Jack Kills Dana Walsh - 24 Season 8
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 кві 2017
- Jack chases Dana around New York and eventually hunts her down. He follows her into a building where she is trapped and Jack finally gets to put an end to this awful character. The actress isn't bad, but man the stuff the writers gave her is the lowest fall of the season.

To this day, the CTU telephone ringing is my ringtone.
Lol answer the phone saying “ctu this is Jim” 😂😂
Doop! Doop! Deedoo!
I had that ring wayback in season 3 to this day.
17 years and it still doesn't gets old.
It's my text alert tone. I always wonder when someone hear it if they have any idea where the tone is from? 😆🤓
I was watching this with my cousin, who never watched 24, he just joined me in this episode. When Jack got to Walsh, he was like - "Oh yeah, here we go, he's gonna be conflicted but ultimately let her live because he's such a hero, I've seen this shit so many times". His reaction after Jack shoots her was absolutely priceless, I will never forget that face.
Kiefer Sutherland wouldn't be a a baddy though, jack beuar is one dangerous and reckless dude - I wouldn't intentionally mess with him
He shot her down like Nina. I cheered!
Jack doesn't fuck around, if someone needs to be tortured, he's your guy, if someone needs shooting, he'll always follow through.
Tell your cousin, Jack doesn't point a gun at you if he doesn't mean to use it
nice
There are times Jack kills for the good of his country and there are time that he kills for pure revenge. This is no strings attached murder. This is one of his best revenge kills for sure.
Well Nina Myers wasn’t much different but yea
@@grahamthegreat5237 not much different from David Palmer's assassin either.
It was a revenge kill. But the gutting of Pavel Tokarov to get a sim card out of his intestines? That was intense revenge too.
thats why his character is so interesting. If all of his kills were justified deadly force it would be lame as hell its great he is capable of vegence and retribution.
Nah. Nina Myers was hand down the best revenge kill in the series. Dana got Renee killed, but Nina killed his wife and the mother of his kid,
I'm surprised so many people thought this was a dark, villainous move on Jack's part. Dana got what she deserved.
Because it wasn't his place. Because he was being a vigilante. She was no longer a threat, and - as boring as it is in an action drama - she should have been arrested, tried, convicted, and sentenced.
Because this was just cold-blooded murder.
Did she deserve death? Yes, through the court system. And that's not him.
That's why.
Oh of course it was his place. She was the harbinger of death. She would lead them all to their end.
Because no matter what she did, by all means shooting an unarmed surrended person is still a crime. Unless if said person is black of course
Jack was out after president Omar Hassan death, but then those Russians killed the woman he loves in his own apartment, what wud u do if it was u?
To say God has done more heinous things is an understatement.
The plastic was already laid down. That's convenient!!!
... "Nothing."
Thus begins Jack's genuine descent into darkness and villainy. Season endings always show us why a Jack Bauer out for revenge is not to be fucked with.
Lesson learned: do NOT kill Jack's girlfriend!
Jack always had that in him, even in season 1. The difference is that as Jack lost more and more, he had less and less motivation to restrain his worst instincts.
@@addisonmerryman6541 he kinda went tony almeida route but not quite as extreme
Well, at least Jack was kind enough to kill her close to some random plastic sheets. She was instantly wrapped up to be shiped to a morgue, lol.
😁 😁 😁 😁
When I saw the plastic sheets everywhere I instantly knew her fate. She got what was coming to her.
Used to watch this back in Africa with my younger brother who just passed away… RIP KINDNESS. Love and miss you so much bro.
Damn what day
Africa is not a country.. sorry for the loss of your brother
Jack Bauer is a former Delta Force Captain and He’s ruthless when he got a goal
24 one of the best shows they need yo bring Jack back the best
@2:52 I like how he says “slowly turn around” then immediately proceeds to yell “NOW!”
Yes, totally ridiculous, like most American TV.
