Thanks Troy, I've not been at my bench much lately but I certainly have more trucks in the pipeline! I think the COE builds into a nice old truck if you take time to correct the build issues.
Thanks Jon, I appreciate your comment! Yeah I looked at the mirror brackets and decided that making new ones would be much less hassle than trying to work with the kit parts. If I build another one, those cab steps are going out the window as well!
@@SpringerModelReviews it’s going lol I have the frame done I stretched it out and lost the driveshaft because I started it back in 2016 and moved but I’ll make a video on it soon to share
@@BigRigRandy Yeah I'd say be careful with the cab, the interior fit is pretty tight. Good luck and I look forward to seeing your video when it's done!
@@SpringerModelReviews I love the cab over semis, wanted one in my collection so bad, I just couldn't get them to work for me. Very rarely do I give up, but twice this one defeated me. Like I said, love seeing them build, kinda living thru everyone else's builds
@@carouselofcrazychrisb Well there are other cabovers to try. Revell and AMT both offered KW K100 Aerodynes, I built the Revell (Germany) one and it's nice though the chassis is pretty short.
Unfortunately this kit is a pig just about all the old AMT/ERTL semi kits are like this, I’m currently working on the Ford C-900 (which I drove for 9 years) and it’s just as bad, fit issues, no sprue numbers and very soft (read bad) detail on some of the parts. But they’re the only game in town when it comes to most of these trucks. For your next one I suggest the new International Transtar CO-4070A by AMT these are all new molds (based on one of the original ERTL kits) but cleaned up and any issues were corrected it’s a beautiful kit and goes together like a dream. Now if only they did this with the rest of them.
Yes my friend, a nice example of the COE, this kit did have some issues but I think you ironed them out, keep the truck builds coming

Your truck model came out
very good, congratulations!
The side mirrors are a nightmare. I see you fabbed some new ones. Very nice build. Keep on Truckin'!

Very nice
Thanks!
She turned out Great!!!! Nicely Done!!!!
Thank you Mike!
awesome looking build sir very cool
Thanks!
Very nice job on a challenging kit,Well done!
Love it, I’m currently building one myself
Thanks Randall. How is your build going, are you running into many issues?

@@SpringerModelReviews and no issues yet we’ll see how putting the cab together goes loo

Amazing work! I've tried to build this one a couple times, failed each time. Always good to see it built up!!!!
Thanks Chris! It's a labour of love, I suppose. Much as it has ended up with some iffy fitting, I still like how it turned out.

@@SpringerModelReviews gonna have to check them out. I built the revell peterbilt cab but not familiar with much more from them
👍👍👍

These AMT model kits will
challenge your building skills!
Lot's of trimming and dry fitting, before glueing part's
together.
Tough kit. Biggest downside is that two-piece cab. Great job on it
Thanks! Yeah the 2-piece cab was a bit of a pain.
I know these AMT kits are
hard too build,they don't have
the best instructions! Some of
the part's will not fit,and this will be a problem!
