Hey what’s up everyone, it’s Derek from Nerd or Die, and I’m going to show you how to setup our latest overlay package, Uplink.
In this video I’ll show you how to quickly and easily get this pack setup inside of Streamlabs OBS and I’ll walk you through how to customize the colors and text and media sources used. We’ll also go over how to install, use, and customize the goal widgets included in the pack.
Let’s get right into it.
So, if you don’t yet have Streamlabs OBS, you can use our affiliate link in the description below to download it directly. We’ve worked hand-in-hand with Streamlabs in order to make our products easy to install and customize, so we definitely recommend checking it out. If you prefer to use OBS Studio instead, then I recommend checking out some of our other videos about adding sources into OBS Studio, which you can find in the description below. The pack comes with all of media files you’ll need to do so with either software. Even if you’re using OBS Studio, this tutorial will still cover the basics you need to know to follow along. Also, don’t forget to subscribe with notifications on, as we have some awesome new free resources and stream packs coming out soon.
With the pack downloaded and unzipped, open up Streamlabs OBS and click the settings tab on the top right. From there, click Scene Collections, and then the “Import Overlay File Button”. Next, select the .overlay file found in the Streamlabs folder of your overlay pack, then click Open. After a few seconds the overlays will be imported and basically ready to use.
Before I forget, make sure that you check out the readme file included with the package, as it will contain more details on settings and processes included in this video.
The first scene you’ll see includes instructions about how to use the product correctly. I recommend reading through the guide quickly, and then deleting this scene once you’re ready to rock.
Not only will your scenes be set up for you, but the stinger transition should be set up as well. When you change scenes, you should see the stinger transition fire off, so let’s move to the Stream Starting scene. If you need to edit the stinger transition you can do so by clicking the gear icon above the scenes area. Here you’ll find the transition and connection tabs.
For transitions, you’ll see that we’ve made a global transition, with the type of stinger. You can click the edit button and see the properties we’ve used for this transition. You can also use the dropdown for “type” if you’d like to change the type of transition used. For instance, you can use a “cut” or “fade” type by changing it here. - Ігри
@NerdOrDie I just bought your INTERFACE overlay (freaking love it! A few tweaks and it'll look made for Star Citizen with that graphic interface to mesh into the HUD overlay). I digress. After searching for how to upload the overlays and widgets, I came across this tutorial to setup overlays and it helped IMMENSELY!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you refer your products to this tutorial because it will help A LOT to those like me without any idea how to install the overlay packages.

when i transition with the stinger, the audio does not fade out even though it is selected. the next scene's audio starts before the stinger transition begins and the previous scene's audio subtlety ends 2 seconds in to the scene i am transitioning to. the two scene's audio is mashed together for about 5 to second seconds and it sounds horrendous. i cant find any solution to this issue and have read that a lot of people are having a similar issue with the stinger. i know this is more software related than it is your product, but i was hoping you had a fix for this so that i can get the most professional look out of your overlays. thank you
i need to use theme starting soon overlays to the obs studio
(i have the predator package) but is there a faster way to change "Yourname" file for all my scenes? or do i have to go in manually and do it?

How can I change the stream starting animation, stream ending and brb colours because there are no white themes for them webm files which I just mentioned, I tried using the colour filter normally but it also changes the left part, so I tried getting purple which worked, but it also changed some of it to green since it wasn’t originally the same colour, so can you help me with this or add everything else as white theme to the package please.
Also, I don’t know how to change the colour of the stinger transition.

I have bought a package from you with source files. I changed to colors of everything in Adobe After Effects and I saved it as *something*.aep and I would like to know how do I upload it or convert an .aep file to *something*.overlay file for it to work in Streamlabs OBS. Can anybody help me?

You put up how to put the package on Streamlabs but you didn't say how to downloan and unzip the file. That's where I am at. I am very very new to this.
I bought the "Uplink full stream package", and there was no "goal widget" inside of my Uplink-Overlays folder. I redownloaded the pack again but it still doesn't contain the goal widgets

How do you get the music that comes with the package to work? Can you use that for any scene as well?
The music is included in one of the download files, we created it just for this pack! Yes, you can use it in any scene you'd like.

Overlay stop working with other version. Only visible with Streamlab OBS, but cant use Streamlab OBS due to extra lag.

why is my ingame layout all black i can set all the alerts on the screen but cant remove the black overlay

The setup is pretty much exactly the same, with a few small exceptions, since SLOBS is built on top of OBS Studio.
