@@natebaker3672 Encanto deserves the nightmare before Christmas treatment. We have seen what Voiceplay can do with an individual song they are passionate about
Sometimes " LESS IS MORE " They ruined a GREAT song by adding too much Fluff. I wish Voice Play would have preformed it. A Capella is still sooo underrated. This was AMAZING💜🤯👏👏🔥
Okay, but Geoff and Layne make me so happy in this one, because they're both just jamming in the front there at 1:34, and then Layne imitates Geoff's little spooky-fingers thing at 2:56, and JUST. THE SIBLING VIBES. I AM GRINNING.
I have been obsessing over this Voiceplay arrangement since I first heard it. I teach pre-k, Kindergarten and first grade music in a small, rural town. I decided to let the first graders listen to this performance (they are ALL obsessed with Encanto) and I explained that EVERY sound they hear is from someone’s voice/mouth. They were enchanted at first, but their mouths dropped and their eyes got bigger when Layne did the “sand”sound in his solo. The laughed out loud when Geoff sang Isabella’s solo. It was so much fun to share this with 6 & 7 year olds.
@@BluevesPL actually Corpse mentioned that a common misconception is that people think his voice comes from his sickness. It does attribute a little to his deep voice but he says it’s mostly genetics
I love how when the wind was supposed to move only Ashley's hair at min 1:55, Geoff's hair was moving too. It's a simple thing but I find it hilarious. And with the shapeshifting thing right after that, it is simply perfect.
I love being a patron and supporting art like this.. This is just SO great. Layne did a stellar job with the arrangement. It has the fun and catchy vibe of the original, and it does even better. With all the vocal layering on it, imitating the movie, but taking it just that bit further. Spectacular to listen to and pick apart all the different things that you can hear. Among which all the riffs and runs from Eli, Cesar and Ashley, using all of their range, both vocally and as the characters they are portraying. As well as Geoff & Layne holding down the rhythm section in a way that a UA-cam comment does not contain enough characters to be able to appreciate enough. Then to not even mention all the different effects and fills that are spread throughout. The video itself is done really well as per usual. Great backdrop, set dressing, lighting, and the editing is really well fitting to the vibe and rhythm of the track. I really enjoyed the disneybounding type costumes here, very simple yet so effective and clear. Remy the rat made a wonderful appearance, giving a nod to another Disney movie, just like Encanto does, very clever. Also.. I REALLY love that you guys used the goat scream. Then we have a moment where Geoff takes over a phrase from Ashley, which was a lovely surprise. Despite how incredible that moment was and will always be, Geoff truly shined as Camilo, with those inflections in his voice, we hear so rarely, if ever. May I ask for more of that, respectfully and kindly. As well as the latin influences in your music. Clearly this is yet another style of music, that seems effortless for VoicePlay. Bravo VoicePlay!👏
I love the interactions between Geoff & Layne, not just in this video but many others. There's a solo release by Geoff (name escapes me) that Layne "co-stars" (?) in that is priceless for their interactions!
You should become a patron so that you can see the behind-the-scenes. In order to get the flower petals at the right speed Geoff and Ashley had to perform it at double speed for the cameras. So the playback was going rapidfire and they’re just working like crazy to get to the lip-synch correct.
Everything about this is glorious. Cesar absolutely steals the show, Ashley brings the energy, Eli fantastic as always, Layne absolutely flexing, and Geoff busting out that slightly growly vocal style is just 😍 I know it's played for humor but one moment with Geoff (you know the one) gave me such happy gender emotions. He honestly looks glam as heck.
Geoff wearing the floral shirt and singing the second half of Isabella's part absolutely cracked me up!!! 😆 Also shout-out to poor Eli with the bald head part, bahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣
Okay, just gotta say. I LOVE the acting. Y'all always do so well and it's just something that always pulls me in as much as the music. The fact that Eli is fortunately (unfortunately? ) perfect for the line about the hair loss and the play on the fact Geoff is portraying the shapeshifting cousin when he 'steals' Isabela's lines (the LOOKS from Layne and Cesar!). It's SO good. Keep on keeping on friends! It's amazing!
I feel like this song showed off all of the different skills that Layne has. From his fantastic singing to the crazy effects he is able to make with his voice (whatever that was at the end was amazing.) Full standing ovation to Layne and everyone else on this one!
Check out Geoff’s eyes at 0:27 😂 I’ve watched this video so many times but focused on Ashley and Cesar there. I love that everyone keeps acting throughout the song, whether they carry the story or not 😁

