It did not stand up very well to the entrance from WinWing... especially considering the follow up with their efis and other products is behind and now not even more than a future announcement. Price wise .. it was still much better (early bird only.. the later regular price is way out of reason) than anything announced before it. So it could live with a few early blemishes.. but once those Winwing products shipped it for sure exposed the blemishes.

Not yet -- two reasons - 1 Plane is still in early access and some changes have already taken place regarding the SDK ... 2 - it's not in a released version of SPAD still in Beta ... so same issue is that things may or will change. So we will wait it out a little.

Yup love the 480 ... but this is not one to use for reference. best to just use the old garmin trainer.

No. You need to make profiles for different planes and then load devices targeted to those avionics.

No one is forcing you to do anything. I started using this software in 2015 because I wanted to control all kinds of add ons and remap per plane. Never looked back and was never sad. If Spad did not exist I would probably not be simming much.

@@LesOReilly well I finally got it to work and noticed how limited it is so I'm now intested in mabye buying it so I can re-map things

​@LesOReilly it does not. But i had to give it a shot. LOL. Now i have to teach myself how to use fsuipc to set things up on fs9. I will use sapdnext if i ever get 2020.

sounds like you might still have the Logitech software still installed and running .. thus probably both software are sending events

@@LesOReilly Thanks for the reply, but I dont use logitech, I use vkb gladiator. On my msfs computer I only have installed air manager, popout manager and spad.next (and ofc msfs). So you do not have the same issue as me, could you check again what happends if you press your AP button and hold it for like 300-600 millisec?

Well you are commenting about issues press an AP button on a video about the Logitech Multipanel. But until now never mentioned you were talking about buttons on a joystick device.

With a 4090 you’re probably using Frame GEN and that probably won’t work with that any longer. I don’t have an onboard GPU with my 7800x3D and 4090 so can’t comment.

I don’t use or have ever flown that plane. You will need to search the snippets for others that have shared.

Fenix is all LVAR based. Yes it has access to everything.

Look into finding XLoader then or reach out to MiniCockpit and ask them to make the file available since it is their site and their article that is still pointing to a file.

all of the buttons and reversers on the TCA Boeing will show up as events on the axis control - so click on the axis the button is attached to add event and you will find buttons.

Then you did not do it correctly or you have not yet setup the 777 SDK INI file correctly.

When you change the between 25 and 8.33 it is the same variable. so they are tracking that standard variable. If you want them different then you need to use local variables or remove the tracking of the variable that is defining how many digits to show.

you need to program them independently then .. if you use the same snippet on all they will behave the same -- they are looking to a standard A Var to decide what to display based on using 25 or 8.33 spacing.

Depends on which button in which plane - if they are LVARs usually use Button Press and set to 1 then use button release and set it to zero.

Think you need to open a chart then and see the geo reference. Use you navigraph charts.

@@LesOReilly Quick question (not tech support). Do you know of a way to pause the audio playback in spad? I'm attempting to setup various checklist that I can pause and resume via a button. I have a few checklist audio files ready, just haven't figured out a good way to pause/resume. Thanks

Nope. Best to chop them up into separate files.

​@@LesOReilly I found a post by a guy who said he uses Winamp player (I haven't heard that name in years), which allows you to assign hotkeys for Play, Pause, Next/Prev track, etc. It runs in the background. I'll give that a try and have Spad trigger the hotkey combo. That should work for what I'm doing. Thanks!

For a Switch that has ON and OFF positions but we don't have an ability to Send an On or OFF Event we can use conditions to guard the toggle event. Basically the switch needs to be kept from getting out of sync. So you only let it send the toggle event if the Sim Variable allows it to do that.

No those are hard coded in the Logitech firmware. Only numbers can be updated on the screen.

@@LesOReilly ok, could it be programmed so that you can change values without virtual power. Also another question that came to my mind is are you able to change the brightness

you can disable the need for Virtual Power all together .. look in the spad settings tab for that. No ther is no brightness with this device.

VA would not share information with developer .. so no way to implement the device fully.

Have you resolved this? You have two separate comment threads going.. One you say you have it sorted and this one says you don't?

@@LesOReilly I have the fact the levers didn't move sorted. The action that is not OK is making the slider execute the two functions - Move start switch followed by move the fuel lever after a delay pause.

@@andybrockbank3027 you are going to need to make a Local Variable that you set instead of the Fuel Lever... Set it to a 0 or a 1. Then you will attach two Scripts and inside the scripts you will build it like you did on the Button. The Scripts will run based on that Local Variable being a 0 or a 1. Just like a "switch" would operate.

if you made it work on a Button it is the same skill set... Script is just another item that runs on something "changing" as opposed to human pressing button.

PC12 just got a new update. Bunch of fixes and improvements. One of my preferred planes for sure

BIP panels the text are plates not an LCD screen.

Make sure the SDK is enabled for the 777 - fuel levers work I have done videos for other throttles and controlling it.

Thanks for that,. SDK was enabled but I erred on the range setting. Now works OK.

And what about the other question related to basically the same thing? are you good now?

Just delete the events assigned to the button on the detents. Video has chapters will show you which. Buttons they are.

@@tombrady5867 that is an old version from the video .. I am on a much newer version now. I don't make Profiles -- I make and publish Device Snippets for each device as my profile would contain other devices that you don't have. There is a chapter in the video on how to download my Snippet.

Don’t look for profiles. Profiles are a collection of one users hardware - these age going away soon anyway. Make a profile for the plane. Then download device snippets for the devices you own into your profile. If you have similar planes you “make new profile from” the profile you want to base it on. In the future it will have inheritance where you can have a top level profile and then make child profiles for things that need to be different per plane.

You need to put TDS in standalone mode (no longer will see it in the sim) and then you can run it outside of the sim in its on app and put that on the spacedesk screen.

Make a blanket text file called Standalone.txt and put that in the C:\ProgramData\TDS\GTNXi\ folder.

I don't have that plane .. maybe search the online snippets for any device that has AP control for the Typhoon and then look at what is programmed for it

Ahhh Gotcha. Do you know how to create a Beta Prop zone on Honeycomb? I usually do it by Mouse in game.

Are you doing it with the plane running? Needs to be powered up does not really work while power is off.

@@LesOReilly Yes, I've tested it siting at a runway fully powered up. Everything looks correct in all the settings in Spad and I calibrated the throttles per the Thrustmaster instructions. EDIT: I figured it out, I needed to enable Virtual buttons within the Thrustmaster settings. It wasn't recognizing the Reverser detents as buttons. A little fine tuning on the calibration and it works great now!

Make sure the switch is in PC mode not XBOX and check again. Seems like there was a new revision of hardware recently and the dev pushed new configuration data (not a new version of Spad just data that loads on startup.
