- Final scene from my favorite episode in the series ever. This is such a jampacked episode, definitely the ep I've watched the most and love it every time.

In any other television drama, the assassin arc would've taken up the entirety of the season. Here in 24, the hitman is caught, gleaned, and dead all by the end of the first episode.
24 defied all norms of television storytelling.
That's because Jack don't have time to f#ck around...lol 😂
They could have done it in a few episodes but whatever, got to move the plot along
Did you even watch season 1 lmao
I mean Palmer's assassination story doesn't end here. It's a key plot line for the entire season. Yes, the guy who actually pulled the trigger on Palmer is taken out in the first hour, but the men in charge and who are pulling the strings, are still out there. Technically, it doesn't even end with this season since we find out Jack's brother has to do with it as well in season 6.
This show was so ahead of its time..seasons 4 and 5 especially
Hard to believe this season is 16 years old already. This season was so good with action and great twists. I rewatch it almost every year. Love it!
Season 4 and 5 are some of the best seasons of tv ever produced

"Take me to a hospital."
No need. Jack Bauer delivers the best medicine for assassins: bullets.
He propably got him to the hospital like he promised - never distinguished between ER or morgue
Should've saved the bullet let him bleed out
@@Nemesis1x1 Haas's friends came looking for him. He might have told them something. Derek might have died as a result.
As soon as he revealed that he was Palmer's killer, his ass wasn't going to the hospital. Lol
As much as it was badass for Jack to execute him, he could have just left him there to die a slow painful death bleeding out.
@@bangscutter he couldn't. The assassin people came back I think
@@bangscutter You recall the next episode his friends came looking for him later. That could have spelled trouble.
I wonder why Jack didn't just let him suffer and bleed out.
@@SolidSnake334-47 I mean, that wasn't for another 10 to 15 minutes later. He might have been dead by then.
Jack found and KILLED him 55 minutes after he killed palmer
SKILL
technically he found Jack.
Actually you only need to count the time Jack found out about the situation to the time Jack killed the assassin, which is quite impressive actually.
That's a very particular set of skills.
That should be considered a Real World COD-MW Achievement
No doubt it was short, but it also meant that the investigation was far from over and that we were dealing with a vast conspiracy.
Jack didn't say, "I give you my word."
He DID say, "If you tell me what I want to know." Which was true enough, since he didn't wanna know he was talking to Palmer's assassin.
When Jack says "I give you my word", he means it, unless someone else stumbles into the scene creating a mess then he goes "NOOOOOOO"
He had his fingers crossed behind his back!
The second the guy admitted to killing David he sealed his fate.
And there was nothing we could do... Real Bauer shit...
@HennesseeVol Eric Rayburn the Deputy Head of NSA (from season 2)? That would have been too funny🤣
Could have said Sarah Gavin
How Kiefer is holding his side arm and that awesome reload. OH MAAAAN, so badass and he looks so authentic. One of my favorite reloads of side arm on tv.

I don't think Jack was going to let him go anyway but the second he admitted to killing Palmer personally, he signed his death warrant 100%.
After the confession that he killed Palmer the hospital suddenly became a fantasy story.
Hahaha
😂😂
I thought Jack was a principalled man who didn't lie lol

I always thought it was so tragic that Jack spent all of season 1 trying to prevent Palmer from dying and then he gets assassinated as soon as Bauer was ‘dead’
something else that's interesting here is that the plan was to frame Jack for the Palmer kill, just as the Drazens intended in S1
I always found it a little absurd that all the attempts on the Palmer boys lives weren't connected in any way. I was waiting for the whole of season 5 for the German consortium behind Nina and Mandy to be revealed as Palmer's killers.
Still though, season 5 is the bollocks!
@@cockshield some things you have suspend disbelief like how all the attacks are in LA until season 8 lol

This show is so timeless. Love the intro for this season. It sizzled so much.
I miss Jack Bauer's so much! 24 needs to come back with him!
me too.

President Kirkman is cool and all, but Jack Bauer is the GOAT. Best TV show ever!
He was the president for a while
I disagree. A show shouldn't overstay its welcome. Look at how crappy The Walking Dead became. Even 24 suffered the occasional hiccup. (The entirety of season 6 is a good example.) All I'm saying is that if you keep a show going, there's a chance it'll jump the shark, like Fonzie in Happy Days, hence where the term was coined.
Wow I'm glad the 24 mega fan and I agree on the best episode in the series ;p
my favorite line from the episode:
Derek: "who are you?"
Jack: "someone who's not supposed to still be alive"
The guy didn't need a hospital. Jack took care of it for free and made the pain go away.
Yes
Jack Bauer, in my humble opinion, has gotta be the GREATEST Badass I have ever seen in television history!
I NEVER wanted this show to end!

