I know this is late but you really do make the best reviews. I have a Hobie Compass thanks to you. Your enthusiasm is contagious. I can tell you love what you do and you are the best.
Just recently found your channel and am appreciating the effort and quality of your content. Shame it took the algorithms so long to suggest your vids!! If I were to get the 1000 nasci I would load it up with 4lb spinning flouro.
As a Daiwa guy... I’m a huge fan of the new Nasci! 99 USD for a cold forged aluminium main gear, screw-in handle, and 5 bearings (aka all the bearings that make a difference) - And shimanos silent drive! This package can’t be beat in terms of price.
Thanks heaps Byron. Your content has helped with how good your reviews are. I’ve been tossing up between the nasci 1000 and the Daiwa freams 2000. I would be using it for a bream and whiting land based.
Well done again Byron, love your review. I have never owned a 1000 reel, 2000 has always been my smallest tool in my cache. If I am lucky enough to win the Nasci I would load it up with 6lb J Braid and 8lb mono.
Hey Byron amazing video. I'm actually up in the NT and picked up a 4000 Nasci to go hunting Barra and Queenies. Goes great guns. I'm looking at a smaller model for my young bloke (7) and because I have enjoyed the 4000 so much was gonna get him the 1000 to attack some of the local ponds we've got about us full of little baby Barra. If I had one I'm be running 6lb braid (prob chartreuse J-braid) with a 15lb mono leader just to give the little guy some protection against the Barras gill rakers. Bonus being when we go to visit his grandparents down south at Nelson's Bay we can switch that leader down to and 4-6lb fluorocarbon and chase some bream and flatties. Thanks again mate keep up with the great content! Love your Yak stuff. Tight lines.
Just bought my son his first rod. A mini Shimano Raider. This 1000 would be the perfect size for him, spooled up with 8lb braid and some 6lb fc to chase Red Fin in Lake Hume. Started watching your channel recently and have really been enjoying it. Love to see some more competition stuff and keep the reviews coming 👌🏻
Brilliant review, and just sent it to my Brother as I saw him having a look at these on his phone. As a big shimano fan I’d love to have one for my early morning sessions on the flats, spooled in 4lb braid, 6lb leader and chase those skinny water bream and whiting… with the odd flatty making me sweat on the light leader lol more and more I’m choosing 1000s over 2500s. The balance with modern UL rods is just so much better. And as you spoke up, on a more budget reel like this where the reel is heavier for the size, it makes the 1000 the choice for me. Thanks for a great review, hope you’re getting time to wet a line over the holiday period!
Great review as always! I had the older version of Nasci as one of my first reels. I agree that it is a value for money, especially when I’m using it for kayaking. With the 1000 sized one, I’d put 6lb braid and 6lb fc leader. The size and retrieve length per crank is great for bream setup around metro Melbourne.
Oh well I missed out on the "gift" but I am excited about my new purchase today - SHIMANO Nasci 2500, paired with new favourite for now rod Shimano Quickfire 662 spin 2-4KG. I also got braid - Shimano 15lb (8 strands) Kairiki. This will be my lightest braid yet down from very good chinese generic brand of 20lb. I enjoyed Quickfire 731 Light spin 2-4 kg which is a bit more whippy and sensitive which helps to see the smallest nibbles, but a shorter sturdier version should improve control of soft plastics when jigging. Looking forward to the new toy. If all goes well I will consider a 4000 version Nasci in the future. Good luck with the channel.
I usually use a 6lb Fins braid with Diawa FC J-Thread leader - works well on for my light top-water estuary stuff and means I can cast a Sugarpen for miles :). I was super impressed with this real when first saw it, might be a perfect present for my oldest daughter who is just starting to really get into fishing with me. Great review too -glad I found your channel!
The content again man is great!! Keep it coming, keen to see some tournament videos when your in as a boater. The Nasci 1000 I would do 8lb and just chase bass in the creeks, would use 8-10lb leader for crank baits and surface. Amazing though for extra $30-$40 you can look into the frearms you cut a lot of weight. Thanks for the content man.
I enjoy watching your content and I been picking up some tips a long the way I mainly chase wild aussie bass but your tips on bream I enjoy and I am learning
I love my old nasci and it’s still going strong. I believe it’s the last generation and although it’s not sexy it’s a tough reel and still feels smooth with a great drag. Highly recommend the reels and find myself using it pretty often.
