For real though!! Layne's Beatboxing was on a completely different level. It was amazing when they did Dream On, but this song shows how much fun he has with the techniques.

Geoff was unworldly like usual, but can Eli get praise. The grit he added to his lines gave me goosebumps. I knew he had range, but that tone put him on another level.
Yes, there was a little fry in Eli's parts at just the right time. I love listening to his timbre on My Mother Told Me as well... he's a show-stealer in that version.
Eli's distortion on his voice gives me CHILLS.
Eli's voice and range continually amaze me, and those high, slightly gritty belts of his are just glorious.

I don't know how to describe this properly, but Geoff's bass lines and Layne's beatbox parts just kinda... get more... impossible..(?) with every video. Were they born on the same planet as us? At this point I can't even guess.

This is yet another example of VoicePlay continually raising the bar, pushing themselves, stepping outside their comfort zones to become even more incredible performers, entertainers, and creators. You inspire me to keep upping my own expectations of myself and for that I'll forever be grateful. This song is incredible - such power and energy. Layne, you did an amazing job with this mind-blowing arrangement, although this doesn't surprise me anymore because all of your arrangements are mind-blowing. My mind is now expecting to be scattered to the four corners of the world in anticipation of your arrangements. Eli, your video editing skills are amazing...I don't know how you do it.

I enjoyed this on a first watch and listen, but with headphones on, this just hit epic levels. Geoff’s solo beginning at 1:36…super low, but then gradually climbs. Camera goes off of him, but if you listen, he is hitting some absurd high notes as the group joins back in. My jaw is on the floor.

I watched the Patreon version many times before the public release and only just now noticed it was Geoff going high on his solo chorus after going really low. 😳 I thought that was AleXa singing! The quality of those higher notes from Geoff was amazing!

the beatsboxing is actually real drums. i have separated the whole song into channels via ai, and i am listening right now, as i suspected, the drums are just that, drums. not beatbox. still good song though.

I've been full on the Arcane bandwagon since it came out, so I can't tell you how I excited I was to find out that you were covering the theme song. Spectacular job!! Way to take a song that's relatively simple (I think only two chords) and make it entirely your own. There are lots of covers out there, but none anything like yours. That's what I'll always love about you all. And congrats to AleXa for winning American Song Contest! She sounded absolutely amazing with you guys!!

EDIT AFTER VIEWING: OH MY PILTOVER! That was one of the best collabs I've ever witnessed! Everyone did amazing, I'm still blown away that people are this wonderful at making instrument noises with their mouths and vocal cords. I also loved the fact that AleXa was doing choreo as Jinx, it really fit the dynamic. Such a beautiful cover, that I'm going to have on repeat for a long time. This is the best thing I could've ever needed after getting over Covid for the second time. Keep up the amazing work, VoicePlay and AleXa, love y'all so much.

I'd never heard of Arcane but didn't need to, to be able to enjoy this amazing arrangement. Alexa was just gorgeous, Eli is absolutely the Rock Overlord with Cesar being your more angelic sounding counterpart! Geoff... what the hell? That evil laugh shook me then throwing in that high note taking me out of my bassy comfort zone, well done sir! And then there's Layne?? With his ever more ridiculous and fascinating vocal high jinx! You threatened to melt my ears but you missed and went straight to my brain! That's ok though, because I've never enjoyed music or looked forward to something new as much as I do having discovered you guys. Eli's slight gravel in this one is amazing. What a nice touch! Cesar has a commanding presence with that stare. Layne is always on point! What can I say about Geoff? Hot in that jacket and dark hair. His low notes give me shivers.

Cesar always amazes me with his range and colorings of his voice. From ethereal to in-your-face.
Layne was just WTF with his percussion here, what more can I say. It's always special and very tight but here it was exceptional.
And AleXa: Perfect fit for Jinx. She did some amazing characterisation and choreography, and she has an amazing voice as well, with great control and timbre. And she blended well with the group yet still stood out when needed.

I don't care for this song, but I keep coming back because ...VoicePlay! Geoff's lows and highs here are insane and the beatboxing is unreal. The singers are doing these creative harmonies that keep me intrigued. You know a cover is good when people who don't like the original keep listening to the cover. This is so well done.