Jack Bauer the true definition of a a real Bad Ass!
the knife skill was so dope!!.
Jack is amazing!!!
Man I hate it they killed David palmer. But Jack came out with vengeance. This was my favorite season
I love Jack he don't joke.
He treat every body equal under the law
He shouldn't killed Curtis Manning though
oh nameless bad guy, you steeped into united states of Bauerland. he's medic, police, DA, AG, Judge, Jury, hangman, and the gun itself.
Kiefer Sutherland rocked this Jack Bauer character! ! 👌
Best scene oh Jack Bauer ever 😀😀😀😀 Thank you
24
the knife skill was so dope!!.
Favorite episode from my favorite season.Just think what Jack was doing 24 hours before,& now today!
Quite possibly the most chaotic episode ever
This would have been a good time to honor Palmer with a silent clock.
Michelle could get a silent clock as soon as Tony finds out she's dead.
nowadays people talk about prison break, breaking bad, wednesday, power, money heist, stranger things
but people don't know about 24, and considering it's on disney plus, im surprised how little it gets spoken about
amazing show
Haas may not have been told much because of the way his business works, but someone really should have warned him that confessing the murder of David Palmer to Jack Bauer is really the worst idea possible.
Jack can't get his revenge if he warns people.
Although if Haas was bleeding out anyway why didn't he just leave him
Not shooting him again means a risk of him surviving, and he couldn't have that. Also I suspect he would rather be the one to kill David Palmer's killer rather than it being Chloe.
Legacy was a kick in the balls to this awesome show! #bringbackjack
Keifers too old to continue playing Jack Bauer but yeah I want the character to have a fitting sendoff
I love this scene
Some or his best kills in day 5, when he kills Henderson and he says " they were friends of mine " and Henderson says " that's the way it works" is my favourite kill
justice was served
Funny cause most other presidential assassins were captured then hung or jailed for it...
I'll always hate the fact that 24 never got a feature length hollywood film like some other fox shows did. Seeing Jack on the big screen would have been badass.
Yeah but you cant have Jack only for a 2 hour movie. You need to see him kill more than that.
It got a movie - 24: Redemption. Don't think it was in theaters, though.
There was rumor of one happening several years ago when the show ended the first time, but obviously it never happened.
There was a lot of wasted opportunity with this show.
You would think Tony's jailbreak at the end of Live Another Day meant they were setting up a scenario of him rescuing Jack from Russia or something. But nope, he just vanishes until he pops back up in Legacy.
@@kateofone With modern filmmaking, you can, but there's a trick to it. You can guess what it is.
i never noticed it until now, but 1:53 and 1:57 are the same shot.
The best of Bauer.
In Season 1 he’s Jack, by Season 8 he’s Bauer.
In Season 3, 4 & 5 he’s Jack Bauer, the best of the show and character.
Kira The Renegade your comment literally makes no sense
EricTheYounger I'm trying to say Jack is tje more human side that people address in earlier seasons but Bauer is his veteran self that's lost himself to the job.
oh i see
Jack cured his pain
Yep - EXACTLY !! I LOVE YOU JACK BAUER - ALWAYS & FOREVER !! : )
1:20 you can see that jack is still shooting bullets even though the gun is empty
Editing error moment... like a half second...but true
Gun's not empty until Jack says it is
Alternate dialogue: Hey dude you feel like being executed today?
Shooter: yeah
I think when he told Chloe "get Derek out of here" he meant *out of here* not "let him watch the show from further back"...
The assassin who killed President David Palmer, and was killed by Jack Bauer, wasn’t he the serial cult killer in the 1990 horror thriller The First Power with Lou Diamond Phillips. Good character actor.
also he played Joe in the walking dead (the guy who had his throat ripped out by Rick Grimes).
@@gavinlisk2292 that was badass
Couldn't agree more, my favourite episode too. I'm currently guiding my girlfriend through the entire series. We're at the start of Season 4, but I pine for the start of Season 5.
Four was the best for me personally.
I hope you've managed to keep her watching
4 is cool
I knew Jack was gonna kill the guy when he told Chloe and Derek to walk away.
My literal reaction to the start of the season was “ohhh we got David and Wayne on the first episode we startin off goo-HOLY MOTHER OF GOD”
Me to
Season 5 is so fucking good. Like top 5 seasons in dramatic tv history up there with the first 4 seasons of Game of Thrones, The sopraons, and the Shields final season. It's so legendary.
By far one of the best openings in TV history
Somewhere out there there's an alternate version of this scene where Jack says "I'll see you in hell" before he pulls the trigger. I think I might like his silence better, but boy would it have been nice if they included that on the DVD.
I remember that from the 24 Season 5 promos
I know after seeing this scene the first time I screamed YES HE'S BACK WITH A VENGEANCE THIS SEASON
The landlord from New Girl and the mayor from Sons of Anarchy killed Palmer!
4:10 ''well, that's your hospital you motherfucker'' bang
Did you say "Take me to heaven?" OK
- Jack Bauer
Season 1, 2, 4 and 5 🔥🔥🔥
You didnt like season 3?
I hadn't watched till fourth season so I had the pleasure of watching first three in one day each one .then I couldn't wait with the others .great show.
Bullshit you saw the 1st 3 in a day. 1 season is just over 16 hours. I know this since I've seen an entire season in 1 sitting before.
The way Jack reloads his gun after taking that car out :-)
He is back and the action begin, Jack Bauer
This kid must have felt very vindicated after being suspicious of Jack
So sweet, Jack and Chloe acting like they're Derek's parents.
Jack and Chloe, the biggest Power Couple since Mulder and Scully.
Nah the best ever!
Assassin: Take me to a hospital
Jack Bauer: Sure.....hell has a very scenic waiting room
*BANG*
I doubt there will be any other series like 24! Easily the best! I miss it a lot and I was hoping they will at least make a movie, but that didn't happen either.
Bullshit the movie never happened.
24: Redemption
Action started getting better here in season 5 , very good episodes
cinematography at 4:08 is good, with the lighting behind him
The real Raymond Reddington the other Red is an imposter.
I wish they had done a "making of" on the dvd about the car crash part of this scene. It just looks so badass. It doesn't seem edited together, it looks like Kiefer is actually there during the collision. I just wanna know how it was done!
Very carefully.
I wonder if the camera survived after that collision.
apple54345 There are two commentaries included on the DVD for this episode and I recall the crash scene being discussed. I don’t think it was planned to turn out how it did!
oh, wow. cool!
apple54345 Maybe they filmed the scene twice and spliced it together. They're tricky like that.
Jack just killed the mayor of Charming!

