  • The Zenith Homecoming is quickly turning into a major nationwide aviation event that should make your "do not miss" list! It is held at the main Zenith factory/headquarters in Mexico, Missouri every year.
Ride along and experience the journey/adventure with me in the Super701 from my Tennessee home to the Zenith Factory. This involves epic cloud scenery, cross-country fun, and STOL demos at the factory.
The people you will meet and the relationships you build at this event are second to none!
You can tour the factory to see how the top-selling kit in the world is CNC manufactured. You can also meet, talk with, and get to know the awesome employees. If you are wanting to build your own plane, you can attend a Rudder Workshop, where you will get the hands-on experience of building a Zenith rudder under the supervision and guidance of some of the factory experts. This allows you to see first-hand what kinds of work, skills, and tools are involved in building an all-metal airplane.
There are usually dozens of completed Zenith airplanes to check out, from all of the famous 701/750 STOL series, to the high-wing 750 Cruzers, and the 601/650 low wings! You can meet many builders, owners, and pilots who are happy and excited to share their experiences and passion with you. You can see all kinds of unique personalities come through with the personal touches builders have put into their flying works-of-art. This event is the perfect place to ask questions, get ideas, and gain valuable experiences/insights as you progress toward your dream of flying.
Zenith hosts workshops with speakers and many subjects are covered throughout the event.
Camping is permitted on-site, whether you fly in or drive in.
Again, the entire event is amazing and attendance is highly recommended if you dream about building and/or flying your own all-metal airplane.
I hope you enjoy this video. Special thanks to all my fans and my aviation friends/family for sharing and supporting my dream!
Thanks to all the people who take pictures/videos of these events and for sharing them!
The final picture in this video was taken by Clint Gosch, who built his own scratch-built 750 plane from the Zenith plans!
Huge special thanks to Zenith Aircraft for designing, manufacturing easy-to-build kits, helping people make their dream of flying a reality, and for hosting such an Epic event every year!
I hope to see you all at the Zenith Homecoming in 2022!

Missed seeing you and the Super 701 at the 2023 Zenith Homecoming! Nice crowd this year. John and I had a tailwind both directions out of TN66, plus great weather! Take care and fly safe.

Nice video, I wish a fight instructor would do the same type of video and describe why and how and the minute details. Maybe someone out there will listen and do that.

Thank you John for confirming my every thought that the UL130 HP is the way to go! One, two, three, and rotation at a radical vertical angle!!
I love it!!! That must be as good as it gets and still be able to land just as short. When that 130 HP motor came out I new that was the way to go. Y However that cowling scares the pants off of me! I don't think I have the skills to build that nor the time! You should see my runway, yours is very doable! Dad always said make good choices and you will have fantastic results every time!! I like your choices on you panel as well. Two Thumbs Up my friend. I'm afraid with COVID it just made my dream of building one like that "the impossible dream". In fact just before taking my solo that is when COVID hit. So sad what happened to me but I'm sure it killed a lot of other dreams besides mine. Blue Skies and fair winds!

Fine flying just a question at 08:: on your film you looked a bit close to a tail strike ?? Or is it just the camera angle I'm hoping to fly one of these soon,my only experience is 300 hrs in cessnas is the rear bottom fuesalage designed to take a tail strike??

About 4:57 .....probably not good idea to stand close to a prop ...heat of the motor could still cause a kick back.
I never stand near them in general .
    Great looking machine. ......

That's his 360 degree camera attached to his left wing. I still can't figure out why we don't see the extension pole in the shots. Very cool.

I assume from the video shot above solid cloud cover that you are instrument rated and the plane is outfitted with the proper navigational equipment for instrument flying.
