- Marc-Andre is a buddy of mine who earned his pilots licence about a year ago. He has only flown Cessna 150 and 172s so far so we figured it was time for him to try out something a little bit different.
He is also an avid Flight Sim pilot and scenery developer for MSFS.

In a different life, I would be on this like peanut butter to the roof of a dog's mouth.
Really appreciate the effort you put into the videos. Nice to see a fellow Zenith pilot that just enjoys flying and not pushing products. 😀
Thank you! I'm glad you like them. Stay tuned to hear all about the sponsor... SquareSpace!!!! Hahahaha! Just kidding. :-)
I remember back in the day I was with my instructor in a 150 . I'm a tall guy and this was like a gocart! He tells me more power as the trees are coming at us from the airstrip! I cranked on that booger and it was just like a movie ! Missed the tree tops by a few inches! Wonder why my poor instructor had a hard time speaking!!!😂 Anyway, nice photography and the river landing made me wince. That's quite a machine you got there !😎👍
Bahahaha! I'm glad you missed the trees!
Accent is nice actually. It brings colour to the language. Ne t'excuse pas pour ton accent Marc-André.😂😂
I went up in my buddies 701 couple weeks ago with him. Then the engine quit 400ft above ground and we crash landed into a bison field. No one got hurt but the plane will never fly again. Turns out he had the fuel gauges in the wings, and those tanks were feeding a small tank behind the seats that did not had a fuel tank gauge. For some reason the wing tanks stopped feeding that small tank and the engine ran out of fuel, no warning given. The very next day I booked my first flight lesson. Never again do I want to be in a small plane without knowing how to fly it!
I'm glad you guys are ok!
@@mmatt me too! My zenith with definitely have three fuel gauges 🤣
Really cool that you can land on that short gravel bar on the river. Very high piloting skills demonstrated.
Nice flight with your 701 👍
Good video Matt. I just got my new Aeroprakt A32. Somewhat similar to the Zenith with STOL performance. I’m still getting used to those quick takeoffs with the yoke straight back and full power…..so cool. I’m really enjoying your videos and seeing what these designs can now do. Stay safe up there and I hope the cold isn’t too bad! I’m down on Long Island.
The A32s are such nice planes too. Congrats on the new plane!
You should make some videos with it! :)
@@mmatt , first I have to figure out the Dynon!🤣🤣🤣
Your'e funny and a very good pilot Matt.
Hey Matt, always enjoy your videos! I have a CH750 located at CYHS in Ontario. It would be cool if we could link up some day. Lots of cool flying around our neck of the woods as well. Cheers, Dave
Subscribed! That's a beautiful plane! Of our two, I'd say yours is the better cross-country machine so bring it on over! :-)
I've done a fair bit of flying in your area when I was working on my commercial licence. It's a great place to fly.
Montreal St-Hubert is a nice airport to meet.
Fun video.
Another cool video! makes me wanna fly a 701 soon! my estimate of your initial take off is under 200ft.
Fantastic video thanks! Re: iPad mount. Sooner or later, you WILL hit turbulence, or someone's knee WILL hit the iPad and knock it from its mount, and it WILL lodge itself in your control collum and jam it or, it WILL distract you from flying long enough for bad things to happen. At the very least I'd suggest a "leash" or such thing to secure/retrieve it. Ask me how I know as they say.

I figured my landings would have knocked it off by now! hahaha!
Can you zoom in on those birds at 14:54 ? That looks cool.
The C 150 aerobat has roof windows
Look like twin brothers.. hee hee.
Marc needs to buy your Quicksilver.
I bet he would have loved it. It sold over the summer though. It's in Ontario now with its new owner.
Can you link the magnetic set up you have for your ipad?
