I loved this video! Really informative! Only bad thing is that I stream console so I stream from a capture card and I don’t know anyone on here that uses stream labs (since most use obs) and them going through the process.
Also, was trying to see if in your video you’d go over different type of audio stuff. (And kind of explain) because I tried to do this and heard people say that they hear themselves through stream or that they sound too low! Thank you so much for the help’

Yeah you can go into the streamlabs settings > appearance > add chat box dock (or its called something similar haha)

Hey man, great video, the only thing I can't get to work is the stream chat; mine is at the right side of the screen but the actual stream chat itself isn't there so I can't type to chat (It says Offline, 0 views, the little pen edit icon and refresh chat but the stream chat box isn't there)
I'd recommend unconnecting and reconnecting your twitch account inside the streamlabs stream settings :D
This video has been incredibly useful so far though once I got to the point of going into the settings for the audio I got confused. My situation is that I normally use my ps5 to start streaming with Twitch and i just started to use a laptop to get Streamlabs but I'm not sure if I need to connect them both so my audio and picture will pick up without "starting a stream" from my ps5. Please help, and thanks for the handy content!

For the Audio settings under the Desktop Audio Device 1, that is suppose to be wherever my gameplay is coming from correct? What if I am using an El Gato Capture card? I only have 2 options to select from and it's either "ZOWIE RL LCD (NVIDIA High Definition Audio) or (Digital Audio (S/PDIF) High Definition Audio Device) can you please help me? Desktop audio device 1 should be your desktop audio, your capture card audio will be added separately, not in those audio settings - you should see a new audio mixer option pop up when adding your capture card in the audio mixer and if not then double click on the video capture device and scroll down to add control audio

I actually used Streamlabs to record, so basically exactly what we did in this video. Then I edited the recording in Davinci Resolve :)

Lets say I want to also use this platform to record rection videos to eventually upload to UA-cam. How do I edit the height and width of the videos I'm reacting too? I tried scaling them using the borders but I can't seem to get the videos perfectly fitted on my screen in stream labs.
I'd recommend holding down the alt key and drag the sides to crop it to what you need it to be

Do you think the NVIDIA NVENC H.264 (new) encoder would still work better than the Software (x264) for an irl stream? I'm curious if it matters for irl streams vs gaming streams. I have a pretty legit Rocket League irl setup and have had issues with choppy streams in the past. I haven't live streamed in a while because of this. I am running my streams from an Alienware M15 with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU, and 32 GB Kingston Fury 3200MHz DDR4 RAM.
I believe that majority of times the (new) encoder would work better, but might be particular to your setup

hello this helps a lot and so far everythings has been going smoothing, but when i reached this step 9:13 from my end the only window that works is my browser apps, i also tried using the automatic feature but it didnt connect any of the games i tried (genshin impact and minecraft) i dont know what the issue is or if theres a problem but any help will be greatly appreciated
Try going into your games and changing the video settings - try using fullscreen mode, windowed mode, borderless etc. :D

I am having trouble setting up my audio channels. Currently all my audio (game sound, discord chat, in game chat, prox chat) keeps recording to 1 channel. So when I want to edit the it I can't split any of the audio from the game play. I am streaming, recording and playing through streamlabs on 1 pc and using my headsets mic. You can't really pause a live stream since that's literally half of the name in *live* stream 😂 - you can set up a brb scene so you can still be live and go do what you need to do tho haha

It will not, this is for PC only, if you want to connect your Xbox you'll need to buy a capture card to connect it to your PC

This is for PC/Mac - you'll be using the mobile version which is completely different. Watch my video on how to stream from iPhone and it should be more similar
Hey bro nice video but I need help, so when I’m setting up my stream labs I tried using the screen capture to capture my game but it won’t capture it so I tried using the video capture device and it gave me a choice of my webcam or the capture device I’m using which is the HD60S+ and I clicked on it and my game pops up and everything is fine but now idk how to get my webcam to pop up since I’m using the video capture device to show my game. Please help

