    First look at the NEW Hobbyking H-King Navy J-3 CUB that is also FPV ready! It has a beautiful molded windshield, which makes it nice to view through with the fpv gear.
    In this video I do the long unboxing and show you what youll get. In the previous video, I am maidening it on a 3s 2200 lipo, it has plenty of power, I fly it more scale, as a cub should be flown, but it has enough power for big loops and high stall turns, short takeoffs, etc..
    The scale detail on this airplane is awesome, simulated ribs, exhaust, air intake for the engine, engine heads with cowling, nomenclature, flying wires, spring gear, struts, the list goes on!
    Dont forget to like comment and subscribe!
    This US Navy (NE-1) version of the popular Piper J3 Cub is a must for all scale pilots. The details of the plane are extremely realistic and it comes in a great 1400mm size and like all Cubs is very easy to fly.
    During World War II the US Navy acquired 230 of the NE-1 version to use as a primary trainer. It was a dual flight control version with the instructor up front and the student sitting in the rear seat. A very stable platform for training.
    Putting this together is a breeze with every component attached by screws, including the wing halves and tailplane. This makes it easily broken down for transportation. All servos (9g) are preinstalled as well as the 45A ESC and powerful 3648-700KV brushless motor. The scale detail is exceptional with plastic injection molded parts are used extensively and include the dummy engine, wing struts and the dummy bungee under-carriage with large “Cub” wheels. Practical features include the linked steerable tailwheel, large magnetic battery hatch, construction of course from tough and easy to repair EPO foam.
    The US Navy NE-1 is a genuine scale model that is easy to fly by pilots of all abilities including beginners. It is a fantastic looking model and its unique coloring makes it look impressive in both the air and on the ground.
    Specs:
    Wingspan (approx.): 1400mm (55”)
    Length: 950 mm
    Flying weight: 1800g
    Wing load: 56 g/dm²
    Propeller: 12x9

    Motor: 3648-700KV brushless outrunner
    Servos: 9g x 4

    All Hardware

    Your Own 4 Channel TX/RX

    Hi! do you think That the H-King Navy J3 Cub can be a good 4ch Trainer and 2nd RC airplane? I flew the Super Cub S and I use RC flight sims. Is it hard to takeoff/handle? Thanks a lot and have a nice day!

    Not much has changed from the original "Starmax" Cub made many years ago.. Same "foam" hinges same "plastic" landing gear with weak springs.. At least we may be able to get spares...mmmmm?? for our older Cubs and repaint them..
    A good opportunity to make a good model better has been lost. FPV does not make the model better either.

    • @JohnVHRC
      @JohnVHRC  7 років тому

      They added more spars, alot of planes have foam hinges. Landing gear is metal, with plastic visual parts, seems to be plenty durable from my testing. Its a great model.

    • @agedflier9129
      @agedflier9129 7 років тому

      As I said... Not much has changed...The opportunity was there to make it better.. Many "New" planes are being made with proper hinges..
      Over the long term the metal on plastic pulls apart.. I think the Tundra is ALL metal. I know..costs are considered.... I'd call it an "improved" model NOT a new one...

    • @scottfirman
      @scottfirman 7 років тому

      agedflier All things considered,I reminds me of a Dynam plane. Nice heavy duty foam but expect to change things to make it more durable. Cost is always a factor in buying a foamy. My suggestion for you would be to go with Balsa and mabe notro. They make some really nice planes available at Tower Hobbies,more in your price range I suspect. I have learned really quickly in this hobby to expect to invest in your own upgrades if you want a really nice plane. I have yet to find any one plane that comes perfect right out of the box. That being said, I think for what it is,they did a good job as far as molding and foam. I remember the early days of foamys. They were over priced and looked cheap,acted cheap and flew worse. Look at Banana hobby 's planes. They were garbage. Way over priced complete garbage. The foam was ugly,pain terrible,electronics that failed. Yup,nothing better than the big yellow turds.

    • @agedflier9129
      @agedflier9129 7 років тому

      Your missing my point... They had the opportunity to make it a LOT better..Check out the new planes from Freewing and FSM... Most are being made with hinged control surfaces.
      Also the changes in my view dont justify the $50-$60 increase over the yellow or green "old" ones..

    • @agedflier9129
      @agedflier9129 7 років тому

      How can I explain it better?? Let me see....A car maker tells you that the car they made 10years ago has new seats a new engine and new wheels and tyres..and they call it a "NEW' car... It's NOT a new car but an upgraded "old" car..Its still might be a good car..Same for this Navy Cub...A good plane that could have been better.

      Perry Codes , yeah I think real modelist , made their own airplanes, right now I ' m working on a piper cub 1/4 scale using a 31cc trimmer engine , you can see it on my videos, is my first gas airplane but I will make it by myself. Good flights Perry

      Some people love to fly model aircraft but do not have the skill set to build themselves, if you have then feel lucky, many aren't as lucky as you.

    • @MegAndJas
      @MegAndJas 6 років тому +3

      Agreed it’s the fun part IF you have the skills, if you have not it can often end up as scrap, then you’ve wasted your time and money and never even get to fly it.
