Beverly really helped when I got nauseous after mission space.
Carol Paterson that makes sense in that it’s carbonated, and not a “sickeningly sweet” syrup - I can see how it’d have rather a “ginger ale” soothing type effect on a stomach and body that’s just been through a gravity force motion simulator (or, really, any other reason you might try a carbonated beverage not strong sour/berry flavored to sooth a sick or sour stomach). It’s too bad that all the “international sodas” will be gone with re-opening :(. I had hoped that they were going to re-work them/some form of international soda house into the plans for all the reconstruction, (I do see how guests at soda fountains is a safety risk not needed at the current time) but it’s sad that Beverly - and all her friends- are totally an experience of the past now.

Ever since quarantine my sister had been sneaking into the fridge and dying the milk blue and I'm at least thankful Disney didn't go for THAT method lol

Yeah, I'm weird about eating after people. I love my family more than anything, but sharing a kitchen sink sundae with them grosses me out lol. The idea of hovering over that hulking, melting, sticky mess with 4 different spoons and 4 different mouths is kinda....blech. I'll stick to my own cone. 😆🍦

I have heard them called the sensational six when Daisy is added. However, she is the newest character chronically of the six.
We had to seek her out at Animal Kingdom because my kindergarten at the time son was very upset she was left out of cheif Mickey's.
They are the original fab 5; that’s how they’re known as Daisy wasn’t originally part of the crew.

I live in Atlanta which is the home of Coca-Cola. We have a World Coke museum and a larger tasting room. So the Beverly is also a part of our culture and we love telling tourists to try it 😂😂😂
Tbh I'm not going to waste money or calories on bad food when there is so much good food to eat at Disney

My family hated the blue & green milk. I didn’t HATE them but thought they were better if you mixed them together. Not great though
Blue milk is so good it tastes just like ramune the Japanese soda but in blended form
I once went to crystal palace and there was only like 3 other family’s there so it was amazing and we got to see the characters multiple times!

Happened to me too! If you go pretty much between meals, like my family went right at the end of breakfast and I got a mix of breakfast and lunch and got to see the characters a lot!
We had this when we went for a late lunch but before the dinner rush! The characters came round so many times
What I love about Disney is that they have so many different varieties. Food for the daredevils and food for the less daring people. There is something for everyone. Great video Aj!!! 👍❤️
I agree that buffets are usually not spectacular, except for Tusker House. That being said, family style, which kinda is like a buffet, is awesome at Garden Grill!

I completely agree with your list, AJ! Dare I add, Be Our Guest? We went in February knowing it had mixed review but it was a bucket list item. Food was so-so and the seating was so crammed.
I agree with you on that. Be Our Guest was not good. Though I did enjoy seeing inside.
I had a great time at Be Our Guest back in 2016. Had the ratatouille and a glass of rosé and one of the desserts cant remember which. It was for lunch and I was more irritated at the poor lighting than anything else.
Cinderella's Royal Table was great! We took my mom for her 70th birthday and the food was delicious, I had a steak salad as my entree and I couldn't finish it. The food portions were huge, coupled with the fact that you get an appetizer and dessert it was plenty of food. We didn't feel rushed at all and our server was absolutely the best, the character interaction was so much fun. Definitely worth it for a special occasion

i had the beverly’s revenge in december and it was like cherry or something, not blood orange
I went to CRT for my 30th bday, ate around 8pm and it was one of the BEST meals we'd ever had! Will definitely take our daughter there when we go back
All the talk about Royal Table and I remember that on one of our trips in the past we walked up to the the Royal Table reservations desk one morning and made a lunch reservation for THAT day at around 1:30 pm. This was all before they had the online ADR. You had phone booths in the front of the park entrances where you called a Reservation Cast Member to make your dining reservations. I agree, Cinderella's Castle is a once and done event. Same for Crystal Palace (been there done that). This upcoming trip for us in October will be all ADR at locations we NEVER ate at before -- except California Grill -- but their menu will be different and there's fireworks!!

