  • Nerve compression symptoms doesn't mean you will get paralyzed.
    Pain the legs from nerve compression in the spine will not cause paralysis. The motor nerves that control your muscles are in a different location and may not get compressed at all even if you have a nerve compression! Lets learn about herniated discs, nerve impingement, disc bulges and their impact on the nerves and body.

    This is the best most comforting video I’ve seen with someone who has a disc bulge with sciatica but no motor effects. Thank you so much !!

    awesome content! When I walk a little bit or stand 5 min, my calf muscles then hamstrings get tight in one leg then pain in back. It is very painful and I cannot lift leg up enough to be able to walk and have to pull leg up into car (if I was out). why is this? MRI does not show compression but have numbness in feet/ankles.

      Hi Karen, thank you for your comment! There could be several reasons for tightness in the calf and hamstrings, but the most likely cause would be weakness or imbalances in the leg and lower back muscles. This can lead to tightness and pain, especially after standing or walking, and may affect your ability to raise your leg when getting in and out of a vehicle. It's important to note that not all nerve compression is visible on an MRI.
      There's also the possibility of SI joint involvement, which is part of the larger issue of muscle imbalances. The pain referral patterns of the SI joint can mimic sciatica symptoms and may be more relevant to ligaments than nerve damage. The SI joint, part of the pelvis and spine, consists of five fused vertebrae forming the sacrum. Nerves pass through holes in the sacrum, and compression can occur, causing symptoms.
      The L5 nerve often travels along the joint line, where impingement may occur due to muscle tension or inflammation. Nerves emerge from the sacrum, leading to the sciatic nerve, which extends down the leg, causing various symptoms.
      Compression doesn't necessarily involve bone; inflammation or hypertonic muscles can also lead to nerve compression. Ligaments, especially the posterior ones, can get stressed, causing irritation and instability. The goal is to reduce inflammation and stabilize the joint to prevent swelling, similar to the body's response to a sprained ankle. The SI joint's swelling may be internal, making it crucial to address inflammation and stabilize the joint to alleviate symptoms. I hope this is helpful!

    I have space reduced between l5 and s1 due to a injury. Will it cure ever ?can I be normal

      @CoreBalance  4 місяці тому

      Hi there, thank you so much for your comment! Yes, you can be normal; many individuals with this type of issue have been able to address the muscle imbalances in their body, which helps to increase the amount of space at the L5-S1 vertebrae and can provide significant relief. Not only can addressing muscle imbalance in the body improve the quality of life, but it can also help prevent further damage to the spine from occurring, and our program does help with this. This can also provide the optimum environment for potential healing to take place.