Hi Byron you and Steve Morgan are my most favourite you tube videos and always informative with reviews and technic of fishing. For this reel I would put a 4 lb x9 Berkeley braid and 4 lb yamatoyo leader to target whiting . I love to see more of this reviews coming keep up the great work 👍
I would put 8lb braid with 4lb or 6lb leader depending on where I am fishing I would put it on a infeet 1_4kg and use it with grubs minnow etc keep it up u legend love ur vids so much when will we find out who wins the draw
Great review again.miss my old fb nasci, the moment it got dragged overboard. I would spool the new one with 6lb shimano kairiki Happy new year BTH Media
Another quality review Byron. You're 100% correct about the reel price range, after a recent purchase of an Aird LT reel at what I was thinking was a great price was in fact a sacrifice or performance. Don't get me wrong it will bring a fish in but it just feels as though it could fail t any time so I've made the decision that my starting price range for a reel is the $200 mark. The Nasci 1000 would be nice fit for my Infeet 732 in my first crack at stream fishing for trout with 4lb J Braid and 4lb Finesse leader.
Cheers dude! Thanks very much for sharing your thoughts man. I think the aird is for a beginner just getting into it. New for the Gromit just learning. Thanks for sharing again legend
New to your channel and loving all the content so far! I’m diving back into the fishing culture recently and gained a lot of knowledge already from you videos. Never owned a 1000 sized reel and would be an added experience to my journey! As for the Nasci combo, I’d run a 6lb braid with a 4lb FC leader for a finesse setup🤞🏽 Keep the vids coming!!
Another quality video Byron👏 Would spool up with 2-4 lb casting FC for crankbaiting. Definitely enjoying the live streams on IG to, Keep up the great work👍
Hew Byron, great videos, I love that they're unbiased and genuine so i can really trust the info. i would love to pair this reel with some 6lb chartreuse j-braid to go on my td hyper and replace my old Sedona. Cheers mate.
Great vid man always love watching these reviews vids .On the Nasci I would put 6lb j-braid in blue and put 4lb leader. And will put it on my Miller rod which would be a nice little combo for bream , Redfin , flathead and lots of estuary fish .
My favourite UL reel is a near 20 yo Abu G Cardinal size 1000. It's been a solid workhorse, but its showing its age and have been looking for a replacement. I was looking at the Nasci, but probably the previous model, I liked the feel of that reel when in the shop. It seemed way ahead of other 1000 sized reels. If I had this latest model, it would be spooled exactly as my AB, with 6lb Berkley X9 and 8lb flouro leader
Hey Byron!! I’m pretty new been watching since I got covid and have been loving it we are looking in to our first abt tournament soon! I’m really excited and am so happy I came over your channel I’ve never had a 1000 I’ve had a 2000 but a 1000 shimano Nasci would add a new finesse feel for trout, bass , trevally, bream and whiting I would put either 4lb or 6lb or 8lb Saltiga braid on it for that really really light feel and pair it with a daiwa Infeet not sure which model but would be my main reel and rod for most of my fishing and I hope to win and hope to meet you some day thanks - Jack
Awesome vids as always Byron, would love to see more tournament fishing vids. I would love to have a dedicated 6lb fluorocarbon straight through rig for rolling crank baits across the flats, which is my second favourite way to fish for bream second to surface fishing!
Nice one Byron. I just got me the 2500 Shimano Nexave on my ultra-light atomic arrowz. I’m loving it. But the Nasci would be a nice upgrade. I’d probably run a 6lb braid with a 6lb fc rock leader and play around with some lighter hard bodies and surface lures. Keep the content coming mate.
I’ve only got 2 sessions in on it so far but so far so good. I got 2 kids under 3 so it’s hard to find the time to fish let alone justifying buying decent gear. I’ve always just run the siennas on my flick rods and replaced them as required. I am really enjoying having a lighter more sensitive set up capable of throwing lighter plastics and lures though.
Been eyeing the new Nasci off since they arrived, so thanks for the review - very helpful as always! Would love a 1000 size model and would spool it up with 6lb braid, giving me a great setup for bream and the occasional flattie that comes along. Cheers Byron :-)
Another great vid Byron. The next few on to T curve will be interesting. Love the nasci, definitely 6lb j braid with 6lb leader for the bream. It will handle anything that lake mac throws at us. Well done.
