, first thank you for sharing your great gift and second I am new on lead guitar and would like to know for what are you using the Julia for? Thank you again.
Thanks! On this song I’m using the Julia for that chorus/vibrato sound. It’s a little subtle but you can hear it during some parts of the first verse as well as in the choruses. Hope that helps!
That song is at 162 BPM but the tap tempo of the Delay is half 81 BPM. The song is in Sorfeo Binario. When that happens the Delay is halfway through the song. Let me know how it goes. I had problems with that song programming the delay. I see that you are not using it and I imagine the same thing is happening to you.
Trying to learn this on key of F, do i just move all keys by 4 frets
Hey Patrick, yeah that's probably what I would do! If some parts sound weird you could try to drop them an octave, but my guess is things would translate up to F pretty well
Bro are you using the round on the iridium? Which cab? Sounds amazing
Thanks man! I’m pretty sure for this one I’m on Chime using the David Hislop IRs, they’re killer!
aight man i love your videos. Mind sharing what effects are you using for the chorus? i know youre engaging the julia but cant tell if its chorus or vibrato. my ears arent that gifted lol
Thanks man! 🙌🏻 Yeah I'm engaging the Julia and I have it set right in between the vibrato and chorus setting, so it's kind of a blend of the two!
Love this tutorial! Especially 2:35!! What camera do you use? I see a gorilla pod in the background! ☺
Thanks man! Yess those bends are fun 😂At this point I was using a Panasonic camera, can't remember exactly what model. Since then I've moved over to a Canon G7x
@@SamWittek That's nice!!
Nice job! What’s your delay settings? Do they change for the verse one fast picking part? Thanks!
Thanks Erik! I'm running a brighter .8th delay on the El Cap and a darker 8th note delay on the ARP-87, and nope they stay the same through the whole song!
@@SamWittek Thanks so much for the delay settings! I am the only lead guitar at church and they want to do this on electric. I'm using a GT-1000 and have the tones very close but couldn't figure out the delays. Dual delay set now. Thanks and new subscriber here!
@@billb1048 Thanks for your support Bill! Glad this was helpful!
Dude. I want to learn this song so bad, but I can’t ever get the fingers right. especially when sliding down the frets. I might be able to manage everything else. Do you have a tutorial? You play this so well.
You got this man! I don't have a full tutorial, but I can definitely try to help. What part are you having trouble with? Is it the sliding part in the intro riff?
@@SamWittek well, I was able to get the sliding part down after 45 ish min. I was trying to put more fingers on the fretboard than needed. I was able to get some of the stuff, still working on it though. Me and some of my friends are trying to convince our youth pastor to create a youth band. This song I believe is gonna be our attempt.
Edit: 2 years later, and you’re still responding. Massive W. Thanks
@@VangaurdVids Nice! Love it, hope everything works out with that!
Sounds amazing bro!! 🎊🎉What model is this guutar?
Thanks John! This is a Mexican Fender Tele, I think the exact model is the "players edition" or something like that. I got it back in 2015 or 2016
@@SamWittek Wow, looks cool!! Thank you
Is your iridium last in your chain? If so do you keep the delay and reverbs from eating it alive?
Hey Jacob, yes it is! I try not to run too much gain on the iridium itself, and that definitely seems to help
@@SamWittek oh okay. When I use to use real amps I always ran them hot and would roll some volume off. Trying to get my ears to hear an amp the other way is so hard for me haha. But I am having the hardest time dialing in delay/reverb pre amp. Any tips? I use two delays, one for dotted 1/8 and the other just a straight 1/8, for reverb I have a light always on verb, then a rv-5 as kinda a stage 2 verb(one I can strum with, without it eating my entire signal up) and a third stage for either swells or just a long sustained part(without overdrive)
@@jacobrose9478 Oh yeah I do the same thing with real amps haha. The iridium definitely is a little bit of a different beast to dial in with pedals. Tbh my starting point is usually dialing the volume + gain both at noon and then making small adjustments from there. As far as delay/verb goes, have you previously been using them post-amp? If so, you might need to back off on the mix level of your delays/verbs since they're going to be much more in your face now. A little bit can really go a long way. Also, if you haven't tried this already, I would recommend dialing the iridium to be pretty clean and then getting all your dirt from your gain pedals. Hope that helps!
@@SamWittek yeah I think having run my wet effects post amp for so long just completely has thrown me off. Was just wanting to try something “new”(even though when I was young it was all my effects into the front of either a marshal half stack or an AC-30). For some reason I just can’t find that sweet spot. Haha. I appreciate the help man!
@@jacobrose9478 Haha yeah I totally get that. I've tried a few times to run my wet effects post-iridium and I get the feeling. Feels so unfamiliar. Best of luck finding that sweet spot! Always down to chat gear if you ever have any more questions 🤘🏻
What key is this ?
Db, the original key.
Sorry, this might be a little late.
