I love watching these beautiful made machines flying with great pilots. My husband and I took our kids out doing this on weekends, so much fun. A great family activity for a family. Incredible flying. I don't like the crashing because I know how much time, work & money goes into this. My husband worked for Cox Hobbies and got all this stuff for a lot cheaper. Peace on Earth for all peoples. Goodwill for all humans.
This most disappointing is the way they killed that twin hotliner at 8:18. Absolutely inexcusable destruction of what must have been an awesome machine.
I completely agree... I have been flying pylon since the days of club2000. I have NEVER launched a model on bungee like that. I either use a dolly or a ramp. It just works.
yup look like full balsa wood construction, not the best for big planes looked like the plane yawed and overloaded the rudder then it spun and the wings and fuselage overloaded
Incredible to think that some of the failures that RC flyers have with these life-like models were replicated in real-time with actual test pilots when these planes first flew!
That one winger was amazing. Nice landing to bring it back mostly intact. Wouldn't have thought you'd have a prayer of getting that one down mostly whole.
At 6:04 you can see the elevator halves go into different directions, the left half up, and the right half down. Probable cause finding from the NMSB or National Modelers Safety Board report.
*Epic Ending....but if you're going to go out - go out BIG!* My heart goes out to the owner..he must have felt sick to see his baby disintegrate like that. Hope you recovered and will fly again. It was a spectacular ending though, and lives in infamy now! (silver lining)
I love it when people clap after a crash. These videos are better than watching fireworks. If you really need to be one, take all the RC stuff in your garage, put it in boxes and pile it in the front for the garbageman to pick up.
*12:42** Were they from Brazil? I thought that there were no Brazilian teams in these presentations. Good to know have. Too bad they not were able to complete the presentation.* 😢 *I FROM BRAZIL!* 😊🇧🇷 *I love my Brazil, but the Americans too!* 12:42 Eles eram do Brasil?
No just a landing with no landing gear (probably because of disability or just because it doesn't have one)and one jet motor(i don't know how you say that in English)
this is a compilation of smooth emergency landings (and a couple of crashes etc.) which i have no problem whatsoever cause seeing great models like these destroyed rips away my heart piece by piece
I don't get what happened to that last stupidly sized Jet. The Tail detached and because of that the rest of the Plane decided it wasn't going to be upstaged by the Tail and decided to explode? The bigger they make these things the more fragile they seem to be, a passing fart probably could have knocked that thing into a million pieces. Why make them so big in the first place?
Hey guys what airfield is that in 5:56-6:15? It's a grass runway with a red and white airplane. Is this airstrip in Germany? Thanks i would really like to know because that is an awesome place to fly!
great pilot with a single wing at the beginning of the video, landing could have been much worse 8:23 : what did he expect holding the plane this way ?
That was most entertaining!:-) That last mid air break up was no surprise. Trouble is when the toy planes got that large the aerodynamic forces are far greater than the traditional toy plane build, making them that large with proportional strength would mean they would never get off the ground with the current powerplants found in today's toy planes. Still looked good for a brief time 'till the air-loads did the rest
The "fun part" of the last one is that the speaker is talking all the time about how many regulations, observations and stability tests (by officials) this plane had to fulfill, because it exceeds certain size/weight limits.
My first model was a trainer scale 1:4 based on a Cessna 177 Cardinal and died exactly like the one at 5:55 ... it was a sad day for me... I have other models now but... man! I still miss that model... it was some kind of special love between us :P Looking at this video, I remembered that day... :/ BTW... awesome vid man! i really enjoyed it! Thanx!
0:35 That's some badass operator. One of the main wings has gone but he still flies that thing and even manages to land it without a total crash. Just the hard ground was a bad choice. 7:12 WTF is that??? This heli seems to defy the laws of physics!
Congratulations for the achievement in the mechanical system of the wings, I thought that it may have installed a mini hydraulic pump and actuators, but the solution may be more efficient and lighter using a worm screw like he has demonstrated. Cheers is beautiful your model.
2:14 Launch lefty and throttle up with your lip so you can use elevator and aileron on launch. By the time his right hand gets back on sticks too late. Learn to use your left arm by tossing a football for a while.
8:24 dude, there was NO WAY this could work. If you plan a slingshot throw put on a 45° ramp... How did the pilot expect the plane to take a good take off angle ?
Yeah, that really was a shameful act of stupidity. Even I as a total amateur could have predicted that this wasn't going to work. Stupidity won't change the laws of physics and logic.
Great control of pilot on the jet with one wing only. thumbs up
Respect - the pilot did a very good job by the one wing landing
denti dens the real question is how did it end up with one wing in the first place
yeah, but still a good job of trying to keep it level.
why land it on the tarmac....
I would have gone for the grass myself, maybe not so harsh on impact. Did a good job to get it down under control though.
13:28 He landed that plane pretty well, that actually was a epic save! Props to this guy! That way you can still repair it
The guy who brought down that 1 winged jet in relatively 1 piece at the start deserves a medal or something that was incredible!