If you want to connect your console to your PC then you can use a capture card and connect it to streamlabs by using a video capture device source
Ok so I was able to set everything up properly. My only problem is that now when I select auto it won't find my game, even with the game in full screen mode (in game capture too). When I select the specific screen for my game in "screen capture" it makes the color to my game dim (in stream labs). The only work around I found was using "window capture" & enabled force SDR & it fixes the color dimming issue. I don't know why this issue happened out of nowhere or how to get it working properly like it was in the beginning? My question is will this affect my stream once I go live since my game isn't being captured in the "game capture" option? Thank you for your help!
It should work fine if it looks fine in streamlabs

That's normal, I believe you can get rid of it via messing with the capture settings in the source but not 100% sure it'll work with your setup - @@Matt_Machina

you should be able to find your scheduled stream under your streamlabs options when you hit the go live button

I have so much issues with OBS and Streamlab. Somehow i think its due to my camera (logitech). The program keeps crashing once i launch my camera. Do you know why?

i keep trying to log into twitch and youtube via streamlabs desktop, but the icons for the twitch and youtube wont click, it seems to only want to work for facebook for some reason. It wont even let me log into streamlabs through the desktop app at all, I've tried setting my default browser to chrome whitelisted twitch, tried reinstalling, nothing seems to work. Any idea on how to solve this issue?
That's really bizarre, I'm not sure why that would happen. I'd recommend going to streamlabs.com and contacting their chat support and they can diagnose the issue :D
I did everything you done in the video, but when I streamed, and someone messaged the chat or followed it don't show up on my screen at all but when your watching from a phone it shows all of the messages and follow notifications on your phone only I do only have one screen right now but I thought those notifications pop up on my screen while I'm playing so I don't have to look at my phone every second or open the stream labs tab
Go into the Streamlabs Settings and go down to Game Overlay, that's what you'll want to experiment with :D

My mini feed is not updating whatsoever been Stuck on this for a few weeks now and it’s driving me nuts. I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, logged out, took out sources refreshed them consistently and I’ve gotten nothing. It worked when I first started streaming but now I get no alerts whatsoever. Really it should be as simple as making sure your Twitch account is connected to your Streamlabs account under the Stream Settings. If that's not working, send a message to Streamlabs support and they can find the problem from their end :)

Same process. Instead of game capture. You can either use display capture or window capture to capture your browser

Make sure your Twitch is linked to your streamlabs account via the settings and there should be an option to enable it in the general settings if I recall correctly

i bought one and i downloaded it and i cant even find it in my files on windows 11 it like it shows 2 different folders
Should be in the files folder and not the quick start folder, though you can use the quick start folder to import if you want

Sounds like you might not have enough ram to run both. Try lowering the in-game quality settings

Double check your audio settings in streamlabs and make sure your audio is getting picked up when the game is running

what do I do if I only see one arrow on the left side? I only see the arrow to open the side dashboard panel, not to open twitch chat
Connect your Twitch account to the streamlabs stream settings and there should be a box you can check for Chat under the general settings
i added the screen capture for my game but nothing pops up showing my game. still grey. i dont have a webcam yet is that why?. it should show my game anyways tho but idk? anyone help pls
nope don't need a webcam, try using a display capture instead
@@CpawsMusic still not. Hmmm. Like I have the captures, and like I have a game pulled up so that it shows. But nothing pops up. Even when I do that test follow thing from your alerts video. Nothing shows up. I'm not sure, won't show games,/my alerts I'm testing.
I'd recommend using the streamlabs chat support on their website since they can check from their end :D @@chucklef_cker9174

I tried to connect my twitch ACC and it just seemed stuck in a permanent verification loop?

Huh. Not sure why that'd be a thing. Maybe try connecting your twitch account or making a streamlabs id on the streamlabs website first instead of through the desktop software @@Hestia3332

I've managed to link my acc's now, I can't find a way to split audio tracks and choose certain applications as outputs? eg. my mic and a video player, excluding background game play?

use a chrome browser > view in desktop mode > go to video producer tab on twitch > delete
