I’m impressed at how you keep going when you have to redo things so many times because something doesn’t quite work. It would be easy to get discouraged but I’m glad you are sticking with it and not compromising on getting it done right. Loving this build and can’t wait till the next episode.
Really enjoying watching your progress. Coming together well! The IFS truck boxes work well and will move those tires fine with the hydro assist. The one vulnerability is force kicking back to the box from the tires. With beefy tie rod/draglink a lot of force can be pushed back into the lengthened pitman. I crawl with 37s on a Taco and over the years have twisted splines on these boxes twice from trails hits.
Hey Austin, I love the content. I don’t want to burst your bubble, but with the knowledge I have working in a fab shop and also being a shock builder 16” coilovers are way to much for the front. You are going to bind up your steering and drive line probably between 12”-14” of useable wheel travel. In my opinion I would run a shorter shock and use the whole shock stroke. Keep up the good work! -Zach
Hi Austin, I have a problem removing the crankshaft bolt from the ALH engine using a milwaukee gun, pretty strong one.. any tricks or tips you can give me to remove this darn thing?
You are an artist.
