Great Finds Dude !! I still have all my vintage gaming gear ! Dreamscape, PS2, PS3, XBOX 360, Gamecube, Wii, and all the modern stuff like PS5 and XBOX Series X :) Your collection is looking great with these new additions you found ! I work with content creators and streamers mostly on Twitch and love how everyone is into the vintage gear ! Congrats on the new place and studio too !
We all love a bargain, but as the sellers are most likely very poor, I would give them the asking price if I know I'm getting a good deal to start with.
Thailand is actually a haggling culture. The starting asking price is rarely the market price. If foreigners stop haggling it reinforces a double pricing regime that has all sorts of other negative unintended consequences.
Then you have no clue how bad you’ll get ripped off living here for years 200 baht for a VHS not a single person would buy unless to put on a shelve is highway robbery. Markets are there to negotiate. A thai person would of left with it for 20-40 baht.
What you're thinking of are countries like Vietnam and further east. Thailand follows it's South Asian contemporaries more closely in terms of the pervasiveness of bargain culture.
A guy who's been to over 50 countries here. I understand your actions may come from good intentions, but your uninformed, outsider mentality often leads to negative side effects-like inflation, locals being priced out, and the creation of tourist-only scammy shops. Take the time to learn about the culture of a country before you travel there. Do as the locals do; they'll manage just fine without your 'savior' attitude. Think beyond the immediate transaction and consider its broader consequences.
I absolutely love when you & Rob (projectbkk) do these kinda videos 👌🏾 love a good second hand shop. Its like a gold mine 😍 Adding this place to my list of places to visit
For a long time, as the price of Chanel increased, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I'll be happy that I have the kislux as my travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
Super Famicom for 350 THB was a steal! The Mario Bros. figures for 50 THB were actually a good buy as well, which was likely why the vendor wasn't willing to budge on the price. 👍
Man even 2000thb is a MASSIVE bargain for a fully operational snes in good condition. That goes for $170 to $200 in Australia. Maybe more from a shop. Absolute score 👌🏼
Can't wait to drive down to Bangkok and spend a whole week perusing this place with my gf. We are moving into a 3 bedroom together in CNX and have a lot of space to decorate with retro stuff. It's so awesome to indulge in nostalgia for such a great price. Your place is looking awesome, my friend. 👌
That's sick dude. In NZ a in box SNES combo is going for $1088.53 and bids are still climbing. Modded consoles that take SD cards are a lot cheaper, still look the part and your mainly playing on your old hardware. Just not wearing out your $200-400 cartridges
Was there last week picked up lots of band t shirts for less than $5 some as low as $2 some records including some Beatles Japanese 45s which I paid only 10 baht a kilo for so had about 35 records for less than $2 , a great place to spend a day
wow man! 🤩 il have to check out that place when i eventually decide to spend some time in bangkok, ive saved thousands upon thousands buying my clothing from salvos stores in aus, so much variety & always such a thrill to score designer brand stuff or sports jerseys for $2-$7aud & alot of it then ends up my attire for the pattaya nightlife 😁
They have some awesome retro stuff shops. I saw Cartridges of my childhood in perfect condition. They were not cheap though. Since I wanted a souvenir I got myself a cheap fake NES with all the Classics on it. Getting a Raspberry Pie would have been cheaper but sometimes you have to feed the need for toys :-)
look up those restoration vids that use hydrogen peroxide and uv to re-whiten the plastic casing of the snes to get it looking new again! place looks neat.
Shit I still remember getting a Super Nintendo when it was brand new. Also I am getting you a Chicago Cubs hat so you can take off that Chicago White Sox hat 😂😂😂
350 bath less then 10 euro mate for a snes, thats a steal. Enjoy it mate, i still have the original one in box which i bought back in the 90's. Have fun with it, cheers mate 👊🍻
I can totally understand you want to 'own' that iPhone 4s in the box just for nostalgic reason! Cool purchase. Do you have any idea Pattavikorn market also have like Sony Walkmans?
Bro ! Super Famicon / Super Nes - I played street fighter 6 and Temken 8 with my Fighting community this weekend was fun as- if you need a Arcade stick I have recommendations and a couple for sale
KEISY !! Make sure you get a N64 also !! SNES and N64 ARE our childhood ! Make sure that retro games console are rocks out ! Oh, and next year I’ll absolutely whoop you at any Mario Kart on any console ! Haha. Cookie
Great score with the Super Nintendo Im from the Atari 2600 and Commodore 64 generation Currently collecting physical media for the PS3 Do they have many PS3 games available at these markets in Thailand
Aloha bro, When I seen you in Tokyo ,did you check out Akihabara where all the retro electronics are sold? They got lots still new in box and all the games but not 10$ lol But still cheap compared to ebay.... Might need go back stock up some games now lol. We are going back for Halloween..... Nice video I gotta check that place out when we come back to Thailand.

never knew about this market, cool. but just keep in mind that one day you will have to unload (sell or throw away) all of the Stuff you are buying for your new place. i felt so liberated when i sold all of my crap before leaving the USA and only buy mission essential items now.

That's how it's done in Thailand they ask for too much and then you negotiate for an acceptable price to both . He wasn't being cheap or doing nothing wrong , it's the way of the world over there .
Haha nah you are expected to barter at the markets, it’s half the fun.. if the guy wasn’t into it he would have said no, like the lady with the Mario figurines
If you think it was worth 2000 and he is asking for 400. Why try to get it even lower?🤦🏿♂️ There is trying to get a deal. And then is just taking advantage of folks. Sorry for the bad vibes

Trying to haggle when he already gives you a crazy good price of 400 THB for a working SNES seems a little bit rude to me.
I just painted all the interior of my house i realized all pictures on walls and plastic junk is just in the way so i threw everything out..