I have heard several times that buffets are going the way of the dodo because of the pandemic, so what will happen to the buffets like Chef Mickey if they have to get rid of the method?
I'm guessing a lot of red-coloured food makes it onto the "don't bother at all" list?
The most common red food dye has a horrible aftertaste that some people can taste and others can't.

idk about y'all but the blue milk was the perfect little slushie to cool me off on a hot summer's day.
I am no stranger to enjoying Scotch whisky, which why I was looking forward to trying the “Smoking Mirror” at Artist’s Point. I was an overwhelming experience... like consuming a liquid ashtray! My family sitting on the far side of my table could smell my drink! SMELL! At least they didn’t get to drink it! Hands down this is the single worst thing I have ever consumed on my trips to WDW!

OHHH THE KITCHEN SINK SUNDAE!!!!!! The time I went to Disney I had brought three years of allowance and didn’t have enough to buy one, but my grandma gave me some money and I shared it with my brother, my grandparents, and my parents... it’s one of my favorite memories!! I still keep the bowl around for cereal!!! :D

CRT's food was excellent and the portion size was fine if you aren't obese. Also paying ahead of time makes the bill at the end completely stress-free. Their chocolate mousse was my favorite on property, and they have delicious French beer served with orange slices. Throw in the princesses and atmosphere, and it's my favorite Disney restaurant easily. Not sure why all the hate from UA-camrs.
My husband tricked me into trying Beverly back in 2016. I was mad at him for like an hour 😂

Smell is a big part of the taste.
I know I’ve accidentally gotten perfume in my mouth...but also as mentioned above, smell is a pretty significant part of our sense of taste.
Robyn Ballew true, but perfume - unlike grass- is one thing that consistently refuses to taste anything like it smells! It’s very beguiling! :)

I haven’t met anyone that dislikes blue milk. At Disneyland my husband walks all the way to Galaxy’s Edge just for the blue milk and a Ronto Roaster. I’ve met many people who dislike green milk, but blue milk is amazing!

I’ve never been to disney but I’ve wanted to since I can remember, I’ve watched every video known to man and I could probably navigate my way around magic kingdom without ever being there. I always watch these videos because when I eventually do go, it’s going to be so perfect and I’m so excited for whenever it will be🥺☺️☺️
On my October trip we did heaps of character buffets; Crystal Palace, Tusker House and Hollywood and Vine. It was our first trip and we wanted to meet a lot of characters without having to use fast passes/line up. It was a GREAT idea. We found the food to be pretty good (esp Crystal Palace breakfast and Tusker House lunch) and great value on the dining plan - especially when you factor in an alcoholic beverage. I would recommend all 3. We also did Crystal Palace and BOG dinner (it was a bucket list first trip) and 100% BOG dinner beats Crystal Palace
I love Beverly. Sometimes it’s nice to have bitter instead of sweet.
I ate dinner at CRT several years ago when the only character meal there was breakfast. I really enjoyed myself and the atmosphere was so much more relaxed without the character experience (you could get your pic with and meet Cinderella on the way in). I also remember the meal being pretty good.
Great tips! Also I actually really loved the Blue milk, so did my group, though we did not enjoy the green milk as much. But I can see how it is definitely not for everyone :)
Tusker House has an Excellent buffet, quality-wise...it’s just HELLISHLY EXPENSIVE but the Big 5 characters all have their EXCELLENT safari outfits also, so the pictures are top notch

I would add Be Our Guest to this list. And don’t go at lunch time!!! I was so disappointed! It felt like we were at a hybrid McDonalds-cafeteria and our food was probably the worst we had in the entire park, aside from the gray stuff.

