Communication is a massive part of any coaching job, not just specific to the Man United manager. It's fairly obvious from the interview that he can be clear, concise and relatable. Hopefully he is a success.
And in Portuguese he is even better at it. Once his English starts to really improve, then you'll get the full picture of how great he is. I'm gonna miss his press conferences for sporting😢

Good communication is the foundation for every project in life. Eric didn’t inspire audiences with his answers in press conferences. The disconnect was obvious in press conference sessions and dressing room meetings were probably the same because he communicated confusing messages in dressing rooms for sure.
@darren6076 communication us one thing, controlling the narrative is a whole next level. @@dondamon4669Ten Hag had a complete new team of players. You can't just keep blaming the players. Ten Hag brought so many players he wished for and failed.
In the last 3 seasons theyve had a whole new starting 11 bar rashford, every player in that united squad is capavle of bejng world class, they all start for their international teams, theyve all good good qualities as individuals its just about getting them playing together as a team, and to do that youve got to have happy players and even when they were winnjng and won games them pkayers didnt look happy, amorim is the sort of manager that makes the players happy to play for him even when they lose games, and thats the difference. They wont lose confidence every time they lose a game like they did with ten hag, theres a reason when he was appointed alot of fans and players wernt sure about him at sporting, and by the time he left every player and fan loved him, even the players that wernt playing every week. With the current squad united have got they should not be 13th, thats purely down to tactics, workrate and confidence which all comes from the manager and spirit of his team. Add 1 quality signing in each of the next 3 windows and in 18months time youll have a team that can compete properly with liverpool and arsenal in the league each season. Theyll still be a step behind city but theyll be back where they belong in the top 4 each season, when you have players with some of the qualities the likes of onona, dalot, mazraoui, de ligt, yoro, martinez, shaw, casemiro, bruno, mainoo, mount, ugarte, garnacho, diallo ect have got, you cannot say thats not a team full of world class individuals that simply need coaching into a system that can bring out the best in each of them. Just look at casemiro for example, legs have gone, hasnt had anyone with legs that gets about the pitch next to him and hes struggled, the second ugarte has come in who is exactly who he needs next to him, casemiros has been absolutely quality, and its no coinsidence that caseniro always played very well when he played next to mctomminay in his firsg season because scott had the legs to get about and cover casa when he goes forward like modric used to. Theres a very different feeling about him coming in than with any manager since Sir Alex retired. He genuinely seems happy to be here. He looks and sounds completely calm when others had more serious tone. Theres no expectations as hes not been a coach that long. Its extremely refreshing and offers hope. Strong in his principles and in character clearly! “If you are for the team, I would rather lose my job then throw you in front of the bus!” True leadership 👏
I love how composed and open he is, ten hag shut down and shouted at reporters when his style wasn't working, this Ruben is alot more open and really digs deep into topics instead of avoiding them. Hope he stays this composed as it really says alot about his character and hopefully his attitude towards coaching. Welcome Ruben!
Thats silly. The media and even neville himself were disgusting towards ten hag from day 1. Go back and watch neville and carraghers interview with ETH when he joined. Look at how previous press conferences went with how the media treated him. They didn't want him because the fans wanted him. The media, neville and pundits all wanted Pochettino because they knew him and liked him. Ten hag was given a rough ride from the start. Lets hope they behave with Amorim. For now their is calm, if he loses a few games the media hounds will be writing him off after a month.
As if other managers haven't had disagreements with journalists before. Fergie, Klopp, Mourinho to name a few. There was nothing wrong with Ten Hag's treatment of reporters. He was displaying self-belief. Other managers have done the same. And I cannot recall a single time when Ten Hag shouted at reporters. By most accounts he was respectful to them. 100%. That’s what Erik lacked imo.
And in Portuguese he is even better at it. Once his English starts to really improve, then you'll get the full picture of how great he is. I'm gonna miss his press conferences for sporting😢
The best managers are man mangers. Like Pep, klopp and Ancelotti. They know what to say and when to say to keep people onside. Ruben seems to be same. Communication is so important, it’s exactly what ten hag lacked.
Those managers were able to control the narrative with the media, a superlative narrative that controlled fans amd a whole other narrative for players.

We’ve been in this honeymoon period, many many times before
Ten hag finished 3th his first season, stop d riding lets see in a few years
Thats silly.
@@Dixon-Myazagree. The media are biased against United but the treatment of ETH was shocking. He had every right to give it back.
Ten Hag's weakness was his communication in English. You make it sound like he was a terror to reporters, which he wasn't.
This guy is a poet! Smooth as silk and absolutely unflappable! Do you feel it? Thats the wind is change!
Speaks with so much authority. This is the guy to take United back to challenging, loved his stuff on having 1 idea.
I don't know why I'm so in love with this guy. He's so precise with his points, knows what to say at a particular time. He surely knows what to do with United. I'm happy. ❤
Bro am here with you, I can listen to him talk the whole day
@@JosephXhwa-d3m Bro, the guy is too good a communicator, he's got this charm.
Now I understand the reason why CR7 calls him "The Poet".
Im portuguese, i can understand what he wants to say, but i already love his communication, i can only imagine 6months from now how proficient he will be. you guys bought a fantastic coach, im sure!
I like the way he directely told him "you and other guys will judge me for that"
Like let me just let you know now 😂
