Wow, I somehow discovered your channel yesterday, and I am glad I did. I have been wanting to get into Factorio and Blender but was struggling to find the “end of this string” where I could start from. Learning Factorio modding alongside Blender, yes, sign me up!
I do a lot of CAD and am fairly proficient, but I always wanted to try learning blender. After spending a bit of my winter break jumping into the deep end and ending up with a usable rigged clothing model. While I enjoyed the process and have since used the model for other projects. I still ended up fairly burnt out. However with your style of videos and focus on practical examples I can say I'm extremely excited to watch this series through.
I believe there's a special quality to 'intro to blender courses' made by many people. The Donut tutorial is a good overview of a full blender pipeline using sub-d, but the Hard Surface Modeling Jumpstart has a bunch of ergonomic stuff Blender Guru misses like saving a startupfile(This has improved my blender productivity by 10%🫠) AWA a hard-surface/boolean approach that lets you learn how to make good-enough topology. Also universal things like 'applying transforms' and hitting a axis key twice on a grab to slide along the local axis of an object get reinforced. Interested to see what you add in later tutorials since your game asset work is pretty interesting.
Wow. You really use something I was thinking of doing myself with learning this skill based on Cognitive Load Theory... have to dive more into that spiral methodology, it sounds like it adheres to CLT. Fine regards, Mr. Hoorn
Thanks for picking this up anew with the new version. I have been wanting to learn Blender off and on for years, I hope your series can ignite that spark I have to really get into it.
Learning blender alongside factorio? Absolutely. Sign me up.

I'm really happy about this series! I'm a Factorio modder and I'm scared of Blender

When installing Blender I like to do it through steam so I'm always kept-up on updates without much effort
