Love the Cardinals commercial from Channel 5......... that is even better than some of the segments with some of the original Batman words "Pow" "Boom" "Zam"
That Mets/Reds game was one of the wildest games ever, all that stuff w the brawl & the pitchers rotating from the mound to the outfield never would have happened had Parker caught that last out of the game.
Brewers started out 13-0 and stayed hot after that for a brief time. By July, the team was so cold that it went into the All-Star break under .500. The team rebounded nicely but 3rd place was the best it could do with the Jays and Tigers playing that much better.
This series between the Cubs and Expos in 1987 I attended, just don't remember which game, the Saturday game , I think. I had just graduated from Great Lakes Naval Training Center and was about to ship out to Virginia for A School.
That quick shot of the World Trade Center in the NYC background is bittersweet.
Pretty cool to hear Mel Allen, Vin Scully and Harry Kalas all in one show.
How about bob Uecker
@@christiantordonato3136he must be in the first row.... very funny man uek.
I loved and I miss TWIB
Me too. Mel Allen was an incredible boon to baseball.
Best baseball ⚾️ show ever
I loved and miss TWIB, too. And, I can't for the life of me figure out why MLB Network does not air reruns of this show.
I loved this week in baseball
Fuck. I miss the 80's. I miss TWIB.
Major trip down memory lane here!
This is back before you had access to every game and every team miss the Saturday afternoon game of the week the way it used to be
Schmidt had great wrists, just like Hank Aaron. Just amazing.
What the... ?! I came here mostly for the great music that ended that show.

L E wasn’t it that season, maybe even during that hot start, that Nieves threw the clubs first no hitter...ending with a great play in CF by Yount?
Molitor also had the 39 game hitting streak.
So they were playing for third place?

Do you guys remember when there was only east and west division?
1987 was a fun season. Especially on Strat-O-Matic.
Mike Schmidt joins the 500 HR club
The next page in that rule book Pete Rose is reading at 19:47 is a list of betting lines.
Sports gambling is legal now LoL
very original. Clever.
1987 was a big year for my tigers. Alice Cooper says detroit vs Toronto was the world series. Dang twins
Andrew Young Remember the one game playoff vs Toronto, in Tiger Stadium?
Frank Tanana and Larry Herndon
Andrew Young Exactly. I still wonder what could’ve been had Detroit signed Lance Parrish instead of letting him go to Philadelphia
Ikr broke my heart

Late April and they were already going shirtless in Wrigley Field, must have been a hot spring that year.
When the Brewers went on start 13-0 it was on WFLD-TV FOX 32 in 1987 and WVTV Channel 18 Milwaukee and 620 WTMJ
Weird that the OP dated this April 27, 1987 but at the end, it shows the NCAA Championship from 1988.
16:12, Ralph Kiner is having a stroke?
Question. Why did this ever go off the air?
