Missed seeing you and the Super 701 at the 2023 Zenith Homecoming! Nice crowd this year. John and I had a tailwind both directions out of TN66, plus great weather! Take care and fly safe.
Nice video, I wish a fight instructor would do the same type of video and describe why and how and the minute details. Maybe someone out there will listen and do that.
Thank you John for confirming my every thought that the UL130 HP is the way to go! One, two, three, and rotation at a radical vertical angle!! I love it!!! That must be as good as it gets and still be able to land just as short. When that 130 HP motor came out I new that was the way to go. Y However that cowling scares the pants off of me! I don't think I have the skills to build that nor the time! You should see my runway, yours is very doable! Dad always said make good choices and you will have fantastic results every time!! I like your choices on you panel as well. Two Thumbs Up my friend. I'm afraid with COVID it just made my dream of building one like that "the impossible dream". In fact just before taking my solo that is when COVID hit. So sad what happened to me but I'm sure it killed a lot of other dreams besides mine. Blue Skies and fair winds!
Jon, nice video! I really need to plan a trip down your way in the Clipper this year. Stay safe! I’m just waiting for the kit price hike due to YOU… lol you know how it happen with the kit fox 🦊
Fine flying just a question at 08:: on your film you looked a bit close to a tail strike ?? Or is it just the camera angle I'm hoping to fly one of these soon,my only experience is 300 hrs in cessnas is the rear bottom fuesalage designed to take a tail strike??
About 4:57 .....probably not good idea to stand close to a prop ...heat of the motor could still cause a kick back. I never stand near them in general . Great looking machine. ......
I assume from the video shot above solid cloud cover that you are instrument rated and the plane is outfitted with the proper navigational equipment for instrument flying.
I sure hope u still get paid a little for old videos cause i sure do love going back and watching yours. Never get old.
More motivation for me to get a sport license-and that plane; a beauty. Thx for sharing.
We loved having you participate at the Zenith Homecoming! We look forward to seeing you again at the 2022 Homecoming!

You are a very talented pilot I love watching your videos stay safe out there!
Great video. That aircraft is fantastic but its the pilot that makes it "super". Thanks Jon.
Glad to see Jon in good health.

Great video! Thanks for sharing. In the near future, I'm looking to build a 701 much like yours with the ULPower 350. :)

Hey Jon,
Is there a cowling available yet for the 701 with the ul 350is powerplant?
About 4:57 .....probably not good idea to stand close to a prop ...heat of the motor could still cause a kick back.
I never stand near them in general .
Great looking machine. ......
How tall are you? I'm looking at buying a 701. In 6'. Haven't sat in one so I'm looking for info. Have my PPL single-engine land.
"Requestin' a flah-bah."
How long did it take to get there from TN? Great video
He doesn't answer questions.
Question-do you use 100LL or MOGAS in your plane? Can it do either or only one?
What happens if you have an engine out when landing or taking off like that?
Is there some kind of drone that takes the outside the body shots?
That's his 360 degree camera attached to his left wing. I still can't figure out why we don't see the extension pole in the shots. Very cool.
@@jbl7092 Wonder if he is running wire removal software.

Research the term “VFR on top”
Need a Tail Skid plate ??