Byron I watch videos every week and I love them I also like the the Silver metallic looks on the reel I think I would put 8 lb braid and 8lb leader as an all-rounder thx love the vid
Informative vid as always mate. Great to see the reviews of Shimano reels even though i am a bit of a daiwa fanboy. My mate recently bought a new 7'4" t curve rod and matched it with a stradic. i fished it for about minutes and was very impressed with it , the casting distance that i achieved with it was very impressive. I'm not sure if it was the rod or reel that was giving the advantage but the long stroke spool is something that shimano has done well. Im yet to watch the sustain review but in my opinion its the spool on the stradic that was getting the extra metres of casting distance.
Siick Vids Bryon!! 🔥🔥🔥 luving ur vids bro especially your editing 🤯 For the Nasci I will use a 1000 size paired with 6lb J-BRAID connected to 5lb Yamatoyo FC for chasing those stonka breams 🎣
Hey Byron love the style and setup of your vids thinking of getting a 5000 soon well see but I would put 6 pound braid with 6-10 pound braid depending on the target species. Thanks
Hi Byron, thanks for the great content as always. As I've been getting into finesse fishing a bit more, I'd love to try a straight through fluorocarbon setup in 4lb and throw it on an ultra light rod and go bream hunting. Looking forward to the upcoming reviews you've got in the pipeline! PS. The video volume issue seems to be addressed and this video isn't as soft as the others anymore. 👌🏽
I’m very much an amateur on inland freshwater fishing (I live a couple hours from the ocean) but I’d reckon I’d try. 4 pound braid and try a couple mountain creeks to see what’s out there. Great video mate. Love your channel. Cheers
So Byron Happy New Year mate! I’d be using the reel with a braided line of maybe 8lb and leader mono 4lb. I was really excited that you brought up in the comparisons context between reels, the Daiwa Freams of which I now have one of my own. I’ve loaded it with some light braided line and 4lb leader and getting some good casting with it on a flat hunting Whiting, which I have previously covered with you-Thanks for the tips. I’ve found the reel to be seamless, unlike my Legalis which is getting clunky on rotation of handle. Still O.K. though. So still haven’t bagged a legal Whiting, plenty hits just not hooking up, reckon I’m unlucky. I’ve applied assist hooks to my Cranka minnows of which I like Clear Ghost in early morn. Love those lures at least they’ve caught me!!
So hired a boat for a morning fish at Walis Lake Forster with a light outfit and a Mad Eyes baitprawn profile in light, soft natural pink and didn’t I come back with a 52cm Flathead, finally got one! Very happy!!!
Great vid Byron, I was in two minds about purchasing one of these reels but I think this video has undoubtedly changed my mind, I would spool it up with some 8lb kairiki braid as it’s nice and thin and doesn’t get knotted up
Hey mate awesome content again I always get a lot of useful information out of your videos! In regards to spooling it up I would put some 6lb braid with 10lb mono leader for some small creek bass fishing! It would be a perfect reel to not be too worried about while bush bashing instead of using my higher end reels. Cheers
Great video with lots of information. I’d spool the Nasci with 8lb j-braid and keep it to fresh water because of it having very limited saltwater protection.
Loving the content mate 👌 I’d be spooling this reel up with 8lb tasline running anywhere from 4lb-8lb leader 💯 for chasing bream in Metro and creeks around Adelaide 🎉 cheers
Excellent review, Byron! For this Lil boy 1000 size, I’d pair it with the 6lb braid and 8lb FC to target coral trout and tiny snapper in my region. And thanks for this review and also a great giveaway.
Recent subscriber to the channel and very impressed with the information and your enthusiasm. Keep up the great work 👍. Would pair this reel with 6lb braid and 6lb fc and use it whilst fishing out of my kayak.
I reckon I would most likely put 6 lb jbraid grand on it.. I’ve already got a 2500 legal as with 8lb for more allround. I reckon this would be a more finesse real for me...... keep up the vids Byron.. keen for the new NZ episode
Awesome review man, living the content. But if I had the reel I’d love to make it my light reel for plastics, run some 4lb braid and then I could finally get into some bream when I get away to the salt. Looks like great reel for that kinda stuff.
Awesome I have been looking at the Nasci and so helpful to have a in depth idea on its performance. I have been looking at a super light outfit and would run the nasci with 4lb straight through flurocarbon!! Nice work Byron.
