Not saying it’s better, but my go-to for Detroit-style pizza here in Metro Detroit (other than Jet’s for convenience) is Green Lantern.
I literally want to travel to Detroit just to try this pizza. Ever since I heard they have they own style a couple years ago 🔥. I’m from NYC and I’ve been to Chicago like three years ago and tried their deep dish and actually liked it. So I’m sure I’ll like this. I’ve tried Jets Pizza cause there is a couple locations here in NYC but I heard there’s better in Detroit. Gotta make that trip real soon

If you go to Detroit , hang around a while. Leila’s downtown and Beirut in Romulus are must stops too. Oh, and find the BBQ places on your own.

@@lbgreen3872 funny you say that I just had Tac for the first time tonight. Been wanting to try it since I moved here five years ago and just never did. So damn good. And our server had us rolling.
Loui's is my all time favorite. Buddies is very very good, but I give Loui's just that little extra higher overall rating. Have had pizza in many states and a few countries and I never found a pizza I liked better.
Detroit pizza is incredible
If you live in Indiana, you can get that style of pizza at Noble Romans. Definitely one of my favorite pizzas!
I lived there and tried Noble Roman’s. I found it odd to have cheddar cheese sauce for dipping breadsticks.
There’s not a lot of Detroit pizza in az but I found one place called jets and it’s legit looks the same and tastes amazing

I love how every city does pizza different, but with respect. In Minnesota we do Sota' style or bar pizza. Thin crust, lots of cheese and toppings. square cut. There is also a place here called Wrecktangle doing Detroit style and it's fantastic!

However - the best Pizza in the world is still Harris Pizza ( QC ) Sausage and Taco.
Jet's STOLE it from the original producer, Buddy's Pizza in Detroit.

Best Detroit style pizza out there is in Traverse City Michigan. Charles and Reid Detroit style pizza.

Detroit pizza is #1. #2 is Midwestern thin crust (Pat's in Chicago, Cassano's in Ohio). And THEN classic NYC pizza. Sorry, NYC. But you know how you all are always throwing the crust edges on the streets? Nobody throws away Detroit pizza crust. It's a crispy crunchy cheesy fried crust treasure.

Im so jealous. We have very few good pizza places in Finland and most of the good places are napoletana style pizza and im more of a detroit style pizza guy. Not a single detroit or even nyc style pizza place to be seen though.