I'm sorry, can we talk about Layne's “Layne thing” at 3:31? I wouldn’t quite call it beatboxing, but that there is the coolest "thing," for lack of a better word, I’ve ever heard Layne do. We have inhale singing on “we don’t” on a G1, then IMMEDIATELY up to normal singing for a G3 and G4 (I think) on “talk about” and then inhaling down to the D#2 and C2 on “Bruno, no.” Like WHAT??? That is a THREE OCTAVE JUMP, switching singing styles TWICE, in literally two seconds. Layne is not human. Layne is an instrument sent from outer space. There is NO OTHER EXPLANATION.
Been listening to these guys since discovering them a few days ago. First time I've heard this gal. Beautiful voice. As usual, I love the harmony and that deep voice ... Love it. 🥰🌴
That would be Layne Stein. And yes, he’s all kinds of awesome. Check out VoicePlay’s version of “Dream On”. It’s a few minutes until Layne comes it, but it’s an amazing entrance when he does. Nice to see a shout out for Layne, I think he’s very under appreciated. 😊

Well done guys!! Love the fantastic vocals and the humor you guys put into all of your music!! SHEEEESH LAYNE!! That Ending!!
This is phenomenal! So much to love: beats and sounds at "falling sand"; bass at "black"; the petals! - then the bass's costume change!; vocal riffs; variation on "all my hair would disappear"; amazing characterisation - especially the girl (as dead fish woman then Mirabelle) - all just brilliant - thank you!!!

1:30. WHAT! Such a small but impactul decision to have the notes for the high harmony match the notes of "we don't" at the beginning of Isabela's solo line! You all are insane!

I love the fact that you can follow the epic Dragonborn Comes with a song and video that make me laugh every time. Sometimes " LESS IS MORE " They ruined a GREAT song by adding too much Fluff. I wish Voice Play would have preformed it. A Capella is still sooo underrated. This was AMAZING💜🤯👏👏🔥
Absolutly
@@Justasykoseashell both of them are amazing
what do you mean
I jokingly thought that it'd be hilarious if Geoff did Isabela's part. I am laughing so much!!!! 🤣 🤣🤣
Fantastic job guys as always!!! 👌
been rewatching this I dunno how many times, but I just saw this now, the way Lane reacts to Geoff's outfit change KILLED ME
I think it's a crime that so little people are talking about how Geoff is serving as Isabella 😁
I tumbles out of my chair from lauging when that part came hahaha
Yes!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 and the hair flip, gosh!
Ikr!!! he even changed his clothes in that part 😂😂😂
HE ROCKS THE DRESS 👗
YESSSSSS PERIODDDD
I get chills every time Layne gets to break out of the beat box and give us a solo. So good!!!!!!!
FACTS!
Layne is EVERYTHING in this video. I am just....gobsmacked.
No kidding!
Only Voiceplay can get me hooked on a disney song. Another amazing job. I have listened to this atbleast 15 times today.
Okay, but Geoff and Layne make me so happy in this one, because they're both just jamming in the front there at 1:34, and then Layne imitates Geoff's little spooky-fingers thing at 2:56, and JUST. THE SIBLING VIBES. I AM GRINNING.
Same i love them I ship them too
Wait, are you saying Geoff and Layne are related?
@@Bluefroggy84no their saying they act like sublings
OMG I was thinking that. He was almost like, "That looks cool, let me do that too."
Show them the oogie boogie song and let them almost fall to the floor at Geoff hitting such a low note....
@@Silver_wind_1987_ That one might scare some of the kids though, LOL.
@@joshuaburba1048 lmao I watched Caroline as a kid AND 9....

GOOSIES at 1:18 🤯🤯🤯. Literally one of the best bass vocals out there 👏.
1.Corpse
2.Geoff💖
@@lanisahk Corpses voice comes from the sickness, Geoff's is natural
@@lanisahk LMAO CORPSE
Yeah his voice gets down into your spine i love it.
@@BluevesPL actually Corpse mentioned that a common misconception is that people think his voice comes from his sickness. It does attribute a little to his deep voice but he says it’s mostly genetics
TOTALLY AWESOME !!! This should've been on the Encato soundtrack
Lost it at 2:03 🙀 this deserves millions of views!! Agree? You guys… amazing!
Got 1.4mil already
2:03 gave me the laugh of the day 🤣🤣🤣
yep so good better then the plane other one
Same!
That got me! ♥ Loved it! ♥
I still can’t get over Layne beatboxing the title of the song at the 3:31. Genius.
Layne from 0:52 to 1:11. Enough said. YOU KILLED IT SIR!!!!!!!!!
and the ending was exceptional as well. I'm obsessed with it :)
Agreed
I love how when the wind was supposed to move only Ashley's hair at min 1:55, Geoff's hair was moving too. It's a simple thing but I find it hilarious.
And with the shapeshifting thing right after that, it is simply perfect.
It moves Layne's hair a little bit too. 🤣
His hair has a life of it's own
I love being a patron and supporting art like this..

