I really love when Tycho does the voice over. He's definitely the most entertaining person on the channel, and does amazing battle descriptions that make the game more immersive. Nobody else comes close. And jt does a great job himself, just Tycho is the best
I love how pleasant Mubin's face is in the VS face off. Sport fighting and video games always have them mean mugging each other and Mubin is just chillin. He just is happy to be there.
Loved the gauntlet series, and as a fellow archon, always enjoy seeing JT bring out the dark kin! So happy to see a Tantalus on the table I would also love to see a gauntlet with a single list going through everyone, maybe with boons/battle scars for the list ? Always enjoy the content guys - Play On!
For me it was over from turn 1, I know theres serious comeback potential. But I just saw an insane advantage that the drukhari had over the thousand sons. Being able to get your melee units from one end of the board to another in one turn is also extremely good. JT played well, from beginning to finish mubin couldnt recover.
I'd love to see an Army Showcase for JT's Drukhari. They're not an army you see all that often, and JT's collection looks like it's got so much history and character. I'm a big fan of the Army Showcases in general - it's always inspiring to see collections that have had all that time and attention poured into them.
Should be a good fight, curious to see how the Pirate Elves handle Magnus. After seeing the new Daemon Index I can’t wait for your first 10th edition game.
Thank you for some 1k sons content, they are few and between on the channels I watch. I have only been playing since COVID (been following lore for decades) I chose Salamanders and thousand sons as my armies for lore (primarchs) rather than Meta and it is tough. My other guilty pleasures is iron warriors and Raven guard , thank god I didn't choose them, I don't think I have met anybody else that likes perturabo or corax lol and never seen them on the table
13:30 it isn't really 2 kills in melee. One was during the charge phase and not a melee weapon that killed the hellbrute "Each time an enemy unit is destroyed by a melee attack made by a model in your army, add 1 to your Blood and Guts tally."
Dunno if Play on tabletop has done this before but Thousand Sons Vs Space Wolves would be cool to see as its a narritive fight. Its also nice to see Thousand sons games as a Thousand Sons player. Would like to see different combos of daemon engines and the different cults

He is custom made from a warmonger warspear model, plasticard, a raider shockprow, plus bits from venoms and other inhabitants of my bits box. That model was made for 5th edition; so he's at least 15 years old now!

This is why when I play objective games witch is rarley, we to pick 3 secondaries. We like for the entire game. This game has enough randomness, and getting screwed on secondaries is just another aspect we don't need. but we also still use 7th edition blast markers and angled armor. some of the newer warhammer rules are just stupidly over complicated and random. i hope 10th edition cleans this game up but what ive seen so far from the previews it aint lookin great.
Was a little disappointing ngl to see TSons just lose 3 quarters of their army in 2 turns. Both players played fairly well other than being too aggressive both in deployment and with Magnus and Ahriman, but thee game was lost in list-building imo. Would've been nice to see TSons get literally anything in the dataslate but they only have to suck for a little bit longer until 10th rolls around. I do usually enjoy your content but seeing TSons get ragdolled in a game that looked fairly unwinnable was kinda disappointing.
When your opponent has a highly aggressive mobile army with also long range guns, I decided to leave it in the hands of the dice gods to let me go first. I'm sure JT will agree, if the Helbrutes, Magnus and the Terminators hit his front line first there would have been major carnage
@@MubinTalati I understand. You are one of my favorite players on 40k. I just feel with the strengh level of tsons currently, I would run a more aggressive list w/o the red man. Magnus always gets murdered once he is in range and some scarabs for equal points hit alot harder without the wow factor. I do wish magnus got some love.
@@tenshimusouka5820 well, that is stupid. I would simply turn the model on spot so enemy cant see. And on Tournament I would just snap off the parts. Model malfunction.
Actually, in 9th edition 40k, any model with 18 or more wounds or the aircraft keyword can always be targeted unless completely hidden by terrain. Typically that covers units like Imperial Knights, but both the Tantalus and Magnus are 18 wounds. Basically, theres no real way to hide the big giant killy stuff, and that's on purpose.

Didnt Tycho say Mubin started with 1 cp? How did he suddenly get more before the command phase? To use the risen strat?
I might be wrong be he could have spent the cp when mustering the army and they were already counted as spent when presenting.

I'm a little confused. I thought you only use AoO detachment/CP for those games. Doesn't Tempest of War use the base game army making rules?
It does. But we really enjoy how arks of omen does cp generation and army construction so we use that for it.
