- A cover of Ashokan Farewell (Jay Ungar)
Recorded for MandolinCafe's Song-A-Week Social Group, week #280 : www.mandolincafe.com/forum/gro...
Please excuse the approximate fiddling and the blurry fiddle (auto-focus was even worse, and I do the video recording on my own).
Mandolin: Kentucky KM-150
Camera: Canon-650D
Audio: Zoom H2
Nicely done! A lovey tune well played.
Nicely played, esp. the mandolin's counterpoint to the mandola.
great job you played the song the way it was written without all the embellishment that so many add in hopes it makes them sound like a better player but usually messes up the song. it's like all these know it all comments on what key and how to play . either you like it or you don"t
Beautiful tune well played.
Absolutely beautiful and very beautifully done!!🛐👍💓🇺🇸❤️👏🌹💗💗🕎🌄🎆
Outstanding!!
Nice!
Awesome. May I suggest you work on the amount of bow travel when playing the violin? You'll get a much better tone if you can work on bowing at the same spot in between the bridge and fingerboard. Basically, your bow should be moving perpendicular to the neck of the violin
Beautiful interpretation. May I ask you if the second instrument is a Mandola or an Octave Mandolin? The Mandola should be tuned in CGDA while the one you're playin seems to be in GDAE, like the mandolin but an octave below.
What kinda mic did you use and how did you place it?
do i hear gun shots?
