2018 2019 2020 Honda Accord owners needs to install this part

- This little unknown part of really the missing part for securing anything in your trunk. With these push in hooks you can secure a cargo net or organizer. No rivnuts to worry about. Simply remove the factory clips and push these in. Now you have two lower anchor points for securing your cargo. I didn’t know these existed.

U the man, the other guy’s video did not show u need to separate the parts. Otherwise there is no way to install this. Thanks !!!
Great! I’m glad it helped you. 👊🏼
Thankyou Jon for the connection for the HFP vinyls I got them today and installed in car They are very well made I appreciate that My car looks nicer inside with that touch Take care Keep up the great work
That’s awesome. They definitely add a nice touch.
Thank you Jon!
Anytime. They try to up sell you on the rivnut install. It’s a waste.
@@HondaJon indeed! keep it up with the channel is growing!
Most definitely. It’s cause people like you who are great supporters is the reason. I really appreciate it. 👍🏻
Just bought the oem cargo net not knowing they needed to be drilled with rivnuts and this looks like it will do the job! afterall its just to organize quick detailer sprays and micro fibers so these should do the job. Only wish the factory kit brought these as well to give an option. You would think so for the price.
I agree. Don’t use rivnuts. Not even needed. These are exactly what they are for. They don’t tell you about it though.
Yep I have the Honda one in mine
Hi what width was your cargo net?!
I don’t remember exactly but I believe most are so close and they stretch to fit. The accord has a wide trunk so most universal ones will do well.
Great video, thank you! What cargo net did you get? I bought OEM one and didn't even notice how small it is until I saw your video and how bigger your cargo net is.
Thanks man. I just got
One from eBay. It’s a universal envelope style but has quite a bit of stretch so it can hold a bunch. And with these rings, it’s not going anywhere
@@HondaJon can you send me a link if you don't mind?
No problem. Check this one out. www.ebay.com/itm/273857746611
A little more but you won’t have to wait months for it 👍🏻
@@HondaJon this one doesn't seem to have velcro on the bottom part, did yours come with velcro?
Mine does but you don’t need it. You can easily hook it with these rings
Awesome. Ordering the clips right now. Any chance you could track down the exact cargo net you have? It would be perfect for the situation in my trunk with respect to what I usually carry.
I agree. It works perfectly.
Brian Roelofs 08L96-TVA -100 Cargo net 18 thru 20 Accords
If you buy the net online they include them with the net all for 37 bucks the dealership wanted 76 for the net by itself
Nice. Good to know. The dealerships usually charge outrageous prices for their accessories
Do these work on civics?
I believe so. Check and see if you have a plastic cap in that general area
Thanks! I was wanting to get the net when I got my car too but held off on it due to all the work like you said. I might just get it now!
Yeah. You definitely should. Way easier and it’s so strong.
how do you separate the top from the bottom on the d ring?
Just put a flat head screwdriver and tilt it. It will pop open
@@HondaJon Got it. Thank you so much. I really appreciate this video
Great. No problem 👍🏻
Dude, Jon. Love your vids. Really nice to have someone test out cool mods for my new 2020 accord. I gotta say though, the shorter your intro can be, the better. No offense intended, again, I love your stuff. The intro just drags lol. Condense that bad boy down to like 5 seconds and you're golden.
Thanks man for the support and info. I appreciate it. I will definitely work on shortening it down. Not sure 5 second but I’ll shoot for maybe 10 lol
@@HondaJon Yeah man. You seriously make messing around with my car that much easier since you try it out first :) Currently have the interior trunk lid sitting in my garage waiting to be installed because of you. As far as shortening up your into, I'm thinking you could attempt to include all of your caption in one or two still images, and make a super abbreviated version of your intro music. I could see it working well for you! Straight and to the point is the way to go. Lots of short attention spans on UA-cam haha
Thanks man. I’ll definitely give it a shot. I appreciate the advice 👊🏼
Thanks for the tip Jon.
Anytime man.
What is the part number?
It’s in the description
@@HondaJon Thank you
@JC-zx7lq no problem
Jon, great video, will this work on a cargo net for a 2021 Honda Accord? Thanks!
Definitely should. Check your trunk and see if uiu have two clips in those locations. If you do it will work perfectly
I’ll have to pick these up because my dealership gave me the rubber trunk mat and cargo net when I bought my accord
Nice. Yeah these are perfect and don’t require any special tools.
thanks again ,, do u also have the part for the cargo box ,?
,,,
I don’t. It’s actually from a Ford F-150. Check it out on Oedro website. They should have it.
