Love the build series! I work for a local welding supply in your area. Next time you need something like a torch or consumables, get ahold of me and I'll see what I can do for you.
Sweet! Where do you work?
@@austinniemela A-L compressed gases. Close to SCC.
No way! That's who I use for my welding gas! I was just in there!
Excelentes videos, aunque no entiendo algunas cosas que dices, pero si entiendo todo lo qué haces.
I do any drilling in any kind of block and tag power steering box stuff like that anything that’s gonna make metal shavings all over the place I use Vaseline of grease and that usually keeps all the metal shavings off with in the grease and the Vaseline just a tip Good video keep up the good work can’t wait to see your next one and thank you and God bless.
👍Nice work And i Love watching this series
you can get the balls back in the steering box, but it is a pain.
Yeah I didn’t want to try that out haha
@@austinniemela It was good you warned everyone!
Love watching this series, can’t wait to see this one driving!
Espectacular, motivas a swvuir viendo y esperando los videos
Impressive build , just like everyone else can’t wait to see it completed ,
Awesome video. amazing craftmanship as always! not only is Steel-it weld-through and durable, I have had zero flashing with it, painting in a really hot dry climate. So the finish always looks great too. It is fantastic.... and really expensive. But for frame work (where you might weld again someday? ) and small stuff, I have found no better product.
i wish i could understand more of this stuff xD, when are you gonna paint it? XD
What year and model toyota that gear box come off of? Looks identical to the one I'm using on a tacoma build but we have no info on it to buy the lines that goto the ps pump. Any info would help thanks!!
Would it not have been easier to just use the steering box from an 80 series?
Dude bro. You had the WD-40 sitting right there bro. And yet you went out of you're way to use brake clean for tapping holes? You must really hate your taps? And again with the WD-40 sitting right there, you used Windex to install your seals? Grats on getting this all done, it look nice, but wow bro, it hurts us 🤣
I cleaned the threaded holes with brake clean!
Wow man, how have I never seen your page?
man, you're a monster, you're just a crazy giant in building this FJ40, I'm rooting for you to the last. I'm looking forward to the finale. Good luck with the construction
Keep up the good work man
It’s not weld through but I always use epoxy appliance paint.
Does the epoxy appliance paint hold up to fuel/oil getting on it? Also how does it hold up to being in the sun/weather and what brand do you use?
@@smashedfootlefty4726 can’t answer fully on fuel and oil , I painted PS pumps / roll cages / accent pieces. It’s held up fairly well , it’s a hard paint. Rust oleum - Walmart is where I get it
Ok, I'll have to give it a whirl then, to broke to afford the $$$teelit... :( Thanks for the info!@@ReDDaWn556
Hey I have a question. Why did you have to drill through the actual steering box for the fittings rather than putting a tee on the actual lines that go in and out of the box?
😢🇱🇾
Wow, this is coming along nicely. When I saw paint come out👀👀👀
Toyota box will turn 40’s till the end of time
Will you maintain that @sweetpatina on the body? Sweet Yota 🤙🏼
Bro, keep it up. You really are a true fabricator. Take smaller and cheaper projects.
Very intricate
Sick. Might have to try a can of that spray paint on my 4runner
Very informative videos thank you
Hello, how many turns of the steering wheel from left to right
if you need an apprentice .. here I am
Thing is flying together good shidd mart
I'm surprised you spray bombed those brackets instead of powder coating them.
That's steel-it, an amazing paint!
What brand and where did you get that sander, I need one.
nice job. cant wait to see this thing finished!
Music is really good
Awesome video!
😎👍🏼🔥💯🍺
The best thing I ever did for my Hilux was a Painless kit.
Nice! How was it to set up?
@@austinniemela easy peasy. Only tricky part was making everything work with the factory gauges and custom wiring delay wipers using the old Hilux wiper motor. Other than that it's paint by numbers - especially if you're doing an LS harness and updating all the switches. Just time consuming making everything look pretty.
@@Olds77421 sweet!! Wiring is not my favorite thing, hoping this harness helps!! I’m doing all new switches and aftermarket cluster
@@austinniemela @austinniemela having seen your other videos I don't think it'll give you much trouble - especially with aftermarket guages and switches! Hardest part will probably be routing everything cleanly.
PS - your headlight video on the Hilux is what convinced me to install a Painless kit begin with! The factory wiring on my 76 couldn't have kept up with the accessories and mods I was doing, but that weird ground situation is what sealed the deal. Keep the cool builds coming!
First!
Looking sweeeeet! What diameter ram are you using?
These are 17” on 40” tires
Sorry should've said steering ram... Whats the diameter of the Steering assist ram from PRC you are using? I've been seeing a couple people try the smaller 1" ram instead of the 1.5" or 2" rams so they work more consistently because the 1" uses less volume of fluid than the bigger ones do. @@austinniemela
Can't wait to see the final result 👌👌👌🤌🤌🤌🤜🤜🤜🤛🤛🤛
