When the music started playing at the end, my eyes filled with tears. What a great time to be a 12 year old kid.

Hahaha, I thought I was the only one who got teary-eyed when it started playing at the end ! Glad I'm not alone on that.

You are not alone. Magical days as a 14 year old in 1977. Amazing how a few notes of music can be so powerful after all those years.

We were boys at a special time. A time when boys were men.

Earl Weaver made arguing with umpires an art form. Even when he looked chill, he could still find a way to get tossed from a game. Thanks for posting this.

As a 12 year old, MLB 1977 is the greatest year for me. unknown to me, girls and skateboards would dominate my life as a 13 year old.

In the days before everyone-gets-all-the-information-possible-whether-they-need-it-or-not, this was the best way. along with reading The Sporting News, to find out about teams and players outside your hometown. Saturdays, right before the game of the week, TWIB was on!

I love Ted Simmons's reaction. Dispair. Acceptance. 15:19

Didn't need a clock then. Umps we're in control. Pitchers & batters didn't waste time. Typical game 2:25. Even a National Game of The Week was only fifteen minutes longer. Real hit & run. Base stealing. Bunting for a hit part of strategy. This game had action.

Mike Schmidt was one of the greatest hitters of all time behind Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams of course.

13:04 the Reds where really old school back then…no facial hair, batting gloves, stir ups, black cleats

Would loved to have seen Manny Ramirez playing for Billy Martin or Earl Weaver as his manager, that dude would dog it in so many ways, jogging down the first baseline after hitting a hard grounder, lazily going after the ball after it's hit to him in left field, not playing because he's sick but ends up hanging out with the opposing teams player's, Martin and Weaver would have kicked his ass all the way back to the DR

9:16 The producers made a conscious decision to show the Boston home crowd all cheering for the Twins' (Hisle) home run. 🤣

This may sound like an impossible task, but is there any way at all, of uploading the entire unedited, colorized version of the 1973 MLB All-Stars Game on here? Thank you for your consideration. Great videos by the way.