Another good one Byron - I am in the market for a 1000 size reel / lightweight rod and as I am a bit of a Shimano fan boy this will fill the bill nicely. Target for Bream and Bass - would use 8 lb Braid and FC leader. OMG where will I fit all this stuff!
Great review Byron. I actually bought the same one a few weeks ago, and glad I did so. Can’t fault it for its price point! And I’d chuck on some 6lb 8x platypus braid on it!
Sick vid Byron! Keep it up!! I would be throwing some tasline in the 12lbs straight on that nasci cause of how thin it is and the great coating that gives it its mad castability so perfect for a 1k!
Great review and insights! I love the design of the reel. I would put 4lb straight fluro on this and use it as a reel for a my crank bait set up. Keep up the great work mate!
Hey Byron Another informative video as usual , i would spool it with 6 pound braid and 6 poound fc leader i think it would make a really nice Bream outfit
Hi Byron, I’m a bit of a tackle rat, so I really like types of videos. Keep them coming! As far as braid is concerned, I’ve recently discovered Owner Kizuna. I’ve put it on a couple of reels and really like it’s smoothness. I’d a go for 6lb braid/leader combo for versatility. Speaking of gear reviews, I’d love to see you do a review of the Shimano Poison Adrena rods. I recently went to buy a Zodias rod to match with a Vanford reel and wound up walking out with a Poison Adrena. It’s twice the price, I just loved the way it felt in my hand, even more than the T-Curve Premium.
hahaha, you get involved in all the tackle talk! I havent tried the Kizuna mate but sounds good. I haven't used the Poison Adrena's I know you've mentioned them before on a video. You like them?
@@ByronTeaHill it seems that you're paying attention! 😀 I'd say the Poison Adrena is one of my favourite rods right now. It's very crisp and reels great in the hand. I have the medium heavy (4-12lb) version which I use to flick 70mm soft vibes around and it's caught me some good fish, including a jurassic park style 50cm whiting! You're probably reading between the lines and have already worked out the reason I'm pushing it so hard is I'm hoping you'll do a giveaway so I can win another one! 😂 Anyhow, keep up the good work.
Great review Byron. I'd be using this reel on a finesse outfit, probably throwing hard bodies or even surfaces lure. I reckon something along the lines of 8lb would go nicely on it. Great vids mate. Just subscribed.
I have a nasci fb in 5000 size and love it. I wanted a smaller one when I got it but went to the 5k for the carbon drag. I recently purchased a Shimano raider dash 4ft rod, it would match up nice with the new 1000 nasci. Unlike most of the comments, I would load it with 12 or 14Ib braid, decent leader fluro. I will use it for skippy in shore and chopper tailor from the kayak
Nice review mate, that Nasci 1000 jas bream and Whiting on the flats written all over it for me. I have the older Nasci 2500 and can't fault it. Would spool the 1000 up with 6lb jbraid and run a 4lb FC leader when cranking for bream and a 6-8lb Mono leader when chasing Whiting off the surface 🎣🤙
Great vid Byron. I would pair the 1000 Nasci with 8lb Pandora Nomad and 6lb FC Rock confident that it would smash those bigger bream and flathead. Keep up the fantastic vids
Yet another great video, great info and as always, unbiased review, personally I’m not a fan of braid on 1000 size reels having that smaller diameter of the spool can give issues with wind knots etc so personally I’d spool it up with 2-3lb fluoro for skinny water fishing for trout
Woah, the reel looks and sounds so much better than the outgoing model 👌 if I was personally going to set this reel up, would definitely spool it with 6lb braid to a 4lb fluorocarbon leader and use it as my bream/bass reel. I have a few plastics that I need to give a proper go with but just don't have the right setup currently so this reel I'd pair with a 1-4kg ultralight for a little bit of fun 👌 tight lines bud 🤙😎
Great review Byron, like always jam packed with information and well worth the watch. I’d chuck 6lb braid on the 1000 Nasci with a 4lb fluorocarbon leader as my main preference.👌
Hey Byron, love the great quality, honest and exciting videos. I would put 8lb Jbraid grand so I could target all the estuary species. And I would pair this reel with a TD Hyper.
