I found his writing to be so much more... intricate than anybody else before or since. His simple eloquence, and the fact he had woven money politics religion and military interactions into the fabric of his plot, it is, exquisite.
The one thing that I have been wondering about is whether or not a new, comprehensive DUNE encyclopedia will ever be written? We know that the other one was unauthorized so with the voluminous material extant and available it just seems to me a very real possiblity. What do you all think?
Thank you! So many asspats in this comment section. This guy is a hack and they should all be ashamed of themselves for what they did to this iconic series. Even worse than the new Disney Star Wars films in terms of shitting on classics.
It's incredibly lucky that Kevin J. Anderson was able to continue the legacy of his favorite author. I'm sure working with Brian Herbert on the Dune prequels is just as great as actually working with Frank Herbert.

Those 6 books about Dune by Frank are incredible, so multilayered.
Thank you for the wonderful background
Oh.. wow. So, Dune almost didn't got published!

@@Chapterhouse86 I'm on Heretics and this is VERY discouraging....
Let me fix that title for you: "Ruining Frank Herbert's Legacy - And Laughing All The Way To The Bank".
More interested in how many big deals and best sellers he's had than Frank Herbert
