I miss the days when interleague play happened only in spring training, the All-Star Game, and the World Series. I miss the days when the American and National Leagues each had their own style of play.
His performance is even more respected because home games were on grass v. Brett's .390 on artificial turf & Gwynn's .394 against diluted pitching with expansion. Unfortunately Carew's .388 is barely remembered, but must be considered the closest to William's .401.
New subscriber & absolutely love ur channel. Appreciate the hard work putting it together. TWIB was a big part of my feelings toward ⚾ growing up. Being in Detroit, it was a way to see highlights of all my favs in the NL & on the west coast of AL. Waited for TWIB all week long. Lol I look forward to watching the rest of ur channel 👍
People don’t realize that the day of the 1971 All Star Game was very windy and contributed to the power surge in the game. I know this because I was a kid living in suburban Detroit at the time.
The uniforms were colorful then, very nice, now they try to bring back some color to the unis. and they look terrible, leave them road grays n home whites.
Baseball was literally at the top of its game in 1977. It seems so fake today. Miss these times so much.
It mattered then. Today, it's nonsense.
11 years old in 77 and couldn’t wait to watch every Saturday. Classic Baseball.

They were also the days when there were daytime WS and playoff games.
Reliving my childhood's Saturday afternoons before the Game of the Week....thanks!!!! And the outro music (Gathering Crowds) always gives me chills...

Foster was the only player to hit 50+ Homeruns in the 1970’s.
When baseball was naturally beautiful ⚾️
Steve Garvey should be in the Hall of Fame.
I agree a complete player with all of the stats he should have been in along time ago
I totally agree Paul 👍
A must-watch with my little brother and myself back in the day
So dig these old "This Week In Baseball" videos... grew up on them... just awesome!

Again, just wanted to say a sincere thanks for these!
Astros wore the same unis at home and the road. Cool!
So did the A's (except their white jerseys) and the Pirates.
This is my childhood
Me too, when there wasn't 1000 games on all week. Saturday afternoon double headers were a joy.
I wish I had been at the 1933 All Star Game. Oh what fun that would have been.

The All-Star Game would be Goose Gossage’s last save at Yankee Stadium.
Wow! gotta love that homerun by the Boomer George Scott in the bottom of the ninth off Goose Gossage 👌🏻
