The price is actually really good considering that model is less than a year old. Great video. 👍

Time is running short. Believe and confess to Jesus and stop putting him aside before it is too late. Jesus is the only way to heaven. Not by works or by going to Church every Sunday (not saying stop attending)
John 14:6 “Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Romans 10:9-10 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
Spread the word God bless :)

      @AVLRECORDS That's flat out wrong.
There's nothing "mid range" about the 3080, it's die size is bigger than the 2080, and packs twice as many transistors.
What's more the whole concept of "mid range" don't really exists, it simply a term reviewers made up to talk about the card in the middle.
Which the 3080 certainly isn't, given it's status as the flagship gpu..

Pre-builts are so fun, especially the older Ivy Bridge and Haswell ones. I got an older HP ProDesk with an i5-4570 in it for $80 a couple weeks back. Talk about architectures that have aged well - holy smokes. Pop a GT1030 in it, and you've got a rig that will play so many great games from about 2010 and earlier as well as some newer stuff that happens to be well-optimized or is just build to run on potatoes (like DOTA, LOL, Eve, Fortnite, etc). I sent it to a buddy so he could get back in to it, and it's humming along like a champ. If you're using a PC to complement a console, then there's really no reason to go big unless you're doing content creation.

2.the size can be cut down as they want and io ports make a big money too.

01:58 "This is such an early-2000's Dell thing to do" It seems it's still a late-2021's Dell thing to do, as Gamer Nexus can tell us about... :D
That graphics card shroud, it is unnecessary, but could be a good idea for longer cards, to avoid sagging! I think it's there to act as a "heat separator" inside the case, although there's no way for the hot air from the graphics card to be ejected from the case...

This is a 12VO PSU. If you want to replace it with an adapted/custom 'normal' ATX PSU, it's very important you get a high-quality unit. Standard ATX PSU's are not meant to only provide 12V, so if they do their voltage stability and efficiency can suffer quite a lot.

reason they go with custom mainboard is simple. Most motherboard come with video outputs and if they ship it with CPU without GPU even with big stickers saying connect your monitor here many people would just connect to mainboard connectors, see there is no picture and just return PC and ask for refund.
Also this way they can use 12V only PSU and save few bucks there (and make smaller PSUs on mainboard with cheapest parts available probably :))

Building the PC is half the fun and if you want a good, well rounded system, you have to do as much or even more research with pre-built systems because you want the components to be well optimized with each other.

You should be able to find an adapter for the power connector on eBay for that motherboard for a relatively low price. That LiteOn PSU looks ATX-sized so I'm sure you could upgrade it with, say, a Corsair CV-series PSU (which are on the smaller side and usually 80+ Bronze but available in higher wattages - my own PC has a CV650 in it) and an adapter for not huge investment. Older Dells have proprietary power supplies which are unconventionally shaped so, often, they're impossible to change out (particularly so on SFF and USFF builds), which makes upgrading difficult.

Acer. 'nuff said. Although my Predator Helios 500 with the Ryzen 7 2700 and Vega 56 in a laptop is still going strong.
    Dawid's PC was also possessed.

On paper the GTX 1660 super 6gb (Q4 2019) is about 2-3% slower than the GTX 1070 8gb (Q2 2016). 8gb ram along with the 256gb SSD is bare minimum. But at least they used dual channel ram with 2 extra slots for upgrade and a mechanical HDD for storage. Nice to see USB C port on the case. And whats with the black and wihite cable taped to the top under side of the case along with the nest of wires at the front of the case?

That PSU might be using the new ATX12VO standard which would explain the weird motherboard, PSU connection, and 80+Gold rating. The 5V and 3.3V conversion is handled on the mobo itself hence the SATA power coming off of it

That's a nice little system; I have noticed that prices for everything are higher than normal now...
Also, I personally wouldn't mind single channel RAM because it means I can then quickly get another stick of the same RAM, doubling its capacity. My HP OMEN 15 being a classic example, it came with 1x 8GB so I immediately upgraded it to 2x 8GB (and then later 2x 16GB).

Yeah, but with 1 stick of 8gig ram, you can at least buy another one and have 16. It's not too big of a deal if you're willing to put a little more money into a prebuilt. I guess you could argue that you could put 2 more sticks of 4gig and have quad support, however 16 will be your max amount of ram then unless you buy a whole new kit.

One issue I'm currently having with this PC is that I want to upgrade my PSU to something more powerful than my 500w supply. From what I've come to discover, this PC's motherboard doesn't have a 24 pin connector for the PSU but uses some kind of 6 pin connector. I'm fairly new to building PC's but I can't figure this one out. Literally the same PC as this one but I added more ram and upgraded to an RTX 2060

I couldn't see in the video if that mother board had those horrible plugs that limit power instead of a regular 24pin plug. Maybe do some cpu intensive test between the acer and say a decent B460 board just to see if the acer has some locked performance.

Depending on the cpu you could see a gigantic increase in swapping out the board.Compatibility don’t translate too power in the that aspect 😆

Something seems off with the graphics, the 1660 ti in a laptop with a 9th gen Intel processor does better with Very High settings in AC Valhalla than this PC did at high. The laptop even runs the game at ultra settings not far off that performance.
I know it is the 1660 Super in the PC, but it should be pretty close when comparing the PC 1660 Super and the mobile 1660 ti.
