As a lifelong United fan, Ruben's interview was music to my ears. I particularly loved his comments about Roy Keane. His acknowledgement that Keane had a massive influence both on and off the pitch. Every ex-player comments on his importance as Captain. Implicit in his comment was the importance of Leadership and Character within the team. He knows that has been lacking and he will be looking to bring such a leader in the future.

In the last 3 seasons theyve had a whole new starting 11 bar rashford, every player in that united squad is capavle of bejng world class, they all start for their international teams, theyve all good good qualities as individuals its just about getting them playing together as a team, and to do that youve got to have happy players and even when they were winnjng and won games them pkayers didnt look happy, amorim is the sort of manager that makes the players happy to play for him even when they lose games, and thats the difference. They wont lose confidence every time they lose a game like they did with ten hag, theres a reason when he was appointed alot of fans and players wernt sure about him at sporting, and by the time he left every player and fan loved him, even the players that wernt playing every week. With the current squad united have got they should not be 13th, thats purely down to tactics, workrate and confidence which all comes from the manager and spirit of his team. Add 1 quality signing in each of the next 3 windows and in 18months time youll have a team that can compete properly with liverpool and arsenal in the league each season. Theyll still be a step behind city but theyll be back where they belong in the top 4 each season, when you have players with some of the qualities the likes of onona, dalot, mazraoui, de ligt, yoro, martinez, shaw, casemiro, bruno, mainoo, mount, ugarte, garnacho, diallo ect have got, you cannot say thats not a team full of world class individuals that simply need coaching into a system that can bring out the best in each of them. Just look at casemiro for example, legs have gone, hasnt had anyone with legs that gets about the pitch next to him and hes struggled, the second ugarte has come in who is exactly who he needs next to him, casemiros has been absolutely quality, and its no coinsidence that caseniro always played very well when he played next to mctomminay in his firsg season because scott had the legs to get about and cover casa when he goes forward like modric used to. Its about getting the right connections between the players, the players thenselves are all quality bar 1 or 2. @@dondamon4669

Man Utd fans around the world but mainly in the UK, you can see it, you can feel it, the goodness in him, his humbleness to everything but still having assertive and direct ideas. He will have your respect, no matter what, he´s the kind of guy to pull the good in you and to strech you to your highest level of perfomance. Besides, he´s Portuguese :) and i know we can be a small country but you all know that we´re, indeed, good, strong people and that makes us so different from everybody else. We´ve never seen a coach like him, this is a breath of fresh air, you´ll see.

United fan from old trafford here.
Im not going to make any wild predictions about Ruben, but what i will say is this.....
Theres a very different feeling about him coming in than with any manager since Sir Alex retired.
He genuinely seems happy to be here.
He looks and sounds completely calm when others had more serious tone.
Theres no expectations as hes not been a coach that long.
Its extremely refreshing and offers hope.
I hope the players see itvthis way too.
They are well paid premier league footballers for one of (if not THE) biggest club on earth.
    Start enjoying football again.
Lets see them smiling on the pitch and working hard.

Although Sporting fans are used to suffering and wait long between trophies last year I witnessed something I never had before: Sporting suffered a goal in the first 3 minutes and the fans reaction was clapping in support.
