Ok, so Geoff's eye roll in the thumbnail is amazing, obviously. Eli, Adriana and Cesar are all giving off some major "don't mess with me" vibes. Layne seems pretty chill . . . but those are the eyes of a man who is planning to sneak into your kitchen in the middle of the night and cold-bloodedly abscond with every last carrot.
This song had freakin' POWER behind it. While not the main focus the percussion really drove it in even harder than just the voices ever could have. When the beatbox fades you get the breaks, even with the same vocal intensity, but as soon as it comes back oh boy you are in for a treat. I think it is my favourite part of this production, even if it fades into the background. (Which itself is a show of quality, not overwhelming but really pressing the song forward while giving room for it.)
The amount of time these folks spend in abandoned places they should revisit the zombie motif circa zombies vs. hillbillies. All the sassmotions! I am living for it. So much attitude. So much happy brain chemicals.
