Thanks for this great tutorial, makes flying the 737 much more immersive. Here are a few things that i did, which might be helpful: If the Parking brake wont release, add a 500 ms delay before the command to push the brakes (right on top). When Spoiler is slightly extemded on the first notch (beyond the arm detent), recalibrate the Spoiler Axis (Profile) from min 8500 to 65535 max. To align the other detents i then used Response Curve (Device). I also used this method to get my Flap detetns on 5, 15, 30, 40.
Glad you like it. Yes the brakes held was added to the sim and I chose to keep it where you have to hold the brakes manually just to match how it actually works. For others this is a great suggestion for what they can do if they don’t want to have to press and hold the brakes.
Yours videos about SPADneXt are superb. Almost everything is working superbly after aplication of your snippet was installed, except the switch of engines . when I press the button quickily if always goes to CONT. and if I repeatdly press it nothing happens. when I press for more time it comes from cont to off. The script is exactly as you show in your video.
All I can suggest is post images of the config in the spad Discord.. Holding for longer than 1 second should make it go to OFF.. That is on purpose.. The only other thing I can think of is that you have not enabled the SDK in the PMDG .. you need to do this for all variants not just one time. Since those buttons rely on reading the PMDG simvars if it is not set to broadcast them then it won't be there. How to set that up is in the first PMDG video.

@@ericmayers2569 Parking brake is probably due to needing to HOLD the brakes to set it (realisim setting you can adjust in the PMDG CDU settings) and the throttles probably need to be "calibrated" and curves Reset if they are not moving at all. Use the SPAD discord for support help. much easier as Images/screen shots can be posted.

Hi, just wanted to say thanks a ton for the videos on SPAD, it works perfectly with my PMDG/Airbus TCA combo with the exception of the reverse thrust. I cannot get it to engage at all. I'm using your snippet and the numbers look identical to what you have here, but they just will not engage. Any suggestions?
@@LesOReilly Yes, I've tested it siting at a runway fully powered up. Everything looks correct in all the settings in Spad and I calibrated the throttles per the Thrustmaster instructions. EDIT: I figured it out, I needed to enable Virtual buttons within the Thrustmaster settings. It wasn't recognizing the Reverser detents as buttons. A little fine tuning on the calibration and it works great now!
Hi Les. Thank you for teaching us how to set up a SPADneXt profile. Great explanation! I´ve tried it after SU11 and can´t get the reverses to work and the overhead switches just change between off and continuous. Could SU11 have changed anything?
Hey man @LesO'Reilly. Something funky about the gear handling, Gear up "handle sound" on repeat, and handler will not go inn off position after 20K MS, anything happened in a update causing this or what? also holding red sidebuttons in more than 1 S to sett TO/GA works only 1/10 tries.
@@LesOReilly Ive sorted TOGA out with changing left button only for setting TOGA and right button for AT disengage, however when AT disengage at short final ref speed disappears and speed for every flap setting appears, very strange😅 Also gear problems remains so Ill juse my button on yoke. Everything else works fine :-)
Thanks for your tool, love it and works out of the box. How would you go about it if you use no detent system (i have it disabled on my throttle), so just as a continous throttle? Then your settings for the revereser dont work. How would I go about it? If I select throttle with reverser as a setting, then its not really accurate and the two throttle levers are out of sync. I cant get it two work well with the reverser setting on...thanks
I would use the bravo method then. Use just throttle without reverser axis and put the reverse thrust at the very bottom on the switch the same way we put it on the switch in the bravo.
all of the buttons and reversers on the TCA Boeing will show up as events on the axis control - so click on the axis the button is attached to add event and you will find buttons.
Gidday Les. I only have one issue if you could help? I'm made a blank profile on MSFS, downloaded the Snippet. All the buttons and switches work great, however I can't get the throttles to move at all? Am I missing a step somewhere? Thanks for the video.
no idea .. you probably are going to need to join the discord link your license and then post images of your config in the the PMDG channel there so that we can have a back and forth... youtube comments are not very good for this.