Has anybody else realized the counter terrorist unit is full of terrorists 😂😂😂
I already noticed this in Season 1, Jack Bauer gets hired as head of CTU, after he went to Serbia, placed a bomb to kill Drazen, also killing his wife and daughter.
Andre Drazen: "- Oh, he says it was an accident.
But when a man goes
halfway round the world to set off a bomb,
he's responsible for
any "accidents" that result. "
I did bitches....
@@skapunker1986 he wasn't hired to run CTU.. he was already a employee.. Christopher Henderson aka Peter Weller clarified that..
Not to mention in the first episode Jack was a provision director Richard Welsh was the boss of CTU...
You don't just get Simply Hired for a high level job and automatically become in charged..
@@skapunker1986 rip Dennis Hooper aka Andre Drazen😢
Imagine how many time a high security government has been inflitrated, bombed, been released dangerous substance…. i don’t know what to say..
Please can the producers continue with the series,it was the best action packed series ever made and watched by millions of people all over the planet.great
Jack Bauer needs to get out of that Russian prison and save the day in Ukraine.
@@tmmnago2722 🤣🤣🤣
Jack Bauer in wartime (or postwar) Russia would be a great start for season 10.
@@acbgames1766 but how old will he be ? like denzel in Equalizer ? It is not realistic
Looks like you did not watch it to the end. The government used him up and wanted Jack dead like an old worn out piece of equipment.
FACT: Katey Sackhoff was considered for the role of Kim Bauer before it went to Elisha Cuthbert.
XD
Obviously in 2001 she would have looked younger.
#FakeNews
I didn't know that. Great fact. Katee Sackoff knocked the role of Starbuck out of the park on Battlestar Galactica. Very pretty in that role. And fierce.
Elisha's a better actress and had better familial chemistry with Kiefer and with Leslie Hope.
That “DON’T YOU MOVE!” gave me feels.
Nobody goes too jail on 24 . If Jack don’t kill you , he needs to interrogate or trade you .
Tony went to jail.
Or he may just invite you to CTU and take your head off with a hacksaw. Great Jack Bauer line. "I'm gonna need a hacksaw" Jack don't blink.
Tony Almeida: Am i a joke to you?
I love the intro of this scene, when Jack disables the side arm, really cool shit, no annoying cuts in between, but one take shot.
I love how he is using covers, crouching and sometimes he even go into prone.
I love his creative stuff during combat, that jacket throw was amazing and clever.
I adore how he is sweating after the kill. He is sooooooooooooooooo grounded and human-like.
Exactly. Overall this show is great, but the details are just amazing. Any person who has a good taste for TV and likes thrillers, action and drama will say it doesn't get any better than 24.
@@stormyboy129 Bauer is really detailed and complex hero. With Lucas Hood, my favorite tv characters.
believe it or not im using Jacks style in airsoft CQB games for more then 10 years, guess what, it works! He just knows angles, I especiall love when he ambush, maaan such skilled assault on field! I bet Kiefer masterd it to the full!
@@csabaarthurdr.molnar8203 His tactical understanding and observation skills are pushing him really above. The scene when he goes to rob the store to get the terrorist is one of the best scenes i ever saw.

Poor guy in the taxi
After all these years,I still say Dana got what was coming.
Oh yea she deserved that
@@BlackMarvel25 I was so happy
Its hard not to watch 24 Legacy and picture Jack in the same situations & have it turn out differently. The Ultimate badass. There will never be another.
Superfan K yeah I agree, I'm trying to give this new 24 every chance, but it really is just not the same without Jack
It's not just Jack; I gave the new guy every chance as well. But he was just expressionless and robotic. What were they thinking? That we wouldn't notice?
Daniel J. Phillips Well now I know you're full of shit. Corey Hawkins has been getting rave reviews for all his performances. Are you sure that's the real reason you don't like him? I'd rather have the truth than have you make up an outright lie. Robotic and expressionless were two words that certainly did not define his character. Tony Almeda on the other hand, that's a different story!