Great video again! Would be great fit for my kayak around lake mac! For the 1000 I think i would go for 8lb J braid, some Berkley Fluro and a match it with a 1-3kg rod (would love some recommendations on the best value light rod too)
Awesome Video as always. I would probably put 8lb braid on it and the leader would be between 6-12lb. i would use it as a allrounder, for dam bass, pontoon bream, deep water bream, flats, and creek bass. keep the vids coming CJ
@@ByronTeaHill when ever you upload the vids it makes me happy so keep them coming. the quality is super good. and it is really like watching a doco. cant wait to see the bass tournaments in the future!!
The 1000 size with the shorter line retrieval would help me with the hardbodies. I’d be using 6lb braid with 4-6lb leader on this guy. Thanks again Byron.
Another excellent video and fishing reel review Byron. I'm in favor of spooling the 1000 Nasci with 4lb J braid and 4lb FC Rock leader. It would be the perfect reel for targeting whiting on surface lures paired with my 1-3kg rod.
Thanks for the review! Would look beautiful on my new atomic arrowz rod I got for Christmas would load it with some 7lb gosen braid haven’t used gosen before usually use J braid but have heard good stuff about gosen and want to give it a try. Also would you recommend the nasci or daiwa freams in the 3000?
Some pretty convenient timing there, I was already weighing up getting a new combo with a Nasci to replace my $100 BCF special combo that is just waaaaay too heavy for what I fish. I grew up in a desert and had no idea what any of the numbers meant at the time, don't judge me lol. I subsequently found out how hard it is to cast 1/12 jig heads with a 6ft 3-5kg rod and a 4000 reel with 20lb braid. I'd spool up the Nasci with 6lb braid, and leader probably 4-6lb for fishing the local lakes.
Awesome videos mate. Helped me in choosing equipment and inspired me to do a non boater ABT bream round this year. Actually two hawkesbury and tweed. So pumped for it. That little Nasci would be insane with straight through 3lb J thread finesse on a 1-3kg rod. Keep up the great videos 🎣👍😎
Hey mate, love your videos, you’re absolutely killing at the moment with your level of content, love your work! In regards to what I’d spool a 1000 size Nasci with it’d be 6lb j-braid in green or chartreuse and 4lb fc rock leader to go chase some bream and Redfin in freshwater.
Thinking about doing a LIVE on the water review soon, thoughts?
great idea, with the nasci or another product?
Has to be done! Give me all the fishing content you can manage 🤪
definitely that would ba awsome
Good idea
Maybe your new trolling motor would be a good candidate for a live review in the field ?
I know this is late but you really do make the best reviews. I have a Hobie Compass thanks to you. Your enthusiasm is contagious. I can tell you love what you do and you are the best.
No boring part in this video, that the best part, lover ur reviews. I would put from 6-8lb braid, might also get one for myself
Just recently found your channel and am appreciating the effort and quality of your content. Shame it took the algorithms so long to suggest your vids!! If I were to get the 1000 nasci I would load it up with 4lb spinning flouro.

I felt the freams and it was very nice. I didn't end up getting one so I couldn't tell you how the handle fish but with out pressure they are nice
Well done again Byron, love your review. I have never owned a 1000 reel, 2000 has always been my smallest tool in my cache. If I am lucky enough to win the Nasci I would load it up with 6lb J Braid and 8lb mono.

Hey mate, thanks for the helpful review. I’d load it with 8lb braid and 6lb fluro to chase Bream in the Swan river
Good points made here mate. Good vid. Thanks for your time answering questions on your live feed the other day. 👍
My pleasure Brice! That’s the idea of the livestream, thinking I may do it again sometime

Sweet combo buddy! Entered and thanks for commenting dude
Hello, Nice review. I love the New Nasci Range. i would 100% stick 8lb tasline braid on this reel. Thanks for the game !! Cheeeeeers !!
Yup, surface is definitely the way to go mate! No 1 in my books also
Nice one Byron.
Mate what do you think of the Nexave? Keen to get my hands on one to try!
Hey Byron
Great review.
If I was fortunate enough to be selected I’d pair this with my Daiwa Infeet rod with 6lb braid as my finesse rig.
Cheers
Mat
Been eyeing the new Nasci off since they arrived, so thanks for the review - very helpful as always! Would love a 1000 size model and would spool it up with 6lb braid, giving me a great setup for bream and the occasional flattie that comes along. Cheers Byron :-)
Another great vid Byron. The next few on to T curve will be interesting. Love the nasci, definitely 6lb j braid with 6lb leader for the bream. It will handle anything that lake mac throws at us. Well done.