Follow the first video and make sure to enable the SDK broadcast. You have to do it for each variant as they have their own option files in their own folders.
I have the TCA Airbus 320 TQ setup mapped to the FBW A320 and another one for the Fenix A320... how do i make sure these are not disturbed if i setup SPAD for the PMDG 737-700? I See where you have YES, No, CANCEL..which to choose ?
you make a new profile for the PMDG planes .. and then load snippets into that Profile... The point of having profiles is to have different setups for the different planes..
Great video. Im a bit new to this but I have a PMDG 700 profile for my radio stack. How do i add this snippet to that same profile so both the radios and the TCA snippets get associated to the same plane ?
You do exactly what it shows you in the first part of the video ... you click on a button in the device and then download the snippet.. A complete device snippet only applies the settings for that device from the online repository.... That way you make YOUR profile for the combination of devices and then download the individual devices... that is what Snippets do just that device...
Any advice/direction if I want to try to make the airbus flap notch a specific setting for the 737. For example notch 1 F 1, notch 2 F5, notch 3 F15, etc.
This little program we use to map our controllers does it need to be running in the background to use with MSFS2020 after mapping everything? Also does this mess up the settings you already have set for the A320 throttle controls?
Yes it runs along side and sends events and data to the sim. You don’t double bind. If you map in Spad then you unbind in MSFS. In MSFS I make new blank profiles for devices I map in Spad.
Any chans that you create snippers for 787,777 or 767. The online profiles do not work, they are all empty events. Running Spadnext trial so I am new here

under the editions information on the spad website it lists Midi as part of the Standard Edition.... However long term there will be a native implementation like what the dev did for streamdeck .. probably will need to upgrade to Complete edition at that point since that is what stream deck requires.

You have configured the PMDG SDK ini file in the PMDG plane folders? And you have removed any bindings for that controller that you are mapping in SPAD from MSFS correct?
@@jessl9770 L:VAR .. see the MS SDK.. Custom Planes, Scenery and Add ONs can add their own Local Variables classified as L Vars in the SDK.. This is needed since they have systems or functions that far exceed what the base sim "A:VARs" supply or worse do not allow add ons to Write a different value too. Many Add Ons require the support of L:VAR to maximize controls... In Spad UI -- HOME - VIdeo Guides - New User series and PMDG series videos will be easier to sort through and find than straight up UA-cam.. it's all categorized to make it easier for you to go through.
You have give 0 useful information to respond to. I have no idea what "not work" means .. what does not work.. how does it not work.. Use the Discord that is what it is there for. 90% of peoples issues with the PMDG is that they never follow the first video in the series to ENABLE the PMDG SDK in each model of their plane. Each plane variant has it's own ini File and each ini file needs to be edited to include broadcasting the SDK ..
Need to make sure the SDK is enabled. No idea what you could have for an issue. Use the spad discord. Link your license and post screen captures of your issues. Make sure you are not double binding in the sim. Also if trying to test things make sure the engines are umrunning.
Do you have settings for the thrust, master, boeing throttle my reverse thrust always gives me an issue when I use the default from Microsoft flight simulator I would like to control this with spad.
just copy the same steps over .. The Boeing version is going to be more like the Bravo in that the levers will be a button... however it is basically the same approach. Press = switch ON and Release is the same as Switch Off in spad land.
It worked fine for me on Thursday a couple weeks ago the last time I flew it. But that was the day before the new update came out. Always possible they broke it. Also the engines have to be running for it to even work.

Are you doing it with the plane running? Needs to be powered up does not really work while power is off.

Check your buttons. I have found my left throttle button is starting tonahve issues in certain positions. Thinks wires are coming lose.

Use custom axis and then set up multiples that use small ranges and then set a specific flap value.

Les for some reason my throttles are showing up as 40% when on idle, and my reverses are only going to idle and not max

The Engine starter switch does not work for me it only go's to continuous and off.
You probably do not have the SDK enabled in the 737ini files. Needs to be done for each version.

Yes you will end up with double bindings. You will also not have access to the LVARs.

I followed the guide exactly and I can't get max reverse to work. Idle reverse works, but nothing more...