Well now, seems like we have a difference of opinion. That does happen, you know.
No, my thoughts are exactly as I expressed them. I think the actor who played the brother would have made a better lead; he was expressive and engaging. A number of folks think the same... but it'd be my opinion, regardless. We clearly are hearing different responses. Glad you enjoyed his portrayal.
Daniel J. Phillips His brother was good, I'll give you that. But something tells me if he'd been given the lead, some people would say the same exact thing. Now as I said before, Carlos Bernard was terrible this time around as Tony Almeda. I would rather they brought back Chloe instead. But to each their own. I'm sorry you didn't get what you wanted from Corey's performance. I'd recommend Straight Out of Compton.
NO ONE, NOT even my Mother could speak in my presence when 24 was on. I was an ABSOLUTE DIE HARD SUPER FAN!
Same 😂😂😂 I am actually rewatching the whole thing now
Its always funny how the "master assassin / operatives" always sucked at ammo count in 24.
Nothing...NOTHING.
classic line ....
Favorite line of entire series. So much emotion behind it
I think Dana reminded Jack too much of Nina. That's all the more reason he had to want to kill her and not just because of Renee. Also, it was probably triggering that yet another mass murderer wanted to just be useful so they could live and he was completely tired of it by this point.
Very true
Yeah you're right. From what I remember of this season when I watched it years ago. Dana was rotten to the core.
Dana was hardly a good person, and may have even deserved execution for her betrayals if not life imprisonment. But this was easily a case where she died for the wrong reasons. Jack's murder of her wasn't for any sort of justice, but solely because she had worked with Renee's killers, never mind that she was in custody when Renee was murdered and had nothing to do with it.
Jack always had a personal code. He killed both Nina and Henderson in revenge for their murders against his family and friends, but only after it was made clear that there wouldn't be any fallout in doing so, as other times prior when he had chance to kill either of them he didn't, as doing so could result in innocent people getting hurt in the aftermath, which is why he even went so far as to save Nina's life during Season 2 because they needed her information on the bomb. And even then, he would ONLY kill that person who directly caused that level of harm. While not above revenge, if he was forced to choose between that and reason, he would always pick reason in the past. This time he didn't. He finally broke his own code.
Such a terrifying, brutal, powerful moment.
I think that Jack's accumulated wrath finally explodes. He couldn't take anymore all the pain he suffered on the whole series. The show worked very well on it. At this point after several times of he not falling to his loved ones murders one doesn't expect that jack finally break down.
@@luisgallo3705 i love season 6 ending, it suggests that Jack has maybe even considered suicide, because he is tired of suffering
I love it, i think we've never seen an action hero with an existential crisis, at least on TV
@@TheDRODOR Exactly. Everyone says season 6 is bad but nobody can deny it: the ending is just incredible. The show indirectly says "someday this wrath may explode"
@@luisgallo3705 season 6 may not be the strongest one but Jack is always the best written character
I don't like what they did with him in season 9 though, it had some weird patriotic moments
The thing is, earlier in this episode, he didn't absolutely *need* her dead - and even here, I don't think his killing her was personal. I would say he finally killed her here because she'd proven beyond enough reasonable doubt that, as long as she remained alive, she was going to be too much of a liability for him. She'd proven to be much too capable of being able to thwart what he wanted to do, thus continuing to leave her alive past the point where he did need her would have been leaving a risk he simply couldn't afford. Had she not tried to disable or else otherwise tie down Jack and Cole and then try to escape like she did...possible Jack sees things differently.
Had it been solely revenge, her killing would have been as gruesome as his killings of the Russians who he really wanted. Instead, I'd call her killing more...professional necessity, so to speak.
I hated the Dana Walsh story line. Cheered when Jack shot her.
Alex Jossi Who is she?
Starbuck.
She's from Starbucks? 😂 Lol just kidding
she was like that worm guy in LOTR
Alex Jossi it was a good ass long con, she gave up Niptuck for this role!

