Just rewatching this. The binding on this mandolin is gorgeous. The back and neck construction are truly something to admire, and the tailpiece is as elegant as I've ever seen on any mandolin. Incredible. Thank you again!
Glad you appreciate it Jerrel…If you haven’t already done so, you might enjoy looking at pics of instruments on the Fylde website www.fyldeguitars.com/sto-mandola.html
Thanks Jerrel. Previous comments of yours indicated you liked the mandolin…which partly prompted me to make the video highlighting it. Also glad you enjoyed the music played on it!
Hiya John, Thanks very much for anither great video, I've fancied one of these Touchstones for a while but they are out of my price range at the moment. From a new subscriber in Lancashire. David.
David. Thanks very much for your comments. By coincidence, I don’t know if you’ve seen my advert on gumtree or not, but I’ve put the Fylde up for sale…approx. half price for the package…which I have some expression of interest in.
Thank you Frank…Yes, it took longer than I planned, as I was indecisive about what to put in…eg number of instruments, number of verses, etc. Decided to keep it minimalist and it seemed to work as a means of showing the instrument. Also, thanks for subscribing.
😂 I’m aware from the luthier that it came to life in 2018….however, I adopted it from eBay around 5 months ago (I think you may have commented on the first tune I recorded/posted played on it - ‘Will Ye Go Lassie Go’). Thanks, keep well.
@@johnwilliamson6846 As these instruments get better with time, you have a good chance to compare the sound that was five months ago with the sound that is for example five years from now or later.
Your clear and transparent morning forest-like sound of mandolin gives me fresh healing!
Thank you very much for watching and commenting. If my playing contributes anything to your “healing” I’m very pleased.
