Then somebody broke into my garage and stole them. So I had to get a replacement after the insurance settlement. I purchased this unit, not only because it puts out 4,000 w peak, but I'm impressed with the Bluetooth app, and I'm anxious to use this and see how it works. I hope it doesn't embarrass me, but I feel pretty good after watching your video that I'm going to be fine. All of my powered sound runs on class D amplifiers. And I love the fact that it's got a pure sine wave output.
That’s very impressive. Why these generators are getting smaller and smaller and that’s just so awesome. I have a 4500 W Westinghouse that’s pretty good size and my wife can’t handle it by herself. I think one more iteration of a little bit smaller than this one then that will do the trick. That small unit running your air-conditioning and a 2000 W microwave was awesome.

Gavin's Garage ? I have a question about the portable inverter generators. Can you tell me the horsepower of the 4 stoke gas motor in the inverter generators with 1600-3000 watts ? most of them I read have 79cc 4 stoke motors but Honda is 100cc and up but I can't find the horsepower of motor.
The MXR4000 does not have electric start. The MXR4000gt is duel fuel (gas/propane), electric start and start/stop from the app. I didn't realize that the mxr4000 didn't have electric start and remote start. My wife and I discussed it. We'll keep this one and in a few months get a mxr4000gt. They'll be used for RV'ing. So the ft version will be our primary generator, because I want the remote start/stop feature. Propane might be handy if we run out of gas. And if needed we can parallel them together. 240vac 25 amps could be handy. Finally having a backup if the primary fails while boondocking could be a life savor.
Hey Gavin, question not regarding this video of yours but others. How are you able to pull more than 30amps from your generator when you are plugged into a 30amp plug. We have a 50amp camper and a 30amp generator also ourselves also and I don’t understand how this works.

How does it work with a 30amp 240V generator into a 50 amp camper compared to selecting 120? Can the camper handle the 240 vs 120 automatically? I do use a 30 to 50 amp adapter cable and use 50 amp cables with a 50 amp power watchdog into our camper. Thanks
@@Chiedl If your RV is 50 amps then it is 240Vac or 12000 Watts. An RV 30 amp is 120Vac or 3600 Watts. When you use a 50 amp to 30 amp converter it allows you to connect your RV to 30 amp service. There is also a converter to connect an RV 30 amp to a standard 20 amp 120Vac, 2400 watts. Whether your RV can handle 240Vac automatically will be easy to tell. If your RV has a big heavy 50 amp cable (the plug will have 4 pins, ground, neutral, hot 1, and hot 2) then it is designed for 240Vac and will automatically use 240Vac as long as you use that big heavy 50 amp cable. If your RV comes with a lighter 30 amp cable (the plug will have 4 pins, ground (round shaped), neutral and hot (pins are angled to almost form a V) it can only handle 120Vac. Although the 50 amp RV electric system is capable of 240Vac at 50 amps or 12000 Watts that amount of power is rarely used. Even if you have 3 large 15,000 BTU air conditioners, together they should use less than 2000 Watts each. An electric water heater should use less than 1500 Watts. Even if you also use a 1750 Watt hair dryer, a 1000 Watt microwave, a 1000 Watt cooking appliance and a 120Vac RV clothes dryer less than 1500 Watts all at the same time you would be at about 12,750 Watts. Your 4000 Watt generator can output a maximum of 120Vac 33.3 amps, which will be limited to 3600 Watts using an RV 30 amp cable. If you had 2 of those generators and a parallel kit, it would be a maximum of 8000 Watts minus a bit of inefficiency, to probably +/- 7500 Watts. This would require using the RV 50 amp cable. If you bought a larger generator, say the Predator 9500 with 7600 Watt maximum running then you would need a converter from 240Vac 30 amp generator to 50 amp RV. This will limit you to 7200 Watts. It's actually best not to run you generator at 100% load, so losing 400 Watts isn't huge. Of course you could also utilize the 120Vac connections on the generator if you really want to maximize the power output. I happen to use this generator as backup power for my house. I generally turn off the electric heaters, stove, dryer, and water heater by their breakers. If power is out long enough I could turn on my heat pump water heater, but to be safe I'd turn of my 2 fridges and freezer as a house water heater could use up to 8000 Watts. Hopefully this helps.

If I remember correctly this one had a continuous 3200 rating 4000 peak it would do it on a 70 degree day it seemed to me the fuel was vaporizing in the carb idk his might be defective to I have a firemen 3650 ir and it was able to do the same load

I was kind of surprised, it handled the load so well. It never lowered its voltage even that high outputs maintain 120V at full load.
