I love the vibe of this video! The more i watch your videos, the more i feel like i want to choose radiology as my future career! And YES, i am very curious about how you plan your life! 💞
Hi dr gupta! Hope you are doing well. I am in a dilemma between internal medicine/fellowship and radiology. I love the idea of radiology, being the doctor's doctor seeing a wide variety of cases, short quick procedures but i have a few reservations 1) i hated my dedicated step period and studying alone in the initial years of med school. I worry if radiology where you work alone a lot would leave me depressed 2) even if we subspecialize the case mix for radiology seems so broad. How hard is it to keep up with so many advancements in so many specialities 3) my least productive hours are me working alone ; group studies and classes are where i do great. Radiology seems to be great speciality. Based on my above fears do you think its a good fit for me?
Love your videos!! I was so happy when I found someone making this kind of content, because I'm super interested in this career path. However, are there positions for PA's to work in diagnostic radiology?
There are *some* PA / NP / NPP jobs in radiology, diagnostics can be harder. Some I worked with in the past did some days on site helping with fluoroscopy and some days at home helping with protocoling studies. Every job is different. There are many more procedural jobs though!
Hello, thanks for the video! Curious whether you’re able to read tomo from your home set up?! And where do you find monitors with the resolution to be able to read mammography?!
Hi! Thank you for sharing your day in the life. I’m a soon to be breast imaging fellow (pgy-5 and almost done). I’m curious as to what made you decide to chose to wfh (or chose your particular job)? I’m trying to feel out what kind of job I’d like and would love to hear your opinion as a new-ish attending.
I mainly chose a WFH job because 1) the jobs closest to me wanted me to take call and I did not want that, and 2) after dealing with my son being home from daycare due to illness so many times it just because too stressful trying to find backup care. So I chose a job where I work primarily from home. I did choose jobs that still have a site within reasonable driving distance so I could maintain procedure skills and have a team atmosphere unlike working for a 100% tele company and I think this was the right move as a new attending wanting a more flexible lifestyle.
I have a whole video about this, but starting attending salary is in the ballpark of $350-400K in most places. ua-cam.com/video/PCF6cdQXJ4Y/v-deo.htmlsi=KaJhkUPC7OWvuEkY
Hello! There is SO much data on radiologist salary. I also have a whole video on it. I do not share my exact salary on my channel. You can definitely earn 500K as a radiologist in the US. ua-cam.com/video/PCF6cdQXJ4Y/v-deo.htmlsi=KaJhkUPC7OWvuEkY
such a great video, def feel the AM vibe. both excited to have this for myself, and terrified at the prospect at being on my own following residency!
You will be okay :) it is scary but a part of growth!!

Hello Dr. Gupta, thank you for the video! I was wondering how difficult it was to find a breast imaging WFH position?
Thank you in advance!
Can you share with us how to read breast imagings through different modalities please
I can show the different modalities (mammogram, US, MRI) but learning how to read them takes years and practice!
Hello, thanks for the video! Curious whether you’re able to read tomo from your home set up?! And where do you find monitors with the resolution to be able to read mammography?!
Yes I read tomo from home! So far my workplace has provided my workstations. But many people buy them on monitors.com

wheres the work
I don’t think anyone wanted to see me staring at my monitor for 8 hours so I cut out most of that 😇
Mam do you earn 500k dollars a year as a radiologist in usa? Please reply in yes or no. Thanks a lot.