Ok, so i just checked, raised Geoff's Bass slide near the end up an Octave and it's certainly an F#0 the note that he lands on. It's definitely fry, not growl or subharmonics but damn, that's really cool. Congrats on the new song guys, i loved it!

@@dr_weevilgaming9820 It is fry and i know what you mean, but for really low notes, notes that are not "countable" let's say, fry is overwhelmingly EQ'ed to sound smoother. Listen to example Tim Storms. His fry is always powerful and smooth because of the way that it is mixed in the studio or through an audio engineer if he sings live (plus the fact that he is really good at it so he learned how to sing softer and quitter with it so it has that soft pulse type of sound to it rather than a creaking door)
EDIT: Such a low slide ( with growls) is almost inhuman tbh, not even the best like Tim Foust (or Clap It Up Dan, extremely good at Growls) can produce such a low frequency without sounding too breathy.

I'll have to admit I'd never heard of these guys and came here because of AleXa who I'm a huge fan of. This is so good they're all insanely talented, enjoyed seeing something different yet again from AleXa too, she fitted in perfectly. I just hope all the haters who say she can't sing see this. I like yours much, much, much better. Wasn't entirely sure that I really loved it at first, but it's really growing on me.

And lastly, whomever you guys team up with, the sheer quality of vocal casting beggars belief, with their voices blending with VoicePlay as much as standing out as the featured artist... I'm literally blown away!

Okay, this one is my new favorite cover of theirs and I say that with every video they come out with but that just shows how they blow my expectations for every video they post away. First of all the costumes are amazing, I have never seen arcane so I don't know if each costume is representing a certain character (let me know) BUT they are just all amazing. I think that Cesar's costume is my favorite. The setting for the video is also amazing too, it looks so realistic though it is green-screened (I think, correct me if I'm wrong on that). And I loved how it really looked like AleXa was there with them even though she was added in post. Lastly, the music is phenomenal as always. Geoff's verse gave me chills because like how can he be that good, it's insane. Eli and Cesar are amazing as always their verses were also great and Eli sounded just like the singer for Imagine Dragons (can't think of their name lol). Layne's beatboxing never ceases to amaze me and I love all the little things he added to this. And I had never heard of AleXa before this but she is so talented, I am glad that they got to collab with her on this! And now I am going to watch this a million times, thanks for reading🙂

My first (and best) exposure to Imagine Dragons was the Pentatonix/Lindsey Stirling cover of "Radioactive". Voiceplay and AleXa have likewise improved this song.

This is why I love Voiceplay, they don't just sing a song, they assimilate into whatever performance they're making which makes it a lot better. Even the featured artists are amazing because they're in on it as well. Truly outstanding performers!

I'm not sure if y'all realize exactly how much your music means to some of us. I can't speak about other's feelings and experiences but I can share a bit of mine. I was in a horribly abusive relationship for 13 years. My kids and I got out thankfully. Unfortunately because of a genetic health condition that I and so far 2 of my children have I have been forced out of employment and have been trying to gain my disability. I already struggle with feelings of failure, however because of my financial condition I have been having to rely on my ex for support. It was alright at first but as I should have known his emotional torment was soon to follow. Daily I am berated with how much of a failure I am as a person, as a wife, as a mother, as an anything and his proof is the fact that I a depending on him right now so my children aren't homeless. Needless to say this has brought back my PTSD, anxiety, and depression quite overwhelmingly. I say all of this so that when I say that your music, the stories that you paint, the sound of your voices all this and more are what take me to my happy place, shows you exactly how much your music rally does mean to me. It stops anxiety attacks, it's my escape when i am being bombarded with insults, it helps me stop thinking about my failures. So thank you, thank you all for sharing your talents, your time, your hard work, your art, with all of us! I truly cannot say thank you enough for what y'all's music means to me! (As i wrote this Daddy Sang Bass came on, Music does indeed sooth a troubled soul!)
I feel like Voiceplay just continue to up the ante with every video that they make, and this one is no exception. Geoff’s bass notes and evil laugh sends shivers down my spine, and Layne’s beatboxing is just amazing. Great job on yet another mind blowing video!