1:15 Wow! Awesome dynamics here.
It's so rare Layne gets a solid lyrical segment, instead of staying in the background as beatboxer/comedian. So nice to hear his voice again!! 💖
Generally speaking, Layne prefers beatboxing to singing. 🤷🏻♀️
He has a voice?
@@katybechnikova2821 Oh girl... you been missing out! He has a beautiful voice, and plays violin, too.
Absolutely adorable. Hilarious. Talented. The look that Layne gave Geoff when he wore the blouse is priceless. Well done as expected. Thanks so much.
I love the interactions between Geoff & Layne, not just in this video but many others. There's a solo release by Geoff (name escapes me) that Layne "co-stars" (?) in that is priceless for their interactions!
I’m hysterical LOL
@@michaeldew1992 “Saddle Up”. I agree, it’s hilarious 😂!
lemme just say, Layne doing the fast part made me so freaking happy he is so talented and underrated
Cesar absolutely steals the show, Ashley brings the energy, Eli fantastic as always, Layne absolutely flexing, and Geoff busting out that slightly growly vocal style is just 😍
I know it's played for humor but one moment with Geoff (you know the one) gave me such happy gender emotions. He honestly looks glam as heck.
Geoff wearing the floral shirt and singing the second half of Isabella's part absolutely cracked me up!!! 😆
Also shout-out to poor Eli with the bald head part, bahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣
With everything that's been happening to the world lately, it's good to see something positive and good like this. Thank you Voiceplay!
Geoff's hair is fabulous!!! But seriously, this is a great cover and everyone was amazing ♡
I wish I could hear the sand falling like that. Lane's sand falling is the most epic one I ever heard.
That would be called throat bass
fully agree!
Check out Geoff’s eyes at 0:27 😂 I’ve watched this video so many times but focused on Ashley and Cesar there. I love that everyone keeps acting throughout the song, whether they carry the story or not 😁
Similarly I love Ashley’s face when Geoff screams at the rat 🤣

🤣 That was my exact reaction like three years ago. I went down that hole hard with zero regrets. If you haven’t found them yet, check out Voiceplay’s Hoist The Colors, OogieBoogie, and his solo work. Plus lots of other fun stuff like live feeds when they are doing video shoots and chats with them. It’s all highly entertaining.

Hanyodossta, welcome to the good life.
That's Geoff castelluci, you should watch there version of the oogie boogie song if like his voice so much, he sings the main melody most of the song and hits an insane E1 at the end
1. Incredible. 2. I feel like if Geoff spoke to me in person in that voice, I'd recoil and think he was a lost X-man. Like it reverberates in my chest.
The things throat bass can do
He’s amazing!!
Codfish is a beatboxer who does something similar I think, you can listen to his covers of no diggity or boulevard of broken dreams :)
As a beatboxer I'm fairly certain the g1 was done in throat singing, not inhale
It’s unbelievable! I have listened to that part so many times!
When this was teased, I hoped that Geoff would do Camilo's part, but I never knew I needed him to also be Isabela and scream about rats. 💯
I love the added comedy when Geoff changes outfits and has the flowers blowing through his hair. Genius!
Been listening to these guys since discovering them a few days ago. First time I've heard this gal. Beautiful voice. As usual, I love the harmony and that deep voice ... Love it. 🥰🌴
Between Layne actually singing, Geoff's high pitched scream, and Ashley's wonderful voice being with them...... I LOVE this video.
I agree 100% Those are my favorite parts too.
Great to hear Layne Stein sing... great arrangement and all the voices are so good individually, and in harmony
Awesome, nice to hear Layne sing. We don't hear that often enough 😃
My stepdaughter would LOVE this - this is one of her favourite movies ever! Thanks for this!
Geoff singing Isabellas part had me rolling on the floor🤣 Good job guys, best as always!
Mr. Beatboxer... THAT LINE at the end, YOU ARE A GENIUS!! the texture it gives to the song, the unexpected-ness xD, it was EVERYTHING

Damn, Layne's bit at the end was STUNNING!!! It's not every day you hear a person beatboxing words.
It's called ingressive phonation 😊
Ashley's voice goes so well with the rest of the group. You can always hear her voice cutting through, creating that extra layer of awesomeness. I'd honestly love to see her become a permanent member.
Geoff's reaction to the rat is hilarious! Voiceplay has outdone themselves with this video! Their vocals never fail to impress me.

You guys are seriously fire! You got me so hard with Geoff in a flowery blouse 🤣
1:30. WHAT! Such a small but impactul decision to have the notes for the high harmony match the notes of "we don't" at the beginning of Isabela's solo line! You all are insane!