Everything except for Bruce! Is he still hanging in the lake?
Yep, still around Pulbah
Byron I watch videos every week and I love them I also like the the Silver metallic looks on the reel I think I would put 8 lb braid and 8lb leader as an all-rounder thx love the vid
Hey Xavier, thanks mate! I’ve definitely seen you comment before! Glad you liked it mate
Thanks Byron, as I’ve never used a reel smaller than 2500, I’d spool it up with another 1st and fill it with 6lb FC
Hey legend! Yeah the sustain is performing really well.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts bud really appreciate the comment.
Siick Vids Bryon!! 🔥🔥🔥 luving ur vids bro especially your editing 🤯
For the Nasci I will use a 1000 size paired with 6lb J-BRAID connected to 5lb Yamatoyo FC for chasing those stonka breams 🎣
Great vid mate. I'd put 6lb braid and 6lb leader. Can't wait for next week's vid 👍
Cheers
Thanks Stephen! Thanks for getting involved mate
Glad to hear mate, I like those minnows and they still sit in my tackle box.
Great to hear about the freams also… not so much the legalis!!!
So hired a boat for a morning fish at Walis Lake Forster with a light outfit and a Mad Eyes baitprawn profile in light, soft natural pink and didn’t I come back with a 52cm Flathead, finally got one! Very happy!!!
Great vid Byron, I was in two minds about purchasing one of these reels but I think this video has undoubtedly changed my mind, I would spool it up with some 8lb kairiki braid as it’s nice and thin and doesn’t get knotted up
Mate it’s a great value for money reel. Quite affordable
Hey mate awesome content again I always get a lot of useful information out of your videos! In regards to spooling it up I would put some 6lb braid with 10lb mono leader for some small creek bass fishing! It would be a perfect reel to not be too worried about while bush bashing instead of using my higher end reels. Cheers
Great review I bought one last December to pair with a atomic bream crank. Not much of a bream fisho but it seems good for slow rolling cranks.
Great video with lots of information. I’d spool the Nasci with 8lb j-braid and keep it to fresh water because of it having very limited saltwater protection.
Awesome Anthony! Appreciate you getting involved dude
Probably spool mine up with some 8lb braid and set it up for my young fella, another good review mate
🤙 Legend
Hey Byron! Great video as always! I'd put on 8lb braid and 8lb fc leader! Good all rounder I think ✌
Loving the content mate 👌 I’d be spooling this reel up with 8lb tasline running anywhere from 4lb-8lb leader 💯 for chasing bream in Metro and creeks around Adelaide 🎉 cheers
Great video, there's a gold mine of info in here. I just got the 4000XG, can't wait to test it out.
Excellent review, Byron!
For this Lil boy 1000 size, I’d pair it with the 6lb braid and 8lb FC to target coral trout and tiny snapper in my region. And thanks for this review and also a great giveaway.
Thanks Eddie
Hey byron, happy new year mate. I would go with 6lb braid with 4 or 6lb leader targeting bream. Love the look of the reel. Cheers mate.
Thanks dude!
Cheers buddy! Thanks for supporting the channel charlie.
Awesome I have been looking at the Nasci and so helpful to have a in depth idea on its performance. I have been looking at a super light outfit and would run the nasci with 4lb straight through flurocarbon!! Nice work Byron.
Hey mate, great video, love all the information about the reel, I would run 3 pound power pro
Love the review. Been looking into to getting the 1000 pair with izorlinexxx mono 4lb. To slay them crappies. Bluegill trouts.
Another good one Byron - I am in the market for a 1000 size reel / lightweight rod and as I am a bit of a Shimano fan boy this will fill the bill nicely. Target for Bream and Bass - would use 8 lb Braid and FC leader. OMG where will I fit all this stuff!
Hahahaha! Every fishos problem legend. More gear!!!
Awesome and honest reviews Byron, would love to spool some 10lb braid and 14lb leader to catch some big calis
Hi, I was wondering if you could do a review on the stradic fl? Thanks!
Hi Byron, loved the review as always. I would probably spool the nasci with 6 lb braid and target some local metro Adelaide bream and whiting! Cheers!
