- Great day for flying however I could not grease any landings with this seaplane today. Not terrible landings but not as smooth as I want them, I will get lots of practice because I will fly it till I do get many greasers. #rcpilot #aviation #rcflying #rc #rclife #hobbyking #albatross

I wish you well on your maiden voyage. This is a very good airplane once airborne. The take offs are great if your easy ramping up power. Too much throttle and she can get squirrelly. Landings on water this thing is a NBA basketball. Hard to get a landing with out a dribble bounce. But I have had a few smoother landings and even 2 greasers. I am sure you can do it but you need still water the ocean would be very hard to do with waves. Thanks for watching Jeff. BTW flying off water is easy its landing on water that is a little harder.

That model has so much presence in the air and flies nice and slow, too. Some days are just stinkers for landings, Tug.
I agree Gina, I have flown this plane 11 flights in the last 3 days trying to get greasers and not doing too good. 5 out of 40 water landings didn't skip and only 2 of the 5 where greasers by my standard. Thanks for watching
Tug that is a cool plane! You flew it well. The landings were alright, but I get being a perfectionist. I do that too...
Guilty as change. Nothing wrong about aspiring to be a Jedi Master of water landings. I have many places to fly off water from around where I live. The HK Albatross is very difficult to land with out a short skip. Practice makes perfect.

It is one of the greatest planes of the decade, and still a bargain at $350. I am guessing the beeping is because the plane cruises nicely at about 20% throttle, and it beeps at 25.
Its really tricky not to bounce it on water, but on grass and snow its one of the easiest planes ever.
Yes I agree with you 20% throttle will keep it flying smooth. The bounce on water is almost a given but the wing grab when the float touches is what I dislike. It robs surface speed for touch and goes. I also agree snow and wet grass is super easy with this plane. Thanks for watching and your words or wisdom.

I slipped on My stairs yesterday carrying My Super EZ an destroyed it, landed on My Sciatica side, amazing, I thought I'd be off to Hospital but it's kinda much better??

Sorry to hear about your fall. Hope you get well soon and you are able to repair that super EZ. Its late spring here and we have yet to hit 80f. The lake is beautiful this time of year for sure. In about a month the water lily beds will start showing and then flower by late June. Thanks for watching..
That's a great looking airplane, and well flown! HK has some great looking planes I just never seem to get them flying as good as I want.

Sweet looking plane looked like a great day to fly. Is that water only plane?
It will fly off snow and wet grass as well. On grass the grass must be heavy dew or just after a rain before it gets too dry. Also off grass the wings must be held very level on landings till some speed is dragged off other wise the floats on the wings grab when they touch which is very hard on the wing.