When we went to Disney, my parents were able to reserve Cinderella’s Royal Table and it was freaking magical. It was 10 years ago and I still remember how happy I was with all the princesses walking around
My adult daughter and I went to Cinderella's Royal Table in Feb 2020 for our inaugural dinner. We enjoyed it immensely. It was a castle projections package with special viewing, a dessert party, souvenirs, and party favors for $125 per person. I would have enjoyed the dinner experience alone as the food and service were terrific, and the princess meet and greet was both sweet and special. The portrait with Cinderella and Prince Charming is unlikely to ever be repeated. We had a complimentary glass of champagne, filet mignon, and scallops as an appetizer. The food was some of the best I've EVER had. I would go back; with the right dining companions-in my case, adult nieces, sister-in-laws, and great nieces at least 8 or 10 years old. Don't spend the money on the Bibbity Bobbity Boo package and the dinner unless the participants appreciate the true specialness of the occasion. It is also expensive to convey a monetary value that would be (or should be) a true privilege. Like a dinner at Albert and Victoria's or even California Grill, quantity can often tarnish the magic. My parents could have never done this for my sister and me, let alone multiple times, but I have cherished memories of vacations we did have. I am happy to be able to have the chance as an adult, after multiple trips to WDW and Disneyland

The hot Cheeto dust really does add an extra layer of flavor!! (Although maybe not for cupcakes!) At DCA they’ve done a fiery Mac n cheese cone for Halloween with the hot Cheeto dust and a spicy cheese sauce.. YUM! Pair that with the pomegranate vodka limeade and it’s the best lunch 😍
You drink the blue milk just to do it...part of the experience vs actual refreshment or taste imo.

My friends and I ate at Cinderella's Royal Table last year in March, we actually really loved it! We had dinner while the fireworks went off over the castle, our server was awesome, I agree its pricey, but we actually enjoyed our dinner! The only thing I ordered that I didnt like was the cheesecake for dessert, it had a weird flavor I didnt care for much but I still ate it, overall we were happy with our experience! I probably wont do it again unless it's for another special reason though

My family has stayed their twice. We enjoyed it. They have great breakfast and pretty decent dinner service. Fun activities as well like movie night. And its still on Disney property. The only downside for me was that they stop serving dinner at the main restuaraunt early and my grandfather and grandmother never wanted to miss dinner if they didn't eat in the parks. So we always left the parks before fireworks. I went in 2014 and 2015 idk if its changed since then.
The pizza is really good, and make sure to not waste parking money on Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Just walk to the Polynesian and hop on the monorail there. It’s a great resort! I’ve been asking for a video for the past couple of years.
Shades of Green is a weird Disney resort, it revolves around the military and golf. I don't think either of those are things DFB knows much about...
If you guys got the buffet package, it's some of the best food I've eaten. The chefs there really do their best to make it great. Everyone there is super friendly and goes out of their way. The main entrance is GORGEOUS with a small waterfall inside the building. There is a gazebo area over a pond right between the buildings that are lit up beautifully at night. The only "downside" is how strict the buses are. I put that in quotes because it's a good thing obviously due to it being a military hotel, but it can cause major hold ups due to...entitled guests who aren't used to that sort of strictness. I don't think there was a single time I tried to get on the bus without watching an adult argue with the driver because her I.D. wasn't valid or something. SO KEEP YOUR I.D. ON YOU AT ALL TIMES. You'll have to show it a lot.
We stayed two years ago. It was very nice, would definitely book again if we aren't able to afford the resort we want. Check to make sure they've finally finished construction on the foot path to the Polynesian (it was closed for construction when we were there but surely it's done by now!), and remember that it's not a Disney resort so you won't get perks like theming, extended FastPass booking, etc. Also, if the military member in your group has PTSD or panic attacks triggered by fireworks, you can DEFINITELY hear the Magic Kingsom fireworks inside the rooms at Shades of Green, so look up those showtimes and be sure to have a way for your service member to block that sound!

I remember being at Disney World as a kid ( around 1972/73) and the food at Crystal Palace was disgusting then!! I have to say that overall, with the prices you pay at Disney, I can't believe they have the gall to allow ANY of their restaurants to provide anything less than fresh, tasty food to their guests.

Blue and green milk are actually the same drink in two different colors, it’s pina colata mix with food coloring, probably why it’s a little better than regular.
I did try the slush at Animal Kingdom Pandora with the boba balls. It was just ok

The plastic curse cheese looks like it might be heated velveeta. It would be cheap and easy to prepare, so it makes sense. Velveeta is considered a "cheese product", not actual cheese. Making a nacho cheese sauce is actually really easy and a lot healthier.
