Little comparo of the Single Recto and Dual Recto Roadster! When I take a pause in the video it's so I can turn on the Dirty Tree pedal to boost both of these. Averaged at 100db volume for each amp.

Roadster was the first tube amp I ever owned. Went into a GC to buy a Recto mini 25 soon after they had come out but GC was clearing out all of their Mesa stuff and dropping them at the time. Think I got the Roadster brand new for 60% off and under $1k. Way more amp than I deserved at the time and it was a game changing surprise.
Would be shocked if #2 wasnt the Roadster. Its know to be relatively darker. I liked #1 better and prefer the newer multi watts even more.
Unless there's a pranky in place this is one is pretty easy, 1. Roadster (more headroom, less treeble sounding), 2. Single (for the opposite reasons)

Gonna say 1 was the dual, 2 was the single. 1 was slightly deeper, 2 has a little bit more of a mid range bite. But theyre close enough no ones gonna hear tbe difference if they're not back to back.
In the room, you notice a bit more difference, but how close they are on the mic was definitely surprising!
#1 for sure…and I’m glad I seen this bc I’m currently in the market for my first Mesa, and it’s always either trip rec or dual rec…but I’m seeing badlanders…recto verbs etc…very helpful

Often times it seems they have an agenda. Me, I buy all the stuff with my own money, so I'm not beholden to anyone.
Thank you very much for your great vids 🤘 ! Owner of Roadster and several others Mesa amps, I never tried a Single Rec. and I am looking for the results ! Some people say that the Roadster is slightly darker compared to other Rectos but I did not find this with mine...so number two could be the Dual 😉 ! One important thing, which channel did you used for the Roadster, 3 or 4 ?
Thank you for watching and commenting! The single is plenty beefy, I think people just pass on it since it’s a single instead of dual or triple. For the roadster I used channel 4 here since that’s the one I have setup for modern. Reveal video will be posted soon!