Are you kidding? We love to see the debris fly and the douchebag walk of shame afterwards.
Interesting to see European enthusiasts in action. Some remarkable machines.
Wow the last one was epic how it completely disintegrated in mid air
Yes epic. Was not expecting that !
that plane looked like a real older jet plane's engine wrapped in duct tape
builder: Oh, so that's why airframes should be able to resist full airspeed pressure perpendicular to any surface ! lol
Marcos S Rojas 13:28
They should have waited for the glue to dry...I am still laughing
nice vlog friend really
This most disappointing is the way they killed that twin hotliner at 8:18. Absolutely inexcusable destruction of what must have been an awesome machine.
+Bunnyshooter 223 good to know I wasn't the only one!
+joshuawfinn not even me that doenst have a hobby on these but likes these videos , could see what was going to happen
Me too, is there any more information about it?
Agreed, what did they think was going to happen???
I completely agree... I have been flying pylon since the days of club2000. I have NEVER launched a model on bungee like that. I either use a dolly or a ramp. It just works.
He who lives by showboating dies in tears. That big Grippen crash was epic ... and painful.
I've had my wrecks over the years - always feel for folks who lose their plane. The yellow and blue (Eurofighter?) break up was awful to see.
SAAB 39
yeah, when it shattered, I almost started to cry, when I saw it
A jet plane made with plywood instead carbon fiber....
OMG at 2:10 wtf ... or Was ist das?! lol'
yup look like full balsa wood construction, not the best for big planes

Thanks for that info was curious myself as to what was the cause of the crash.
*Epic Ending....but if you're going to go out - go out BIG!*

The last one makes it worth it👍
Great Video,❤ Thanks for Sharing !❤
Gutes Video

Pffh, it was a paper airplane
Ja! Das shittywoodenplanespiel!

I've seen lots of crashes. But the German shows always crash some awesome stuff.
I love it when people clap after a crash. These videos are better than watching fireworks. If you really need to be one, take all the RC stuff in your garage, put it in boxes and pile it in the front for the garbageman to pick up.
know nothing about this but the guy it seems the guy that flew with half a wing missing did an amazing job to have flown and landed as well as he did.
OMG IM THE 6000TH LIKE
*12:42** Were they from Brazil? I thought that there were no Brazilian teams in these presentations. Good to know have. Too bad they not were able to complete the presentation.* 😢

A moment of silence for that last one. I understand the amount of work it takes to create something of that size. That was tragic.
Saved the best for last! I don't think I have ever seen such complete destruction in a few seconds!

The last clip is the most epic one. rest in pieces
Was that plane made out of paper or something?.
Espectacular 😃👍👍.
The jet that disintegrated at the end of the video was 'Spectacular" .
Thanks
Insane clips. Thx for uploading
Wow that red Komet even jettisons the landing gear bogey! Great stuff!
Even if they did jettison slightly too early...
Awesome deadstick landing of the SR71 model!
The big Euro jet crash at the end, a far better show than what ever he was going to do.
SAAB JAS 39 Gripen
Mach weiter so.
Can't figure out if the 8:46 fly in was one to see who could fly lowest, make the best landing with no gear or what?
No just a landing with no landing gear (probably because of disability or just because it doesn't have one)and one jet motor(i don't know how you say that in English)

