Totally. I think one of my favorite things about this crew is that they have FUN. Yes it's competitive but it's so clear how much they enjoy each other's company and the whims of the dice. A lot of people don't have that when they play.
I am a relative new player to warhammer and your videos have been a big inspiration to start collecting the hobby. But todays video was superb for someone as new as me since you guys went and talk about each of your action in detail. It was great understanding the how and why of each move. Started this hobby 2 years ago and went for the Mechanicus. Just finished painting my last model today. I just might get Space Dwarfs next. Excited to see this match!

Give it two weeks for the preliminary "Clarifications" that makes some of the nutso stuff chill out, then a month for the point cost increases, then a month after that for all the drastic rule changes that render them an upper low tier imperium force.
It will take roughly 2-3 months after world release that there will be an FAQ or two. Probably 6 months from now we will see point changes and some Nerfs

I think there should be a couple damage tweaks (mass hammer stronk), but this looks quite fun. Space dwarves feel very space dwarf which is exactly what I would want
So something he forgot with the medpacks, you ignore the first damage you take each turn so he'd still have 2 extra hearthkyn plus he could have gotten d3 back with command points. Voltann does need a few nerds but I think they're close to being at a good spot opponents just need to realize they need to outmaneuver them and just line of sight the kahl more
Apparently 5 berserkers can kill a imperial knight. And the land fortress vehicle main gun can deal at best 10w or at worst 7w without stratagems or relics. I think this is going to be a very op army for months and then the nerf hammer will come.
To be fair, introducing a new faction will have that effect. Very easy fix, but this is GW we're talking about so we might not see that fix until 10th edition

@@mightbeapersonmaybe8379 Vanguard Tactics did Nids Vs Votann at 2k. It wasn't a laser optimised Votann list as it had no land fortresses or Hearthguard etc as the models arent out. The Leagues won but only by 7 points. It's also worth mentioning that the Nids came pretty close while being piloted by a guy who admitted at the start "I don't really have any knowledge of Nids so I had to do a lot of reading before this" and the guy playing Leagues was Stephen Box, who's one of the top players in the UK and has multiple GT wins under his belt. I think once people have played against LoV a bit counters will start to develop. They died pretty fast to the disgusting amounts of MWs that Tyranids can pump. If anything I think it said more about how terrifying Tyranids still are!
Love the helmet choices, unhelmeted space dwarves high key look bad, and like a totally not space marine, but when you throw that helmet on MMMMM ITS A DIFFERENT STORY! WONDERFUL BATREP!
eesh, thought the leagues were rather powerful already, but seeing them in action and the void no re-roll thing just seems a bit too much in my honest opinion. GW will likely nerf them a bit once enough models sell, hopefully just a small judgement change and nothing too game breaking.
To be fair they probably took the top tier army versus the lowest tier army. Cool thematically and lore wise of course, but the outcome was predictable.

@@Homer92 not to mention that the only lists for admech doing anything right now are veteran skitarii cohorts. Honestly the biggest thing to note was when the onager got wiped by small arms fire. Judgement tokens are stupidly strong and the auto resolve as a 6 is salt in the wound.
Cool stuff. I’m personally a little turned off Dwarves just because of how over powered they are feeling but this was a great video. Would love to see demons on the channel; particularly Khorne but any mono-god or the Army of Reknown would be pretty awesome

Withholding judgement until I see more gameplay. But my initial take is that they do seem overtuned. While they are slower their damage output with its consistency is just bonkers.

Although I'm familiar with Warhammer 40K and Games Workshop stuff in general, I've never actually even played this game (or the regular Warhammer or any other GW except for Blood Bowl many years back) and yet I still love watching these videos. Great job guys!

Feels like LoV are definitely too strong right now (basic troops rather easily taking down an Onager Dunecrawler, that's a red flag right there), but with a slight adjustment to their judgment tokens and that relic mass hammer (really cool hammer, but come on) they should be alright. Also, it feels like mortal wounds are too easily accessible to them. Otherwise, they're pretty cool I think.
Must also be said that if, instead of those Sydonian Dragoons Tak brought a pair of Ironstriders with autocannons, he may have done some considerable damage. As it was the Dragoons were little more than a weak meat(sorry AdMech, I mean machine) shield.
My strategy with the Sydonian Dragoons was to make it tough for the Votann to hit with the inherent minus to hit as the Votann ignore light cover so I don't get that buff. I also feel like IF I had made that first turn charge I could have Chain-taser Protocol'd and taken down the Hernkyn Pioneers and then consolidated and maybe even shut down the Hearthkyn Warriors ability to move and score in the back. While the Destroyers may seem like an odd choice the super charge to strength 8 means while I am hitting on 4s I am wounding on 2s. You cannot re-roll wounds against Void Armour so my hope was to increase the efficiency of wounding. The autocannons could only wound on 3s and no re-rolls.

And yeah if those dragoons had made the charge, it would've been a different game most likely! That's definitely a sound strategy you had going into it with the incense cloud. I think the charge would have been successful without the Bulwark Imperative, which makes it cool how one ability can change the face of the game. Keep up the awesome content!
The space dwarves look great, and its good to have another faction in the game, but by god they desperately need a nerf. They are comically strong at the moment (probably by design, i have no doubt GW will release a nerf to perfectly coincide with a drop off in sales)

That's because they are I think a 5 points per model increase on the troops and a 20% increase on the rest of the army will at least make them fairly costed
lets not pretend this codex is actually a "slam dunk" its a blatant cash grab by pumping out an insanely powerful codex in a hope to hyper push sales. this is disgusting behavior from GW. so many people were excited for this army to come out just for them to make another oppressive army that is going to be the bane of competitive and casual tables alike.

It very much seems like a trophy hunter faction, which is a bad matchup for an AdMech list that relies on a few big units

That's because they are I think a 5 points per model increase on the troops and a 20% increase on the rest of the army will at least make them fairly costed

lets not pretend this codex is actually a "slam dunk" its a blatant cash grab by pumping out an insanely powerful codex in a hope to hyper push sales. this is disgusting behavior from GW. so many people were excited for this army to come out just for them to make another oppressive army that is going to be the bane of competitive and casual tables alike.

Honestly I am not a fan of some of the Votann models, but I like their Symbol and the way these models were painted actually made them look better than what GW showed.