I clearly remember this. I was watching this with my dad and my brother. I loved how jack just blind shot her,
I'd say he did a helluva lot more than just kill Dana Walsh. Referring to episode 21. Jack finally gave into his truly hard core abilities. He gutted a man to get a sim card. I'm with Jack Bauer. His lovely wife and now girlfriend were brutally murdered for no reason. Great video, John Gormley. I watched only parts of it. I've already seen the series "24" many times. Practically have it memorized entirely.
Anyone know where I can get sound effects from this show?
Man Jack was an amazing and badass character.
"We can make a deal..." Ummm, doesn't look like you're in position to make a deal.

at this point the only deal she had would have been her body
A fitting end to one of 24's worst subplots.
Thunderbirds101 omg ik im not the only one who cheered their ass off when he put 2 in her chest.
Yep and crappest villains/oh no not anpther tech mole
@ELVISDlNNERSHOW2014 yeah, season 8 started quite weak by 24 standards. I sure as hell thought that this was it for 24. Then season started suddenly getting better and better, becoming actually fantastic again after Renee Walker's death. I think it was the fact that writers didn't have enough material for entirety of 24 episodes, so they just stretched the beginning, and then poured the best ideas they had in the later half. I think that's why Live Another Day worked for me so well, it was short, and material fit perfectly into 12 episodes.
I currently re-watched season 8 and everything with Dana and Kevin was a chore to sit through. Even worse than Teri's amnesia in season 1. Thankfully, the last six or so episodes are absolutely excellent.
Dana tried to be a Nina... Ended up being like that One girl who tried to negotiate an extra Million... Scared shitless and brainless
Muy buena serie 24h, la veía con mi hermano en un canal de señal abierta aunque muy tarde empezaba. Pero valía la pena en realidad, me trae muchos recuerdos. Saludos desde Lima - Perú
I maligned the Dana Walsh character when she was "good" earlier in the season, but I have to admit the actress is very good at looking like a remorseless killer.
DAYUM!! President Kirkman back at it again with them KILLER SHOTS!! 😂😂
UNSC INFINITY
President kirkman had to change his name to Jack Bauer to become the Jack we all know and love for under cover reasons
Fun Fact : The 2:33 jacket throwing trick is used by Kiefer Sutherland in a movie which starred his own father. The movie is The Forsaken 2015.
Yeah, Jon Cassar directed that. Is it any good?
Its decent nothing special ,only watch if you are a Kiefer's fan
I actually really liked it. Awesome western, dialogue and writing is good, and the bloodbath at the end is like a Quentin Taratino film. Plus Adrian Cross is finally a good guy.
How is throwing a jacket a trick? I could throw a jacket omg, I LEARNT A SKILL!
Sucks to be the guy in the taxi...
I'm pretty sure this was ep20 ending not 21 in description.
Also can you upload more season 8 scene? Like omar hassan's death.
We need more Jack Bauers in
Washington today.
ABSOLUTELY! I've been feeling that since the very first season of 24.
We need fewer people in Washington today. We need Jack Bauers in California.
I think people willing to kill, torture and execute for the government are one of the few things Washington doesn't have a shortage of lol
I mean... no. That would turn out an absolute disaster. The great thing about 24 is its escapist quality, I can kinda turn off my usual moral filter and just enjoy Jack handing it to people who do him bad or you just plain don't like. When you can root for a character you'd be horrified to see in real life is when you know the writers have done an excellent job.
Recycled story lines.. CTU gets attacked AGAIN. Mole in the agency AGAIN. Still entertaining tho
Most of season 8 was ok, but some of it gets great.
they went to the nuclear attacks/terrorist storyline a little to much. The one with the nerve gas was interesting cause it WASNT about a potential nuclear attack
I am sad because Annie Wershing died in real life. Her Renee was fantastic. RIP Annie!
This was my favorite season
Can't believe it's been 10 YRS. already...

I still can't believe Jack Bauer shot a cop. He's always doing cray 😜 ass things.
