🥰🥰 I’ve found my people!!
I want to do radiology and how the heck do you feel so comfortable with some of these? It’s so hard to see something’s…
Residency and fellowship! 5 years of radiology specific training.
Networking in general isn’t talked about enough thank you
great advice true networking is important
It sure is! So critical!
@YashaGuptaMD AI IS SO BEAUTIFUL HAVE YOU SEEN HOW IT CAN READ IMAGES
These vids are very helpful and fun The music in the background is a bit too loud
Thanks for the feedback!!!
As a student interested in radiology I love these kinds of videos! very fun way to learn about those cases :)
Yay! Glad you enjoyed it!!
Thanks for this video! I would like to see more of these themed cases :D
You got it!
Great vid!
Thank you!
Please reply
Hi Dr I am a non US medical student looking for research experience, can you help me with that
Hi! This whole video is dedicated to finding research opportunities. I don’t have any other leads right now.
Can you help my son for matching?
Can you help my son for matcing?
She didn’t do much research…family medicine docs such as myself start at 300k fresh out of residency (in the state of California). Red states most likely less. Bonuses can definitely increase salary…I get a bonus of at least $20k each year. I also work urgent care a few hours on the weekend or whenever I want on which can supplement my income an extra 5k per month. Internal medicine physicians cannot work urgent care as we see a lot of pediatric patients and OB.
You don't take call now?
No I chose not to take call
@@YashaGuptaMD that's fantastic! Sorry for the second question- do you read general now? (I'm not familiar with which fellowship you did or if you chose not to do one)
@@barbarictearemedynot currently, I did fellowship in breast / oncologic imaging. I might start reading PET CT in the future!
i mean , I can just be disabled for a few years until i get my masters in surgical assisting and then go straight to being a first assist. i'd rather not have to do anything I don't want to do. which is basically pgy1 for most of medicine.
yes. imo 1-2 24 hour shifts as a crna are way better than going to work every day for 8 hours.
Great video doc
Ima do this if i can otherwise pm&r
Hiii Yasha Ma'am Thank you so much for helping us with these videos What might be the range of salary for a radiologist matched through Alternate pathway from 1st yr to 4th yr . And what one can expect post 4th yr . Is there any major differences between the Residency program and Alternate pathway post certification in job market. Thanks again for ur great work 🎉🎉😊
Give me the advice about fibrous dysplasia at lumber spine(L2).. After ot the the another tumour is growing at S1-S2
Dr. Gupta-what is your opinion of board-certified chiropractic radiologists. Are they real radiologists? 🥼🩻🩺
Hello Dr. Gupta, thank you for the video! I was wondering how difficult it was to find a breast imaging WFH position? Thank you in advance!
Wow!
Can you share with us how to read breast imagings through different modalities please
I can show the different modalities (mammogram, US, MRI) but learning how to read them takes years and practice!
This is lifestyle im hoping for
Hi dr gupta! Hope you are doing well. I am in a dilemma between internal medicine/fellowship and radiology. I love the idea of radiology, being the doctor's doctor seeing a wide variety of cases, short quick procedures but i have a few reservations 1) i hated my dedicated step period and studying alone in the initial years of med school. I worry if radiology where you work alone a lot would leave me depressed 2) even if we subspecialize the case mix for radiology seems so broad. How hard is it to keep up with so many advancements in so many specialities 3) my least productive hours are me working alone ; group studies and classes are where i do great. Radiology seems to be great speciality. Based on my above fears do you think its a good fit for me?
❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your videos! This was just what I needed to hear!! ❤️
❤️❤️❤️
You are living my dream life and helping me to be motivated to apply to med school thank you ❤
❤️❤️❤️ it’s worth it!!
BEST
I want to know ! How much radiology get paid 😢! I trying to go to med school
I have a whole video about this, but starting attending salary is in the ballpark of $350-400K in most places. ua-cam.com/video/PCF6cdQXJ4Y/v-deo.htmlsi=KaJhkUPC7OWvuEkY
I’m interested in this thank you for sharing!)
Yay! Thank you for watching! I loved making this video.
Hello, thanks for the video! Curious whether you’re able to read tomo from your home set up?! And where do you find monitors with the resolution to be able to read mammography?!
Yes I read tomo from home! So far my workplace has provided my workstations. But many people buy them on monitors.com
I said this somewhere else, but it honestly shocks me how many students and residents admit they thought medicine would be like they see it portrayed on grey’s anatomy. I feel lucky that I had the opportunity to see medicine in practice first-hand, as an outsider, when I worked alongside physicians as a medical SLP. And I think, like you touched on, people are disappointed when they graduate and begin residency that it truly is a job and they may not feel the passion or calling they thought they would feel. It’s like the illusions are lost and they’re faced with it potentially feeling like any other job - but with way more hours in a week lol. I really feel for those individuals.
It’s very sad! I think we sell a life or lifestyle that maybe existed many years ago, but medicine is different now. I hope people going into medicine know what they are signing up for!
wheres the work
I don’t think anyone wanted to see me staring at my monitor for 8 hours so I cut out most of that 😇
I am here for the vlogs! Keep them coming!
Thanks Judy!! Hope to see you in a couple weeks!!
I love the vibe of this video! The more i watch your videos, the more i feel like i want to choose radiology as my future career! And YES, i am very curious about how you plan your life! 💞
Yayyyy!! Radiology really is the best😊😊😊 I will definitely share my planning routine too:)
Hi! Thank you for sharing your day in the life. I’m a soon to be breast imaging fellow (pgy-5 and almost done). I’m curious as to what made you decide to chose to wfh (or chose your particular job)? I’m trying to feel out what kind of job I’d like and would love to hear your opinion as a new-ish attending.
I mainly chose a WFH job because 1) the jobs closest to me wanted me to take call and I did not want that, and 2) after dealing with my son being home from daycare due to illness so many times it just because too stressful trying to find backup care. So I chose a job where I work primarily from home. I did choose jobs that still have a site within reasonable driving distance so I could maintain procedure skills and have a team atmosphere unlike working for a 100% tele company and I think this was the right move as a new attending wanting a more flexible lifestyle.
@ that all makes sense. Thank you for answering!
Love your videos!! I was so happy when I found someone making this kind of content, because I'm super interested in this career path. However, are there positions for PA's to work in diagnostic radiology?
There are *some* PA / NP / NPP jobs in radiology, diagnostics can be harder. Some I worked with in the past did some days on site helping with fluoroscopy and some days at home helping with protocoling studies. Every job is different. There are many more procedural jobs though!
@YashaGuptaMD thank you so much for replying!! I will definitely keep that in mind for the future 💞
such a great video, def feel the AM vibe. both excited to have this for myself, and terrified at the prospect at being on my own following residency!
You will be okay :) it is scary but a part of growth!!
Loved the calm vibes, hope you guys all feel better! 💕
Thank you!!
Mam do you earn 500k dollars a year as a radiologist in usa? Please reply in yes or no. Thanks a lot.
Hello! There is SO much data on radiologist salary. I also have a whole video on it. I do not share my exact salary on my channel. You can definitely earn 500K as a radiologist in the US. ua-cam.com/video/PCF6cdQXJ4Y/v-deo.htmlsi=KaJhkUPC7OWvuEkY
it will take your job in 5 years I'm a medical doctor too
It's the same with me as an author, but i DONT want it to
Ha. Me neither, but we are drowning in volume and we need the help.
@YashaGuptaMD lol, I get you
radiology is a dying career AI is taking over soon