Thanks Daniel! Any chance you had a relative named Chris?
@@ByronTeaHill Yes, do you know of him?
@@danieljaensch9263 if it’s the same man, we flew together and did a rotation in the Middle East together.
Great review Byron. I actually bought the same one a few weeks ago, and glad I did so. Can’t fault it for its price point!
And I’d chuck on some 6lb 8x platypus braid on it!
Nice reel mate. I have also now nasci 1000. Fish on
awww yeahh!
Sick vid Byron! Keep it up!! I would be throwing some tasline in the 12lbs straight on that nasci cause of how thin it is and the great coating that gives it its mad castability so perfect for a 1k!
Sounds like you’re a lover of TASLINE!!!! Cheers buddy
Hey Byron. Nice review. This would make a nice upgrade to my Sedona 1000. I’d chuck on some 6lb Nomad Panderra, and some Sunline 4lb or 6lb leader.
Great review and insights! I love the design of the reel. I would put 4lb straight fluro on this and use it as a reel for a my crank bait set up. Keep up the great work mate!
Thanks dude will do, appreciate you watching
Hey Byron Another informative video as usual , i would spool it with 6 pound braid and 6 poound fc leader i think it would make a really nice Bream outfit
I think so too Hope! Thanks for commenting and watching!!!!
Anyhow, keep up the good work.
Great review Byron.
I'd be using this reel on a finesse outfit, probably throwing hard bodies or even surfaces lure. I reckon something along the lines of 8lb would go nicely on it.
Great vids mate. Just subscribed.
Cheers Darren welcome to the channel! I hope it brings you some benefit in your fishing experience dude!
Thanks for those thoughts mate! Always keen to hear a different point of view
Loved the video! I would spool the 1000 nasci with 4lb Grand jbraid because it would be great to have a lighter setup in my arsenal
Cheers Zac, thanks for coming back again dude!
Hey mate just recently found the channel and I am loving it I think for me I would run 6lb.Keep up the good work👍
Nice vid again mate, I would say I’d run 6-10lb depending on the brand of braid. Seems like a quality budget friendly reel.
Love your work! Spooled with 4lb fluorocarbon for me.
Awesome Evan!
Great vid as always Byron 🤙 On a 1000 Nasci I’d probably put on 6lb J braid with 4lb sunline fc for whiting, bream and ep.
Hey Byron, love the great quality, honest and exciting videos. I would put 8lb Jbraid grand so I could target all the estuary species. And I would pair this reel with a TD Hyper.
And I would like it in a 2500 size. Love the vids always checking if you have uploaded another. yewww keep slaying
welldone again Byron - I would put 8lb braid and 4 - 6 ib leader depending on where fishing and bite
Cheers Alex! Thanks for supporting the channel mate
Great video again! Would be great fit for my kayak around lake mac!
For the 1000 I think i would go for 8lb J braid, some Berkley Fluro and a match it with a 1-3kg rod (would love some recommendations on the best value light rod too)
Great review once again Byron. I'd throw some 6lb braid with a 6-8lb leader on that 1000 Nasci. Definitely prefer the new colour scheme.
Awesome Video as always. I would probably put 8lb braid on it and the leader would be between 6-12lb. i would use it as a allrounder, for dam bass, pontoon bream, deep water bream, flats, and creek bass.
keep the vids coming
CJ
Hey CJ!!! Mate every time you comment it makes me happy, thanks for being consistent on every video bud. Absolute legend!
Nah dude thank you! You’re a legend week in and week out.
You’re right though, more finesse, I should have covered that more!
Great video mate, I would put 6lb braid with 3 pound leader to throw cranks and topwater over flats for some bream.
Cheers Connor!
Hey Byron , great video mate
I would use 6 pound j- braid and 5 pound j-thread as a leader. For the bream and perch around the river I fish.
Awesome Oliver! Cheers mate
Another excellent video and fishing reel review Byron.
I'm in favor of spooling the 1000 Nasci with 4lb J braid and 4lb FC Rock leader.
It would be the perfect reel for targeting whiting on surface lures paired with my 1-3kg rod.
Mate such a nice thing to say Archie! Appreciate you getting involved here mate
6lb braid with 6lb fluoro leader for sure! Love the videos mate 😁
Cheers Brett
Awesome man, glad to help with the info!
Dude. That’s a pretty nice comment right there! Thanks man