I like how he drops the weapon after shooting the cop and takes out a spare.
He left his weapon at the crime scene on purpose to buy him some more time to go and pursue Dana Walsh.
They’d grab his weapon and match it for prints.
More so he unloaded his weapon and toss them aside from each other so that way he’d have a few extra seconds to escape.
McDonald's restaurants does a more thorough background check than the one from CTU.
Nothing! "N-O-T-H-I-N-G"
when we hving another season of this series?
To be honest, Dana Walsh is Nina 2.0. Can't blame Jack for killing her!!
This is when Jack ultimately betrayed Chloe's trust. When he decided to go on this killing spree, he turned his back on her and his family. He betrayed his every principals. Those secret service agents and guards whom Jack killed were actually innocent people. And what makes them innocent is that they had no idea that the man whom they worked for was a monster. Jack was so out of it that he no longer cared. He crossed the line when he threatened Chloe and hold her hostage. For a moment she even thought that he was going to kill her too. It really came close that he lost her and his family for good.
Exactly
Jack didn't kill the secret service agents who were with Logan. He shot to injure. His beef wasn't with them.
@@kellygitahi4782 oh yes

Satisfying scene
Most satisfying scene in the show. I loved the actress but Dana Walsh almost ruined season 8 for me, in fact she pretty much did ruin season 8. I'm one of those people that actually like season 6 more than 8. This season didn't have Jon Cassar and you can feel his absence.
Seasons 7 and 2 were the best ones. Without Tony there was something missing in this season.
I really hated Season 8 as well and in fact liked Season 6 as well.
7 is watchable it's meh not great but is definitely better then 8.
I hope Season 9 is good? I haven't watched it yet.
People forget while jack is the protagonist, he also kills for revenge or to save the day, interrogation. He has his flaws
On a more serious note, I wish that HBO would cast Katee Sackhoff as the lead on a new season, assuming there is a next one after the third, of "True Detective"...(if not her either Anna Torv or Robin Wright)

Dana Walsh was just Nina 2.5 and if you watch the episode 7-->8am they copy the shootout in the carpark from the season 1 finale
It makes sense to me now lol.
Which episode?
Pretty powerful stuff for sure
Couldn't have happened to a nicer woman. I know this was meant to mark the beginning of Jack's descent, but she 100% deserved this. Pretty sure everyone felt that way.
Where can I watch it
she should have played lady hulk. she's built like a beautiful linebacker lol
She would have made a more dangerous villain than Nina, if given more screen time.
Nina Myers all over again 😅
Billy Joyce hell no. Nina Myers was a great villain. Dana was just a dumb bitch who let herself get pushed around by a third rate small town criminal ex boyfriend lol
Billy Joyce She’s a wannabe Nina Myers. But Dana was dumb. Nina was a smart liar and traitor.
Yea
Nina Myers plot twist was the worst. You can tell that the writers never intended for that to happen until the season got extended and they pulled something absurd out of their asses to maximize unpredictability.
Nina sure was a great villain though. Without much makeup and some facial expression she looks like a scary woman.
I didn't like the title of the series but my niece coaxed me to watch one episode...wow, before I knew it I had a folder packed with Bauer's one way actions: Taking a terrorist as a prisoner is a risk and an excess baggage...
If I was a writer for the show Jack would have said "die" instead of "nothing"
"What you can do?? Heh. You can DIE." (bang)
That still wouldn't be as good as the exchange between Worf and Q in Star Trek: The Next Generation

Eu gosto da série 24 horas. Pena que acabou
The new 24 series is bad as hell. I watched only the first episode, I felt like destroying my TV. Without jack and it looks so predictable.
Umm how could you know the series is "bad as hell" if you only watched the first episode? one episode doesnt fully describe a series
IMO, it would've been better if they carried on with the character of Yvonne Strahovsky from the last season
I feel like Jack wouldn't have killed her if she didn't try to run.
Probably not
