- Back on the 701 project. I have begun to clear out the airplane factory which has been used for storage while I have been making some changes to the shop and house. This video is mainly assessing the status of the project and making some small steps to get going on it again, mainly working on the slat tips and looking over the flaperons. I also delve into why I prime internal surfaces and why I think it is necessary.

Hello friend. It’s good to see you back on the aircraft project.
And about time to 😀thanks
Hi From Ireland.
Good to see you back, Looking Forward to getting some good tips, Thanks.
Thanks, I will do my best.😀
From Paul. Hi Dan I did not know you had your own skunk works Zenith 701 project don't forget to keep you nose up on take on take off. lol
Yes it has become a long term project. It was what I originally started the u tube channel with, and now it needs to be another of the projects that gets finished
Dan, is this an RC plane your building, or a full size plane? Thanks again for sharing!
It’s only an rc if you consider a 27 foot
wingspan to be in the realm of rc. It’s a 2 seat, high wing all aluminum construction that accommodates about a 100 horsepower engine
I didn't know that you where in to hot wire foam cutting. I'm trying my best to start u tube channel, started off with videos of how I hot wire cut foam cores for engine blocks V10, something that went along with the cam shaft. Next step is Mac iMovie, bin watching iMovie tutorials on UA-cam, makes my head swim, for my self I findMac mac hard to use, like the return key, it's the enter key. I use to be into RC planes, devorce put a end to that, I think about restarting since I live in farm land with all these open feilds around where I live, that would put to many irons in the fire
yes had a hot wire cutter of one sort or another for years, been thru rc planes and still have quite a bit of stuff but not sure if I will go back to it or not, hopefully not.
You STOL on your project builing a 701 and no one has picked up on this pun? LOL
Apparently not