Me encanta esta serie la mejor la he visto hasta la temporada 8 deberían ponerla todas las temporadas completas a traves de este medio de verdad que si tomarlo en cuenta
Conrad: Only hired to take out the principal.
Jack: So, you have chosen death.
Please, the music of "previouly on 24" Season 5-7... Please!
Conrad Haas: Take me to a hospital.
4:08! Jack: Here's your Hospital. *BANG!*
❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏
At 1:20, his slide is open, which means he ran out of rounds right? But he seem to put another shot as the car ramped.
well that camera shot on the car crash was perfectly executed and it somewhat overshadowed the continuity error on the gun. im sure the editors / director noticed it but chose to keep the scene instead.
He's Jack Bauer. This is legit not the only time he has fired more bullets than a gun has, I just don't remember what episode the other one was because I was on a clip binge
Looks like Conrad HAASS made a big mistake by revealing that information.
He should've kept his mouth shut about killing Palmer, then he would have survived.
Jack Bauer for President!!
How was that hospital room service LOL
2:10 Palmer’s assassin goes down
In my eyes, the best Bauer kill.
Nina was the best Bauer kill
“Say hello to your brother”
Yeah Dana Walsh was a good one. But this one was way more meaningful
"See you around, buddy boy".
1:25 That Reload 🔥🔥🔥
I saw that guy in an episode of walker Texas ranger as Kurt nypo
And last night the x files
Jack is a fucking GOD.
Wonder if anyone actually thought Jack was going get him medical attention?
I didn't have that much time to think on it, actually.
He sounded pretty genuine at first. His attitude clearly changed once he learned that he was the one who killed Palmer.
@@cameronjosephvideos5942 Yeah, I actually think Jack was being serious about getting him medical attention until he said he's the one that killed Palmer.
I think in a Season 5 preview promo they showed Jack pointing a gun at someone like seen here at 4:07 except he added the lines of "see you in Hell" and then firing his gun.
I'm guessing the producers decided to take that line out since it was too harsh....not to mention not very Christian either.
@@VanillaLimeCoke dunno what you're on about, the line being un-christian wouldn't have been a factor as Sutherland,, nor Howard Gordon are religious and Surnow is of Jewish decent
Season 5 and 6 were the best
The killing game!
You don't mess with Jack Bauer you don't mess with Jack Bauer the world's greatest superhero nobody messes with Jack Bauer
I’m kind of surprised that Jack killed Haas in the very same and first episode.
I was thinking he was going to get away and be one of the top terrorists in Season 5 and we were going to find out more about him.
It’s kind of weird and disappointing that we didn’t learn more about him.
Yea
The clip of Derek brushing his hair and Chloe looking around freaked out is repeated in a span of a couple of seconds: 1:54 and 1:59. 😀
damn i miss this show. jack was the best !
