Those are real parents, when signs show don’t ignore ‼️
Parents who allow a crazy child to have access to their firearms ... yeah they are sooo “real”
There's this thing called a safe and it contains a lock, the kid wouldn't of been able to get the guns, all I keep out a my handgun which is on me at all times the rest in the safe.
nilson benavides I completely agree, parents are at fault here and people are praising them
J P, I will give the parents some credit, but they should have called 911.
Police could arrive quicker and have the training needed.
The school could have been alerted ASAP by the police and put on lockdown.
Well possibly true , very true ... although I’m sure all that was going through the parents minds were “how do we save our son”, they obviously put their sons life infront of every other life that was at the school that day... and once again, people are “praising” these parents 🤦♂️🤦♂️ only in America..
Ain’t going to lie. My heart broke for those parents.
Jon Ornelas true imagine how they felt while seeing the weapons in his bag
Why? They left their guns where their mentally ill kid could get them. Its 10p% their negligence that made this happen.

Don’t underestimate what some kids are capable of. These things can happen under many circumstances, and the best thing to know is that nobody got hurt because the parents were responsible enough to understand their kids emotions, and notice when something like a weapon went missing during the same time period.
@@steakman You're making an awful lot of assumptions. You don't know their life. The fact that they were able to notice missing weapons and get to the school before the police were even alerted shows they were aware of a lot more than you think.
@@Soccerrockker6 one more point. What does having to know their life have to do with the FACT that if their guns were in a safe that he didnt have access too..... this wouldnt have happened....
The world needs parents like this. They saw the signs, realised the missing firearms and acted accordingly. This could've went very badly, but thanks to the officers and the parents this kid can get help.

At the end of the day, if he was truly in a state to cause damage, and not just suicidal he would have put that first shot into somebody. This was a cry for help from a truly traumatized individual. No matter how good your life is at home, with the internet we have to be worried about our children on so many more levels then just domestic.
could hahve been avoided altogether if they kept their firearms locked properly.
@@Bigbacon Your argument isn't very sound, although keeping the firearm locked away properly would've prevented him from doing this now but what happens if he did this later on in his life where his parents wouldn't have been a position to stop him and he had complete control over his own firearm?
Well the sons future is f*cked at this point anyways
No, the kid's life is probably ruined.
I can't imagine how heartbroken his parents were when they were finding weapons in his bag