Toooooo weak construction regarding the size...
13:28 He landed that plane pretty well, that actually was a epic save! Props to this guy!
Or did you mean 12:38
11:28
Das war eine absolute Glanzleistung XD
Hey guys what airfield is that in 5:56-6:15? It's a grass runway with a red and white airplane. Is this airstrip in Germany? Thanks i would really like to know because that is an awesome place to fly!
The last one was pretty cool! There goes my 401K.
13:40 how did it shred itsel? Was it not meant for inverted flight?
Great skills with only one wing !
Wow I've never seen anything blow apart like that in the air all by it's self before
the last crash is just insane :D
Das letzte Video fand ich den hammer😂
13:29
13:37 to the end.
It was nice to see they didn’t give up hope that the pilot may have survived.
Why do the nose gear retract on the sr71 11:39 and 8x 12:20? Is that a failure or is the pilot doing it on purpose?
Hunterotica they broke off on contact.
ah thanks
13:30 kid:“nein....neiiiiiiin“ :'( you could hear the crying....
2:12.. wasn't a Banana Hobby model was it.. been there unfortunately
Brasil é foda.
hahahahaha... foi o mais extraordinario
Verdade 😓
kk somio
My favorite part was all the planes I didn't see crash because the video didn't start till after the crash happened. Fun!
13:28 Good pilots and good structural engineers are not the same thing: Don't fly one without the other.
Ngl that crash looks really cool though
great pilot with a single wing at the beginning of the video, landing could have been much worse
8:23 : what did he expect holding the plane this way ?
The thrill of victory 13:08
The agony of defeat 13:28
Es tut mir leid!
Love watching these guys crash their toy airplanes.
COMPILATION RC CRASH I also often experience it hehe...
Beautiful, thanks for the memories.
“That was some of the best flying I’ve seen yet, right up to the point where you got killed”. (Top Gun)
That was most entertaining!:-) That last mid air break up was no surprise. Yeah.
That jet landing 0.50 landing was cool. To bad it flipped at landing
nice crash!
My first model was a trainer scale 1:4 based on a Cessna 177 Cardinal and died exactly like the one at 5:55 ... it was a sad day for me... I have other models now but... man! Great on pilot had control
@ 6:05 Why did he crash? You can see the problem..His rear horizontal stabilizer came loose sending him into dive. Watch closely....
8:08 what was the plan, to dry hump the plane into the air?
@13:30... that self destructed more than a helicopter with a boom strike at 1000 meters AGL!!
keren banget pak..
Those germans are having all the fun.
0:35 That's some badass operator. One of the main wings has gone but he still flies that thing and even manages to land it without a total crash. Just the hard ground was a bad choice.
7:12 WTF is that??? This heli seems to defy the laws of physics!
13:30 Well, that one went out in style!
Nh
for some reason it looked really flimsy to me on the ground.
0:45 thought for sure it would make it down ok. Amazed the pilot kept such control
I find it funny how the guy flying is never the one picking up the pieces. Always some angry looking dad-type.
yeah, the commentator even mentions the fake video you are probably talking about.
Love it when those helis flying 3d go into the ground.
6:00 looks like the right elevator servo went crazy. Bad mixing or bad servo?
6.00 that was a beautiful plane
beautiful video ! =) What's your camera ?
13:28 best part of the vid
That was so satisfying. xD
The Sr71 landing was perfect for a dead stick.
Hard to watch....but I can't look away!
Congratulations for the achievement in the mechanical system of the wings, I thought that it may have installed a mini hydraulic pump and actuators, but the solution may be more efficient and lighter using a worm screw like he has demonstrated. Cheers is beautiful your model.
ALFREDO DURAND
13:28 He landed that plane pretty well, that actually was a epic save! Props to this guy!
Brings back many good and some bad memories
Anyone now what the 2 hand launch models at 6.23 are ?? . Many thanks ................
0:42 that is an amazing piece of flying
2:14 Launch lefty and throttle up with your lip so you can use elevator and aileron on launch. By the time his right hand gets back on sticks too late. Learn to use your left arm by tossing a football for a while.
2:13 Seltsame Art ein Modellflugzeug zu starten...
