- Last month, we looked at the melody to this beautiful tune. This time, we'll go through the chords.
The pdf worksheet that goes along with this video can be downloaded here: drive.google.com/open?id=1kJi...

You play "slow and steady" so beautifully!!
Thanks!
Perfect, thank you! My local session sometimes runs out of backing guitars so I'm working on being confident (and loud! 😅) with my chords. Very helpful!
hey Mike Im a guitarist taking on a new challenge the dreaded Mandolin . I find it a challenge but your lessons are without a doubt the best on the net and have helped me bridge the gap. Outstanding knowledge and teaching style thank you so much for you wisdom and enthusiasm .Jamie from VNCOUVER iSLAND bcCA
Just bought a mandolin, I have no musical experience, but you explained things very nicely, can't wait til I can efficiently play this song!
You are an excellent teacher. Thank you
Thank you, I love this tune.
Good job Mike thks
Love your teaching. I would love it if, when your videos start, you immediately show is what you are going to teach in advance. That would grab us immediately and save us time . Thanks
Hi Deborah, I completely agree! I've started to do exactly that on my latest videos :) … unfortunately I don't have time to go back and fix the old lessons like this one. Many Thanks, Mike
I enjoyed to first and second of this series. Very well explained. NOW any chance of an ADVANCE lesson for those of us who now need to go to the next level. Thanks again...
Thanks Greg. I hadn't thought of doing an advanced version of this tune, I've always just kept it simple … but I'll have a look in the new year to see if there'd be enough material to make a lesson out of it. Thanks, Mike
Looking for the pdf for the melody and chords
Why is there fingering dots over open strings on the chord diagrams?.
That's just my way of writing chords out. I've found that if I don't put the dot above the fret to denote the open strings and just leave it blank, people have misread that as 'don't play this string at all'. Might not be the best way but it works for me. Cheers, Mike
@@MandoMikeLessons ahhhh,
Got it now, hanx,
Keep up the good work bud.
damn, 5 minutes gone and ill never get them back. Is this lesson for the first time player?
Yes, it literally says 'Beginner' in the title of the video
Juneau or Skagway picture on the wall?
Telluride, Colorado :)
@@MandoMikeLessons Ah right, you got me there. Thought it was Alaska....don't forget about the tutorial for Mississippi Kid. classic mando blues, for those in the know, would get you wide recognition
Halfway through the video and you still haven’t played the song.
yep, completely agree. This is an older video, any videos made in the last two years start with a preview of the song.
