    I dig my comfort gripper, excellent for single track, just as good for road miles....and it doesn’t look absurd. 👍🏻

    Im an Old Gummy and the stock seat is like riding a 2x4 with cloth on it.I rode it home about 30 miles and butt was sore fir a week..Haven’t had a chance to try the new Concepts unit yet,weather sucked ,then I tweaked my back..next week..

    I got the 2018 crf450r. And I’m wishing I got the x. Or maybe even the xr. I got back into riding after 10years off. Now I’m trying to switch out stuff on my r to make it more desert/comfortable-less race track-ish. Lol.

    I have a DR650 that comes with the standard factory upholstered board for a seat. I got a Sargents seat (free) from a buddy who sold his DR. Better, but not quite there yet. So I ordered a sheepskin seat cover (from Alaska Leather) specifically for dual sport bikes. Now I can only ride for (about) 4 miles at a time. Every 4 miles I have to get off the bike so my butt can laugh.😄 On the negative side... being from Kentucky, I look like a hillbilly pimp😎. But it's all good.👍

    I'm from the UK, just waiting on my comfort xl to be made and shipped. I wasn't sure whether to go with the standard comfort or the xl, your vid has made me think I have made the right choice!

    In the review you say to buy the XL over the standard comfort. On your website it doesn't appear that you carry the XL just the standard comfort. Please advise.

    Cool review! Do you guys make a universal plate for toggle switches and a 12volt as shown on the bike your riding? I own a DRZ 400s.
    Thanks!

    I'm sold on the seat. What is the Tusk device on the handlebar?

  • @MichaelTucker

    I can't work out why Honda skimped on the seat for the CRF450L. Particularly as the seat skin for the CRF250L will fit onto the carcass. ( I worked that one out later)
    I found an earlier model Seat Concepts seat online that I adapted to the original seat carcass, as the pain from the original seat was unbearable. The seat that they make for the CRF450L is a low profile seat which is better for shorties like me.

    When you coming out with the video what do you do with the twitchy Throttle

    • @jaypuck6912
      @jaypuck6912 4 роки тому

      So, it appears the twitchy throttle shows its ugly head when the coolant reaches 60 C (or is it 50?) and the ECU decides to cut fuel whenever you throttle down. There are ways to fix this I won't go into on a RMATV video. Some suggest they get used to it after a thousand miles. I didn't notice it in my first few rides and nor did one of my 450 class racing buddies. Well, that's because the bike wasn't fully warm. Now I know.

    Just be carefull when you order one, the price can almost be double as the advertised price.
    I payed 192€ shipping costs to Belgium, thats the same amount as the price of the seat!!
    It said 90$ shipping costs on the webshop. But once UPS came on my door with the package i had to pay another 102€! :o

    I don't have any problems with the stock seat. I have ridden mine for 4 hours at a time and don't have any pains but that is probably because I am not a fat-ass 56 year old. I work out. It seems everyone that rides ADV style is some fat old man (I'm old too). I think if people weren't fat they wouldn't be having ass problems.

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  8 місяців тому

      Unfortunately that's just not true. Justin, the rider in this video, weighs 140 lbs. But glad you're not having an issues with the stock seat!