I had to open the hole with a bit to avoid battling and it would be better without breaking the clip
Yeah. It’s definitely tight. But once it’s in it’s in.
Thanks for the video. I tried your method and it worked perfectly. It took less than five minutes to install.
Nice. Yeah it’s definitely a must in order to secure anything.
I agree, your way is better than resizing the holes. Nice and clean installation. Thanks!
👍🏻
Thanks for this really helpful video. Do you think this would work on other cars, like a Subaru Legacy? Subaru doesn't seem to have a similar item that I could find. Thanks!
As long as the hole is similar size it should work. You could always enlarge the hole to make it fit.
@@HondaJon Thanks, I'll give it a try!
Anytime 👍🏻
Great job Jon!!
Thanks again 👊🏽
Thank you man. I appreciate it. 👊🏼
You need to use 8mm drill bit to enlarge the hole of these D-rings. Thanks for the video.
Moh Hall the instuctions say that but you don’t need to. The problem with that is if you go too far you can’t use these at all.
@@HondaJon Will this clip work on 2017?
That I’m not sure. Do you have a push clip in the same spot?
@@HondaJon I need to check on that, wife drove it to work today. I was ready to pull the trigger on a Picnic at Ascot 8033-Ht when I saw your video.
If it does I’m sure it’s the same size clip. Then it would fit. Be careful pushing the pin in. Maybe even file the edges of the hole down to make it a little easier
Very insightful and helpful! Thanks bro bro!
Anytime man. Thank you.
it should be a OEM cargo net to use?
Why didn’t you get the 2.0 sport?
😝
Hi Jon would you mind proving me the link go purchase it
Just put that part number in at any Honda part stores. 08U20-TVA-100. I found the cheapest at my dealer since they are cheap parts and you don’t pay shipping
@@HondaJon okay im gonna check it out
How many comes in a order/package?
You get two.
Hey Jon where did you get that trunk mat with the accord logo on it???
It’s just the oem honda one. It’s fits perfect. Only issue is it is slick. I use my cargo organizer though.
@@HondaJon ok cool thanks!
Anytime bro.
What cargo net did you buy?
I got it from eBay. Just search up envelope style. You can get the cheap. I paid $5 from China.
Can we please get the link to the net?
There’s no link. Just type in 2018 accord cargo net in eBay. You’ll see a bunch. Mine was $5. It’s great.
Where did u get the net from
I just got it from eBay. It works perfect
The OEM rivet nut doest go there, it goes under the rear deck.Check out this link.www.collegehillshonda.com/instructions/accord/2020/cargonet.pdf
This is simply for the side area. It only comes with 2 d rings. It’s not the kit for the cargo net but an easy way to attach the cargo net without special tools
That was very helpful. Thanks Jon.
Thanks man. I appreciate that. 👍🏻
Explain again how you get the pieces apart prior to installing?
You simply use a trim tool snd pull them apart
@@HondaJon I can't for the life of me pull the d-ring pieces apart with a screwdriver. Is there a trick I'm missing? I have a 2021 accord.
There should be a little cutout. You have to wiggle the screwdriver back and forth and it will open. At first it is really hard to do.
@@HondaJon Thanks. I can't find an envelope cargo net with velcro on the bottom anywhere! I've looked all over Amazon. Looks like I installed the D-rings for no reason at all.
No worries at all. You don’t need Velcro. This would work better. It uses the hooks to go onto the rings and then the top loop uses the stock mounting point in the trunk. I might actually switch mine to this to cause a little bit easier to use
www.ebay.com/itm/144001427721
Oem net requires a RivNut tool. Found tool on amazon
AA181-610, AVK, MANUAL INSERT TOOL M6x1.0
It doesn’t. All you need is this and the net. Honda wants you to buy the kit
Jon, the Oem net is smaller than your aftermarket one. Like just for beach towels and snow scrapers. Out of the wish list of accessories, I had the dealer only install the net because the older kits required drilling at 4 points and I wanted the corrosion warranty to stay intact. They rivnutted just the two up by the speakers as shown in your video. For haulin tools, etc for work I use gray totes from homey depot.
Yeah but they use the same anchor points. A honda oem net will
Work perfectly this way. It’s so strong that the plastic hooks would break before it pulls out of the side
First
Thanks
I found over many years what you ran into with Honda not mentioning correct parts you need
Hi Jon what is that part number on cargo net D hooks is it 08U20 TVA 100 before I order the Honda net and those clips Keep up the great work my friend