These were some very responsible parents, who not only saved their son but probably saved the lives of fellow students and teachers. Thank goodness.
right....so responsible that the son managed to grab all the weapons from the father's gabinet and a bunch of ammo. Responsible gun owners would never allow that to happen.
I think he was being bullied by students and I think he was trying to suicide tbh
@@arrcchu no kid should be bullied to the point of killing others or themselves.
not responsible enough to secure their firearms, but they redeemed themselves by preventing tragedy for glad for them. Let this be a lesson
@@williamlee4619 You don't get to dictate what responsible means. Stop looking at if's and but's and start looking at consequences and results. The result here is that a kid got access to a bunch of weapons and took them to school, I don't care why or how, if this kid managed to do it, it's the parent's fault and it was a lack of responsability. Also, you think the parents gave the kid a shotgun with a real caliber for him to train and defend the house? If they did then you have your answer right then and there, irresponsability.
So, he ran in the class, shoot at the ceiling, to bring everyone's attention to himself, before trying to shoot himself. He was trying to say "Look what you all did to me". But we don't actually know, why he tried to do that. Was it bullying, or some problems with learning ?
Poor guy, hopefully he got send to psychologist/therapist. Even worse that his parents had witnessed it.
He brought a lot of guns and ammo, I think he was definitely considering harming others as well but that teacher had talked him out of it. I hope he gets some help as well.
Some problems with learning?
Really?
Who shoots himself over learning problems?
If so, the parents are crazy prestigious!
@@RKroese it happens and kids and teens handle things differently....I know someone who committed suicide because they couldn't keep up in class
@@dariuscoleman3660 I blame the parents telling the kid he's worthless if he can't keep up.
Know they nothing of the human psyche?
Or parental love?
@@RKroese Some parents push their children to do better than them. Most of the time it gets to the point where the kid's opinion is irrelevant and all that matters is the kids perform better than them, almost as if they are using the kids as a way to cope with the guilt a past failure.
I felt my parent's love from a flying sandal when my grades dropped by 1 percent, when they themselves flunked school and is barely able to keep ourselves afloat from all the debt.
He shot into the ceiling and pulled it on himself. This kid really didn’t want to hurt anybody.
That is solid parenting, they saw a xhange, they paid attention and they saved lives. Now hopefully their son can get the help he needs and them too after such a situation.
It’s not solid parenting. Check the video description and it was his parents guns. The parents should not have custody if they won’t lock their guns up.
@@Restrictedeightteen sorry. It’s just my opinion as well.
Took me a minute to realize what xhange was
Agreed both need help. And even though the parents perhaps, should have kept their guns locked away. They also probably trusted their son and didnt notice anything iffy until that day ofc. I imagine they are in pure shock due to the unexpected event. As you said and im saying, i hope they get the help they need and i wish the best for them. Were all human at the end of the day and we were all innocent at birth, i feel like people forget this sometimes.
@@Restrictedeightteen did you missed the part where they said it was the second time he did it
Vigilant parents my heart goes out to the two of them. Hope his son gets and receives the help he so desperately needs. Praying for his parents.
And the cop reacted faster than the cops who waited while that texas elementary school shooter was killing people
They are idiots. Without them owning the guns this would not have happend...
not vigilant enough to realise their son was suicidal and (apparantly) willing to kills his schoolmates and teachers
but vigilant enough to realise their son took their guns
lemao
@@rodi8266 Frr that's what I was thinking about. Like the parents should've notice it sooner
@@rodi8266 and not vigilant enough for the boy to not just take the weapons.
this is the one and only case I heard of where both parents were on the alert of their son needing him. once they both seen how he was acting, that morning and check his room, the father check his guns and seen they were gone. mom and dad went straight to the school and save a lot of lives their boy was or maybe about to do , then take his life. Great parents for putting their health of their son above their own worries. more parents need to be alerted on what their child / children are going though on a daily bases. it is hard , but , it is worth it.
Those parents are on point!!
FINALLY PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY WATCH THEIR KIDS!
They didn't know what was going on with their son quite fully, but they saw their guns go missing and that's when they knew something was up. At least they jumped into action when they saw their guns missing. I hope they really tried to reach him since he obviously felt out of place and misunderstood, but being a teenager, you can put yourself down easily, and trying to keep your feelings from showing to everybody is commonplace nowadays.
They shoulda been doing more than watching him, that boy didnt learn sh*t.
I'm not saying the parents are in the right here, but I don't think you knew exactly what happened with the kid. I wouldn't assume that it was the parent's problem, but it can be.
Exactly. My parents have encouraged me to harm students at my school, but Id never do something like that. My parents are horrible.
@@Lunaliladee your parents couldve been teaching you how to stand up for yourself. You know "be a man" type ish. Maybe your parents understand that sometimes violence is the only answer against kids being stupid on the playground. You were a kid and probably couldnt do much anyway. Maybe your parents were juat real.
Can we talk about how fast that cop got there and rushed in blindly without waiting for backup?
that was my exact thought. like he ran in there no hesitation
...hoping he would get to shoot someone. The situation had been under control because of the parents but he still shoo'd them away like they were the problem
your pfp doesnt work on people using dark mode lol
@@martuuk8964 if the cop got a shot at the kid at any of his vital organs his body would not care if it was a puny pistol or a shotgun or rifle that the cop was holding. He would still die. This is a poor excuse. Many rifle men have been killed with pistols. The cop who decides not to go in is just a coward plain and simple or has not had enough training.
Can’t trick me wiv ur pfp *Go Dark Mode* 😌
This must be a result of bullying
i feel like that kid regretted this once his parents came to him at school and stopped him because he then realized he's not alone but good job for the parents
This is the reason why more people should pay attention to her children what's going on with them in their daily lives to prevent a tragedy from happening
Nail on the head. It's all about bad parenting. People ask me, how do your children speak before mine and know their numbers letters and can do things only kids years ahead of them can do. All I say is TEACH THEM.
luckily these parents did pretty well by noticing he was acting weird and that there were missing guns, so luckily no one was hurt
And then a bunch of kids on r/teenagers are complaining about their parents being too caring and protective.
this is the reason it shouldnt be legal to have a shotgun and pistol just laying around for youre kids to grab
@@DavidSjodinisbest no. this is nothing near that. im sure the parents hid the guns but their kid found out where it was. also, if you parent your kid good enough, they will know to not take a gun.
Thank God for his parents. This is what it is going to take to stop this carnage. Parents that are present and responsible. Prayers for the family. 😢
I can’t imagine the pain these parent had to endure my heart goes out to them
maybe they should have secured their guns, they are enabling this child to commit this act
@@JacobGrigsbyhow do you know they werent? Kids are smart in figuring these things out.
@@JacobGrigsby Maybe they did
Your point holds as much weight as mine :)
Cool, parents who actually pay attention to their teens emotions.
Yeah but they left easy access to their guns
@@2inchefromtheground definitely not smart and that’s agreed, but with the chances of something like this happening being extremely low you never think it will be your kids, even if they seem depressed
@@slottygaming9996 defiently smart. Not many parents do this probably wasn’t easy access either he probably figured out the code to a safe
hmmm yes, very cool parents, having guns out in the open with children that probably think they could use it as a cowboy gun toy, very smart.

@@xCmOn3yx777 FARMINGTON - A 15-year-old who pleaded guilty to bringing two guns to school and firing one round into the ceiling of a Mueller Park Junior High School classroom was sentenced to spend time in a Juvenile Justice Services facility.
At the sentencing hearing Thursday, Feb. 23, defense attorney Lindsay Jarvis said based on the teen’s record, she *doesn’t expect him to be in the facility for more than a year.*
Juvenile Judge Janice Frost said the length of the teen’s stay at the facility will depend on his cooperation and willingness to get treatment.
“We don’t act in isolation,” Frost said to the teen during the hearing. “Our actions affect other people, and it’s important for you to take responsibility for that.”
I appreciate that his parents came to the school and, thank God, were able to disarm him without further incident. What I don't understand is why, if they had noticed he was behaving strangely, they hadn't first secured their firearms, and then gotten him some kind of help.
Thank god his parents saw the signs. Mental health is a very important issue that needs help
When Eminem said:
"When a dude's getting bullied and shoots up his school
And they blame it on Marilyn and the heroin
Where were the parents at?"
This kids parents took that personally.
That kid wasn’t born when that album came out, the parents were probably prime listening age, you never know

@Ab Is that a question?
@Ab way I am
Marylin and heroin are bad and always bad. not sure if Eminem is trying to make them look good when it isn't.
So glad the teachers could keep him from attacking and that his parents were aware enough to notice he changed and that weapons were missing and rushed back to stop him.
Yeah . It’s amazing how different things play out depending on the individuals involved. If it was another teacher maybe they could have provoked/triggered him to harm other students, maybe the particular teacher knew how to calm him down and understood the kids struggles
He was trying to shoot himself, not others. He shot at the ceiling to attract attention to himself.
@@mechspace he brought an awful lot of firepower for someone not considering harming other people.
Also, they said one of his friends helped talk to him to keep him calm. Pretty impressive for someone that young to have that courage.
